Will you update this to 1.27?
Mejiro McQueen Sep 17, 2018 @ 5:54pm
Think you'll update this mod?
potatogamer110 Aug 26, 2018 @ 11:06am
ive had randomer games without this mod. Here are a few examples.

2: Trier owning most of Germany.
3:No colonisation exceptf for Danish (Originally Norwegian) Vinland. and Irish and Scottish Carribean.
4: England deleting their whole army and getting annexed by Ireland and Scotland, then banished to Cape Verde for the rest of the game.
5: Bukhara took over most of Asia along with Bharat.
6: AI Rum Formed.
7: Sudan (Modded) got to Anatolia, same with India.
8: Carolina took over all of North America.
9: Panama being a Great Power.
10: AI Ottomans died to Byzantines and Mamluks.

Don't know, never really tried it. It should work as any other event mod though.
Conan Aug 5, 2018 @ 1:56am
does this work in multiplayer??
Kanye West Aug 4, 2018 @ 9:11am
Thank you kayne, very cool!

AlzaboHD Jul 29, 2018 @ 9:50am
Awesome work with this mod Solarwhale! I have made a timelapse featuring your mod here: https://youtu.be/fTVqf47woBA . Hopefully this gives people some idea of what crazy timelines await them (spoiler: AI formed Jewish Germany). Keep up the great work.
Tong Yabgu Khan Jul 28, 2018 @ 1:46am
shitty but nice
algoasi133 Jul 17, 2018 @ 10:48am
I can't see the names of the events or what they each do, so I don't know what I'm doing when I launch the mod. Is there something I can do about that?

BetterBite Jul 16, 2018 @ 9:22am
Also i cleared download cache which triggered a download for a 12KB file (please confirm) but as of right now it is not progressing at all even when something else is being downloaded at the same time there is no update progress
BetterBite Jul 16, 2018 @ 9:15am
What the hell is the steam workshop downloader?
Solarwhale  [author] Jul 16, 2018 @ 5:42am
It might be a bug where subscribed more appear in the mod list a few days later than they should. You can always use steam workshop downloader.
BetterBite Jul 15, 2018 @ 2:19pm
checked the userdata folder and i cannot find it
Owen Jul 15, 2018 @ 6:49am
One other question, how do I see what the buffs are? Or the Debuffs? Thanks in advance!
Owen Jul 15, 2018 @ 6:48am
I fixed it. But the issue was that the event would not fire. I just relaunched the game until it worked. This is a really fun mod!
Solarwhale  [author] Jul 15, 2018 @ 1:18am
What do you mean by "nothing happens"?
Owen Jul 14, 2018 @ 10:15pm
what should i do if nothing happens?
CardaleJoneslovr20 Jul 14, 2018 @ 11:22am

Ah, thanks for the feedback.
Solarwhale  [author] Jul 14, 2018 @ 12:39am
The additional or lowered monarch points won't work from day one, you'll need to wait untill your current monarch (and heir, if you have one) pass away.
m_gray77 Jul 13, 2018 @ 9:59pm
Thanks man this mod is hilarious! Been playing EU4 for around 3000+ hours now and this is great fun. Tbh Jewish and barely appeared and was wiped out, Christians weren't that prevalent either. It was just fun.
Necromancer Jul 13, 2018 @ 9:53pm
The additional or lowered monarch points doesn't work.
Matt Jul 13, 2018 @ 5:58pm
@Solarwhale(Actually just trying to explain the design choice you have to make to others reading this) As for making the chances equal; I'm not sure it is feasible to have it be balanced as the option to keep existing religion throws a massive wrench in the balance. Additionally large countries like ming make it so whatever religion they pick will be a massively powerful religion. It may be worth removing the keep religion button entirely if you want it to be more equal. As for how to balance it, that isn't all that easy to do mainly because there are just so many types of christianity and islam. Do people want shinto and norse to appear at the same rate as Orthodox or as Christianity?
Matt Jul 13, 2018 @ 5:58pm
@Andrew No reason to release multiple versions of a mod when just as easily be included as an option or you guys can mod the values yourselves. Including it the mod would just make the menu more cluttered to be honest. If you want to make it an option just open twr_event_religion and edit event 21003 and edit the ai_chance ={factor= x} to custom values. The higher the chance relative to the other options, the more likely the ai will pick it.
or copy 21003 multiple times and increment id to 21035, 21036, etc. and edit the factors in each Now you can just add options to event 21005 to fire 21035, 21036, etc. instead of the default 21003.

