There is a difference between the words "fix", "improve", and "change". Modders should learn this to avoid sounding like a politician. It is not everyone's opinion anything was broken, thus nothing was fixed. To some, this mod is an improvement, most gamers will consider it just a change.

What's the point...? There is an armour cap which is easily exceeded even without this mod.
Even with better stats, You are only protected against 80% of all damage at most.

Thanks, the relative armour rating bothered me too. As far as weight goes, by this stage of the game most would have the perk so that armour weighs nothing, yes?, so weight is irrelevant. Can you throw in a colour change option too? I'd like dragon armour in Blood red or black. Armour of any type can be painted. dyed, anodized, plated, so why not.

Dragons are more fearsome then Daedric end of story. You all need to play monster hunter before you complain :)

@JoeJoeTheTireMan no as far as i know there are no bugs
Tin Man Jun 14, 2012 @ 3:35pm
My Q is if there is any bugs?? I downloaded anyways to try it.
Tin Man Jun 14, 2012 @ 3:32pm
If you dont like the mod, then dont download it! No one cares about your petty arument about armor mod! Get over it or shut the hell up!
DiddyBootyJackson Jun 14, 2012 @ 5:23am
@madnessg0ld if youre intelligent enough to notice (which youre not) what makes the Dragon armor better is that the weight is considerably less than the daedric. It's also been confirmed that in the dawnguard expansion, the dragonbone weapons will proc faster attack speed but ofc less damage than the daedric which also makes the dragon counterparts better. Useless mod is useless :]
Wildtaz32 Jun 3, 2012 @ 10:50am
actually there is a light and heavy version for Dragon armor
weaf May 12, 2012 @ 8:11pm
Dragon Smithing is for Light armor. Heavy armor players should stop at daedric. Simple "Fix" of your own to enact in your games
Space May 11, 2012 @ 10:53am
That's why I believe the author is throwing everyone off with the title of his mod. The word "fix" indicates that he's fixing an issue with the lore, when really he's doing the exact opposite. "Dragon Armour Rating Adjustment," would carry more sense.
Crow May 11, 2012 @ 10:07am
Dragon armor is supposed to be weaker since its easy to obtain its actually easier to get full dragon armor set then an full dwarven but ofc dragon is stronger then dwarven
Aratrok Apr 30, 2012 @ 3:21pm
Do people not realize that once you get to like 560 armor rating, that the game stops keeping track? And that both Dragonbone and Daedric acheive said result? Or am I the only one with a brain the read the wiki.....
thedotwalks Apr 26, 2012 @ 7:10pm
Shut up. Both of you
Space Apr 24, 2012 @ 9:05am
Good job. Carry on Soldier *salutes.*
jonhuff35 Apr 23, 2012 @ 5:56am
Here's my last "come back" and then I'm done wasting my time with you... your the reason why all women should swallow.
Space Apr 22, 2012 @ 9:01pm
High five! The same could be said about your run on of sentences. Man that third grade education must be worth more then any attempt of educational explination you're able to come up with! It's funny really how you wish to continue to carry on, wasting your time, probably just the same way you wasted your time in the military. That's one thing I've come to notice about you "soldier's." You have to JUSTIFY everything thrown against you in order to negate your losses. But there's no need to elaborate, because I'm destine to see another witty comeback just to make yourself feel better. So come on cowboy, keep one shootin'. You might hit that target you were seeking -- I may just cry (ooh boohoo ;_; ).. lol. I thought the military taught you how to not be children?..

