Conclusion: Four way patch isn't really needed, and GE + IV won't be simple.

Apart from that problem, you don't really need to make a four-way patch. The patches I've made are usable together, because any incompatibility between any two mods from that list is unique to that combination of mods, as it were. GE is built to be naturally compatible with ME, so as long as any GE patch is overwriting ME patches, by setting them as dependency in the .mod file, all should be well.

Well, you're gonna run into the same trouble as me if you want to get Governments Expanded and Idea Variation (non-lite that is) compatible. EU4 has a hard limit on the amount of reforms it can show on one reform tier, and if you go over that limit the game crashes to desktop. After a lot of puzzling and headaches I decided that compatibility could not be achieved in a good way between these two mods, so I unlisted my wip compatibility patch between IV and GE from the workshop. Now I only have IV-lite + GE. So if you want to make GE and IV compatible, good luck.

Heyo! I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions about the patching? I'm trying to bash together a four-way patch between Toponymic, Idea Variation, Missions Expanded, and Government Expanded, and would love to see what your opinion would be.

Ah, but what a bleak world this would be without a little madness!