Only 20 votes left before we hit 100, and by then the mod's rating should reflect the actual upvote/downvote count- be sure to leave yours, no matter if it's an upvote or a downvote!
Habasuttesutte Jul 13, 2018 @ 11:37am
Better the workshop is filled with good mods instead of the garbage that gets released every minute tbh
ILOVEABUSINGCLASSASTIMULANTS Jul 13, 2018 @ 10:14am
l-let me off
Solarwhale  [author] Jul 13, 2018 @ 9:39am
I don't really think flooding the workshop with so many versions of one mod is a good idea, however if anyone could come up with an idea to balance the religion randomizer so that the chances to get a certain religion are as even as possible, I'd be glad to implement it.
Habasuttesutte Jul 13, 2018 @ 8:47am
Make a poll, and then make 3,4,5 different mods with different "%" that way the ungrateful steam users get their free mod of their choosing and you will get more popular, getting better rated and maybe even followed by some, who like what you are doing including me fx.
Solarwhale  [author] Jul 13, 2018 @ 8:24am
Because everyone seems to have their own preferences in terms of that randomizer. When all religious group had an equal chance of popping up (12.5%) people complained about Jewish and Zoroastrian religions being too prevalent. Now that I changed that, there also seems to be a problem because apparently Christian religions started being too prevalent (which I don't understand, they've only experienced a 2.5 percent boost in AI chance). When I referred to changing up the digits yourself, I meant changing them to your preference. It's impossible for every single type of a religion to have an equal chance of popping up due to how the event's constructed and the fact that there are 27 religions in total and the maths doesn't add up here. I may have gotten a bit aggressive, and I apologise, but I can't constantly modify the event based on what religions a certain person would like to see more of in their games.
Habasuttesutte Jul 13, 2018 @ 6:49am
He's giving feedback on your mod, but you go into defence mode as soon as you hear a little constructive criticism. If it only takes changing "one or three" digits, then what's the big deal?
Solarwhale  [author] Jul 13, 2018 @ 6:12am
There's less Jewish and Zoroastrian states now. If you're so keen on complaining about it, maybe fix it yourself? Really all it takes is changing up one or three digits in the event file.
yolo Jul 13, 2018 @ 5:53am
idk what u fixed about religion randomizer
now there ~120 catholic states
and 0-3 orthodox that are defaultly orthodox
Solarwhale  [author] Jul 13, 2018 @ 12:44am
I just fixed some localisation problems, which might have been causing a few bugs.
@RubyBestWaifu- your bug may have been caused by that also, I'm not 100% certain though.
Solarwhale  [author] Jul 13, 2018 @ 12:29am
@RubyBestWaifu- that's strange, that problem only appeared for me when I haven't yet finished constructing the event, and shouldn't happen anymore. Maybe try disabling all other mods and trying again, and check if that solves it.
Solarwhale  [author] Jul 13, 2018 @ 12:24am
And yes, the mod will not work properly with mods which remove vanilla religions, such as Voltaire's Nightmare. It should work with anything that doesn't though.
Pzk. Ruby Jul 13, 2018 @ 12:23am
I mean whenever i choose to look at colonial, monarch points, or tech cost randomization, regardless of what i click, i seem to get an endless spam as if id clicked colonial randomization a thousand times.
Solarwhale  [author] Jul 13, 2018 @ 12:18am
Could you further describe the problem? Because if you just get the event window for choosing one of the three modifiers over and over again, that's perfectly normal. You can close that window
only by picking the last option.
Pzk. Ruby Jul 12, 2018 @ 9:10pm
Whenever i click any of the colonial/mp/tech cost randomizers i get an endless spam for the colonial modifier. I feel like thats not normal
lascupa0788 Jul 12, 2018 @ 5:34pm
I tested it, and there is actually one issue sometimes. Mods that remove or add religions seem to cause 'No Religion' countries to pop up. Voltaire's Nightmare is an example. I suppose that's probably impossible to fix though, aha, not without making different versions for different mods.
Solarwhale  [author] Jul 12, 2018 @ 4:07pm
It should be compatible with any mod, unless it's event IDs are the same as this one's (that's very unlikely though)
lascupa0788 Jul 12, 2018 @ 3:22pm
What's the compatibility like with big mods?
Solarwhale  [author] Jul 12, 2018 @ 12:23pm
Due to quite a few complaints, I've decided to release a balancing update for the Religion Randomizer. It's still not perfect, but it's an improvement nonetheless. Let me know what you think of it!
Solarwhale  [author] Jul 12, 2018 @ 12:13pm
Just as there should be. One of them is for EU4, and the mod might have been downloaded there.
