I like what you've done in making Aegis a less-potent Force Field but also requiring less micromanagement. For those of us already optimizing for Aegis it may be a bit overpowered, but this idea is a good one and gives Aegis some real utility for any build. Here's a build [forums.runicgames.com] that uses Aegis of Fate to great effect. I've been using this with Shield Bash, which sort of requires you to optimize physical armor anyway, and it's made for a very potent character even on vanilla.

Awesome idea!
Those who think this mod will overpower Aegis of Fate, well, it won't. Aegis of Fate and armor scales badly in the game, so the absorption of Aegis of Fate is no difference even if it resets every 4 seconds.
Even if you wear outrageously good gear, Aegis of Fate's possible ~6k absorption is underwhelming when you compare it to Force Field's uncharged 17k or charged 60k absorption and Force Field needs no gear to reach those numbers.

In vanilla, Aegis of Fate procs only from taking actual damage, but if you take damage on elite it's very likely to kill you outright. Your chance to proc Aegis of Fate? Zero.

Kardfogu approved! period.

Every 4 seconds could be a bit generous. I guess it depends on what the damage amount actually accomplishes in practice.

Interesting. Gonna test this a while with my dual wield Engi ...so far the Aegis seems to regenerate instantly at Rank 15 though. 1 second delay at most.

I've been waiting for this to pop up, excellent job!

If you test it, please let me know, rebalance is possible. :)

I for myself played quite a bit with it on one of my Engineers and would say that Forcefield is stronger in every way. On the other side, this can really help with builds that need the charge for other stuff or that have a poor charge gain (Cannon) and even open up new options in certain builds.

Bottom line: Feedback is appreciated. :)
