can I use this as gateway?

Yes, subbuilding name is an original problem. It is basic issue when you use subbuildings like this. The game cannot understand that your building is a single/hole building. It thinks it is two.

The other problem "origin from the same root". Game thinks it is two building (and from some aspects it is true), so when you place it you activate the hole building. This mean the other half (without road connect) is generate garbage too.

Found another issue with it. Some trucks going to the cargo station (and apparently also originating from it) are having an owner like "building-title 123456789 deleted_data 0"

Works fine, although it's quite a challenge to have all railroads connected without causing train jams. One small bug though, as long as the upper part of the cargo bay is not active (due to missing rail roads), it keeps reporting a garbage problem; no garbage trucks are going there, even when roads are there.

It may be that your problem is that (like the original Double Track Cargo Station), the two sides of this asset can *accept* cargo only on the set of tracks closest to their roads, while both sets of tracks (for each side) can spawn trains.

Trains were constantly backing up at my farming industry and factory zone terminals so I plopped this one half-way between the two. Problem solved. Thanks!

miksa223 it works for me

Hi!
Good question. Maybe it's time to play again this game and check it. I can't say it's a promise, but i will try.

Does this asset still work? I set it up, and cargo trucks enter with the goal of exporting. They drop off their load, but no trains spawn. I also linked the two center lines with other connections but trains refuse to travel on them. Is there something wrong with the tracks?

excellent! :)))
super! :)))
number one! :)))

thank you. :)))

Roads are not basic parts. You can use íny kind of road.

One addition: Could you maybe change the path of the road vehicles a bit or include roads? My main Problem is that cars/trucks can't exit the station quick enough. Kind Regards

The AI for the cims pulls them into the nearest cargo dock.
Suggestion:
- Have one side for exporting goods (terminate road at end of cargo bay for faster vehicle despawn), then one side to import good to your city (start road at one end of cargo bay) do not have both sides connected to the same or near by roads.
- Use both sides for exporting or transporting goods, have 2 non-connected industry areas, run one way train tracks away from cargo terminal.

I a city where 2 of my zoned industries are paired up with one terminal, then single direction rail away from them to a vanilla industry area and an area for my unique factories. None of my industry areas have highway connection, all are connected to the population centers by fairy/rail/metro/monorail, then bus routes local to the industry area( set up with 2-3 buses each route).

only one side off cargo station works. cannot get trucks to enter side where you have to place the road. Any ideas have to resolve?
Marcello  [author] Mar 27, 2019 @ 1:15pm
Interesting.
If i understand correctly, you have a two separated railway networks. I think traffik AI doesn't understand way of packing things. Maybe there are some cargo which "want to go outside" but you already separeted your system and maybe this situation cause some malfunction. Sadly, I cannot test my theory in practice beacuse my PC became too "low end" more half year now and cannot run the game anymore.

Hi. Thanks for the mod. I have tried it, but I got some problems. I have 2 rail networks, an internal loop and an external line. I connected the inner platforms (the furthest platforms from the road) to external lines to both stations with one-way track, one for each direction. I used the outer platforms to connect to the internal loop, with similar setup. Problem is, the trucks are entering the stations like crazy but no train spawning. I used the station to connect specialized industrial areas to generic inds and since the materials can't flow the generic inds are starving to death. If you could shed a light I would be very thankful. Please kindly help. Thanks again

It's working now! Thanks for the idea. I set one way train rails and somehow that made things better. They are both working!

Maybe (possible?) you can solve your problem if you convert your railway system one-way to booth cargo bay. As a experienced , system likely use original cb for unload, even if its still working instead using the other side (subbuilding).

I only have one problem and I'm not sure if it's because of my design, or not. On the side that snaps to the road, I have NO cargo train traffic flowing, but the other side, they are flowing and generating so heavily that I have to clear traffic with the TMPE mod just to reset it. I should have posted a pic of it to show you what I am talking aboug. Other than that, yes, this is a very useful station, and I'm so glad I found it!

I have to say I never had problem with this cargo station it's awesome and for me it work just fine, I even had to add bigger roads to and from station to cope with the trafic it generate.
I have that other dual track to in other location and it work great to but not as busy as this is but fair that could be related to it's location is further away from the main incoming highway.

:D

I think game mechanics doesn't planned for this. ISadly maximum building size is 16x8 squaire (a cargo train is 15 sq long) so i dont see possible to make a building like this without using subbuilding.
fujian1229 Sep 25, 2018 @ 6:32am
I mean if cargo can be exchanged between different lines of the station when needed.

fujian1229

Please explain what do you think when you say "can this station exchange cargoes inside".

Interesting. Nobody mentioned this problem before and i never saw anything like this. This building a redesign of that building (see link up) and that building never made this kind of bug. Do you use a mod or asset which is has effects about railway system (rail asset maybe)?
fujian1229 Sep 25, 2018 @ 6:12am
can this station exchange cargoes inside ? Thx
never_forget Sep 24, 2018 @ 1:52pm
Amir..... the Station Needs a Fix...!!!... train arrives then disappears no movement :steamsad:in Station??? :steamsad:

This is awesome :D

really nice now my carcgo station looks like depot thanks
WollM Aug 19, 2018 @ 12:41pm
Using this as my outside connection for 7 other stations. congestion on the railroads is largely solved. Thanks!

I ask forginess from anyone who used my previous water treament mod (i tried update it in workshop but instead i deleted it) and i give it's new version link https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1411793805 .

I also started a new project. It will be a water treatment for metropolis cities