PS: I just got back from an amazing time on the town with all my friends. I even bought a new bed top!
jonhuff35 Apr 22, 2012 @ 4:07pm
Woohoo! You made a play on words good job your 3rd grade education is really shinning tonight.
Space Apr 22, 2012 @ 2:05pm
Lol, rage. Enjoy defeet*, sir. (See what I did there?)
jonhuff35 Apr 22, 2012 @ 12:05pm
go back to your momma's basement before i put my foot up your ass.
Space Apr 22, 2012 @ 4:48am
The same thing could be said about you, trash talking my opinion's. You brought it upon yourself to interupt the arguement that had nothing to do with this mod, but armor based on a prior ES game. I was setting a record straight, and you like most other idiots stuck your brown nose right in this conversation, despite understanding the arguement. If the author wants to put up mods that makes people happy, that's fine. I downrated it, that's my choice. Simply downrating something could be considered an insult to most players anyway. As the Aurthor stated "which to me makes no sense as seen as the perk comes after daedric smithing..." Thus I told him why. Daedric is the strongest set based armor (Non-artifact) in the Elder Scrolls Lore. Now please, do me a favor and get off my nuts, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
jonhuff35 Apr 21, 2012 @ 11:28pm
I wasn't referring to you Mayo about the PSTD someone else made a comment about me being mentaly challanged and their comment must have been erased either by themselves or the auther. It's just ridiculous that there are good mods out there that get a bad rating just because it goes against Elder Scrolls lore if you want only lore approved mods fine good for you but don't trash someone else's mod.
Space Apr 21, 2012 @ 4:53am
@Jon

Lol, that's pathetic. I probably have more traveling knowledge then you ever will. I just also read a lot (which really isn't such a bad thing, now, is it?) -- But I guess you have a right to judge someone despite actually knowing them. I guess you also mistake an actual argument from a trolls argument. Also, I own my own home, and love my job. It certainly doesn't give me PTSD. How unfortunate for those who do have it, though.
jonhuff35 Apr 20, 2012 @ 7:42pm
I wouldn't call it being mentally challenged but i do suffer from P.T.S.D. from serving in Iraq. Next question please.
jonhuff35 Apr 4, 2012 @ 3:34pm
Hey Mayo, IT'S A GAME! There's this magic device at the top of your parents basement steps called a "door" and on this door is a door knob (not to be confessed with newb) put one hand on the door knob and turn it clockwise now walk through the door and let me introduce you to Reality, Mayo this is Reality and Reality this is Mayo. Now that you two have met you should get a life it's pretty cool.

@Davidhalmbrenner

Actually you're wrong. The Dragobone Cuirass in Morrowind was an Artifact. There was only 1 of this armor as opposed to a base armor set in Skyrim. At the time that was the only peice based off of a dragon. That armor from Morrowind is not the same as the armor you see here. Not by a long shot. Nice try though. I know my lore. If you actually remember the daedric armor peice, it armor rating was the highest of the base armors in Morrowind (90), which I say again is a BASE armor. Non-artifact. k.
Viri Mar 8, 2012 @ 2:11pm
The armor cap in this game is 567, which is pretty low. Switching the armor rating for Dragonplate and Daedric is pointless because you can easily surpass the armor cap with both. You can hit 567 with Steel Plate without a shield.
jonhuff35 Mar 6, 2012 @ 10:07pm
Wow all this controversy over an OPTIONAL mod! I happen to think in this case lore is wrong and that in the Morrowind and Oblivion and now Skyrim had daedric armor (so it's everywhere) i''m suprised after the oblivion crisis that not everyone is running around in daedric armor at least the rich but how many games had Dragonbone Armor?
Deathlock47 Mar 4, 2012 @ 10:48am
Wrong Moya, Dragonbone Cuirass in Morrowind had the best armor rating right along side the Ebony Mail. i would just change the weight of the dragon armor to lighter then daedric but have the same armor rating as daedric. cool mod but i'll just tweek it myself with the creation kit.
delete Mar 4, 2012 @ 6:35am
Dragon smithing is where it is as a perk because the category has both light and heavy armor(dragonbone and dragonscale), thus combining both sides of the perk tree.
VaeCore  [author] Mar 3, 2012 @ 5:03am
@Exceeding_Arrow I don't really care what people think if they want to download it then they can download it
Avion_Prime Mar 2, 2012 @ 1:14pm
@Moya screw the lore, top tier stuff is suppose to be top tier stuff!
PatMoxx Mar 1, 2012 @ 3:39pm
I already crafted it to full legendary status now, will that make it a couple points even stronger now?
OwlNick Mar 1, 2012 @ 6:39am
Daedric hart not so hard to find, if you know how, even in base game borders)
Irongamer Mar 1, 2012 @ 1:15am
i know why daedric is better, a daedric hart is hard to find, and dragn bones and scales are much more easy to get and it is also there for light armor
Curious Traveler Feb 29, 2012 @ 5:59pm
cool mod iv been looking for a mod like this
