The best mod for American Truck Simulator. A wide variety of tuning options. But I don't have enough sleeping bag. Since in reality they exist for this tractor model (as an example in the movie convoy).

ferrarienzor, learn to read comments and you'll see that someone said where to get the sleeper for it.

love this mod VERY much, it quickly became my favorite truck in ATS, having a little trouble with getting the standard mack wheels to work though. I want to use the chrome ones but they are just blank space when I select them

I love this model, I recommend it, if you want to use it in optimal conditions, install the mirrors mod, and the Engines and transmissions mod.

That escalated quickly.. Anyways...

By the grace of a cyber god, this mod is NOT locked!! It could be easily, but it isn't. So, if there is a texture you want to change, or add. A skin, paint scheme, etc.. You can do that..

If you have a specific engine and transmission combo in mind you would like to have available in-game for this mod, YOU can do that also.. Go talk you your uncle Google, or your aunt Bing, and ask them how to add a definition for a truck in ATS 1.53 to an engine/transmission file. You literally just have to open the mod that has the engine and tranny and put the Mack mod name into the list of supported mods.

You may have to play with the gearing a little if you want to dial it in exactly, but the entire process requires 7ZIP and Notepad ++ which are both FREE ! So put whatever engine you want in it and sod off mate!

Every time the game updates people flock to Harvens trucks and just spam "uPdAtE nOw mE wAnT tRuCk" literally hours after the update, its so pathetic how people act. All you need to do is just look at the changelog and see that he updates his mods within a couple days. I swear patience is non-existent in the modding community.

Lightning, 1.53 just came out today a HOLIDAY. don't expect modders to do something on a holiday. BE PATIENT like everyone else or you figure out how to update it yourself

@superac16 I found these instructions in a past post. If they make sense to you follow instructions except add 1.53 as the last entry.
It's easy to make this work for 1.50. Navigate to the "steamapps/workshop/content/270880" folder. In there are all the mods installed by steam. Notice in the address bar of your browser the id number for this mod. It is 1463066263. Find that folder and open it. Inside this folder, you will find the "versions.sii" file. Double click it and it should open up in Notepad. Find the line that contains 'compatible_versions[]: "1.49.*"'. Copy this line and paste it below this line. Then in the newly pasted line, change the 1.49 to 1.50. Save the file and you are good to go.

@Superac16 - Let me clarify something.
If you think/thought that the post I made was directed at you specifically then I can see where this whole thing might have gone sideways.

That wasn't directed at anyone in particular, it was a blanket statement. Because as you will no doubt soon discover, before this truck is officially updated there are going to be several posts likely made talking about how "the game is broken now and why isn't it updated yet", or just the most common "This mod needs to be updated, how long?". If you look through most of the popular trucks,trailers,parts mods that are currently showing incompatible. It will be the same thing in those boards.

But, if you felt like what I posted was directed towards you specifically, then I will gladly offer a public apology to you, cause it was a general post that many of us have made over the past few years. It was not targeted at all, and I am sorry if you felt it was singling you out.

@Old Timer Thank you for your time, reply, and understanding. As Im sure you read in my previous post(which I deleted) had no crying at all which I was accused of. Like I had stated Im new to the game and PC gaming. I DID google and couldnt find an answer to my question. Figured someone on here could help....BOY WAS I WRONG!! Just so everything is clear, I really appreciate the Mack from Harven and wasnt looking for him to update like right now. All I was wanting to know is if there is a way I can go back to 1.52 or something else I could do so I could atleast play the game. Even if its just long enough to load the game where I can get another truck temporary until Harven gets a chance to update. Thats basically it....NO CRYING!

As for this unpleasantness, I have seen first hand and pulled mods I made from the steam workshop for other games because of the overwhelming sense of entitlement when an update breaks a mod. It gets to wear on ya a little when its the same thing over and over. We're all lucky that people like Harven and the others still do this for free after all these years. I think a lot of us just get defensive because we don't want to see the mod makers hit that point where they stop doing it. A quick search would resolve a lot of peoples problems, but you make a good point that we all had to start somewhere.

@Swat3Sniper I get tired of all the messages every time the game updates also but I was once unaware of the process. At least the guy had a legitimate question instead of demanding an update like the children do. If you are an American-Happy Thanksgiving. If not, have a good evening.

@superac16 The authors have several trucks to modify so it usually takes several days to get them all updated. I put my mod trucks in a profile by themselves and game trucks in a second profile. When the game updates I play the game truck profile until the authors of the mod trucks and other mods catch up.
Most of the mods can be updated by you if you research how to do it. Once you figure out the process it only takes a few seconds to update the version.

Version 1.53 JUST released this morning! You have a few options here! Take note that NONE of these options say cry on the discussion board cause you cant be bothered to READ!!
Jesus H Christ on a Motorbike, why is this so ####ing difficult and always the same thing every ####ing time??

Option 1 Go outside and touch grass!! Have a smoke and a Coke™ Then WAIT FOR THE UPDATE LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!!

Option 2 Locate and edit the mod package to include 1.53 as a version number that's compatible and play the game and hope it doesn't catch fire.

Option 3 Roll-back the game to 1.52 using the settings tool in the STEAM application library entry for the game.

If you need instructions for any of these options, Google is free and welcome to the last bastion of people who don't give a damn about your fragile little feelings, or your participation trophies. Fix it your damn self till the update is out, roll the game back so you can use it how it was, or WAIT!!

I hope there able to update it so it compatible with the new update its the only truck i enjoyed using in this game

Great mod, but, is there a way to reduce braking intensity and engine braking strength. Eng. braking on this truck is wayyyyyy too strong lol.

READ what I had posted before. BETA is not for you to use mods on. it's for the DEVs of the game to find out what bugs are in the new version. If you want to play on the BETA, DO IT WITH NO MODS.

Right away: This beta is NOT for people to get things first. It is for SCS to get bug reports and feedback to the new features. You also shouldn't use mods in an open beta (unless you know 100% what to do and can diagnose your issue yourself). since people have started hollering about updating to the Beta
