Hey Guys, the missing heads issue should be solved now. I was caused when they were used in combination with certain other mods.

The issue was that those mods did overwrite some vanilla texture files of the original reiksguard head model which i still used since i only had to edit certain layers. Now they also use their own copy of those files to prevent this from happening again^^

I'll disable everything and tell you later, I had the feeling It clashed with some reiksguard mods installed and some custom graphique mods for the empire.

If possible, could you tell me if they are also missing their heads if this is the only mod enabled? This information would help me a lot in isolating the issue :)

hey Deathstroke, i'm sorry to hear that. Someone else had the same problem but so far i could not find a cause for it.

It does not seem to be a common issue and i never experienced missing heads on them regardless if i tested them as sole mod enabled or together with some other mods i'm using. I did obviously make a new id for their helmet model so there should not be any conflicts with other mods anyway. That's why i'm still at a loss how their head could be missing :(
I wish i could at least replicate the issue because then i could fix it.

I will update it of course as soon as i find out what could be causing this.

Hey Blade, yes i will. I can't say a fixed release date yet it but this time it will be for all my current unit mods and will also be updated with all future units. Like the reiksguard collection my goal is for it to be compatible to the individual units so you can just switch between standalone units and the collection without any impacts on existing savegames.

Personally i value choice so i will also continue to release new units as standalone mods for those who only want to use some of them.

I did try some further things but wasn't able to reproduce the issue so far. I'm afraid from my end I can only guess what's causing this for you :( It might be caused by a conflict with another mod however i did create a separate head model for the custom textures so there should not be any conflicts there and i tried to make any IDs i use as unique as possible so nothing will be overwritten by other mods. The fastest way to find out if another mod causes this issue would be to only load this mod and then look into custom battle to see if the head reappears.

well bruh i m using many units mods idk if u can see which one i subscribed but if u want i can wrte u them all here and i m using ultra settings about graphics

Hey RedCross, that's weird. Obviously, it sounds like the game can't properly use the variantmodel for the head. I did try to avoid conflict potential with other mods by using as much as i can by using unique ids where possible and using own copies of models instead of replacing things but can you tell me which mods you are using besides the unit? (if any) So i can test if there are any potential conflicts.

The only other reason i can think of right now would be that it is caused by some combination of graphics settings in combination with the new textures. Can you tell me which settings you are using? During tests they worked on multiple settings but i couldn't test all combinations^^

I will then look into it this evening.
