"Elemental Boon: 5 minutes at all levels, 6 minutes cooldown."

It will end in the heat of a battle and I will instant lose DPS.
I assume, i will just get perma buffs mod.

@Spore (author): Interesting mod!

Can we have permission to use parts of these modified Vanilla skill stats in "Skills Expansion" while crediting you for these changes?

Re: Elemental Boon / Dervish (and similar)
They are intended to be short, burst fight spells. Now I don't have a problem with violating this by extending the duration, but it doesn't seem to follow to maintain the cooldown on it, especially when the ratio of downtime is so greatly diminished. Basically, it would just make more sense to normalize all the cooldowns and just have all the durations up.

Anyway, I'll have to keep looking for the mod I want since this one doesn't have the Synergies buffs in it, but it looks pretty good so far. PM me if you ever update it to include Synergies. =)

Is it possible to reduce the cooldown time on the Shadow Wolf per-tier, in addition to what you have done? Since it lasts as long as the cooldown time now, the extended duration per-tier isn't much of an upgrade, whereas a cooldown reduction would help for when the wolf is killed in combat before its timer comes back. However, if that's not your intent, I understand.

Also, please add the Gun Bot and the Sledge Bot to this mod, as I have been avoiding using them due to their short duration. This mod makes playing a summoner not feel like a chore, I love it.

Pengu Aug 7, 2015 @ 2:40pm
ah
StepCore  [author] Aug 7, 2015 @ 2:20pm
Well, some of the abilities cooldowns are also changed to add a little bit of balance. For example Dervish maintains a cooldown that is longer than it's duration.
Pengu Aug 7, 2015 @ 12:39pm
oh so it only makes the buff durations longer not the cooldown of spells and abilities. Okay that makes more sense now.
StepCore  [author] Aug 5, 2015 @ 6:00am
It doesn't change durations of skills not in the base game.
Teyrar Aug 3, 2015 @ 11:30pm
Does this work on ninja poison weapons skill?
Blight Mar 1, 2015 @ 2:23pm
Sweet thanks.
StepCore  [author] Mar 1, 2015 @ 9:42am
@Eyes: Done, remember to load it at the top as some mods will override the durations
Blight Feb 27, 2015 @ 5:14pm
Can you update this for the current version?
StepCore  [author] Aug 21, 2014 @ 7:20am
@Code V, there might be some class specifc alteration mods that are more helpful than this one if you need specific durations. I personally feel that 2 minutes is generally not enough.
The durations for the skills are also not listed in a well sorted way in the editor, which is another reason I'm reluctant to edit it now.
Majora Aug 20, 2014 @ 6:57pm
Can you make a lite version of this mod. Like a 2min instead of 5 min. Feels 5 minutes is too op for a force field.
moctose Feb 25, 2014 @ 4:07pm
alright ill try that
StepCore  [author] Feb 25, 2014 @ 4:54am
I think you need to load it after synergies.
Like, load this mod with a higher priority, I forgot how it works exactly.
Chibba Feb 23, 2014 @ 3:25am
@Humanity It works as described for me, even with Synergies
moctose Feb 22, 2014 @ 8:30am
Ice Shield is still 10 seconds, with Synergies.
Blue Jan 20, 2014 @ 10:44pm
It is compatible, I just doubted it changed the Synergies race buffs. If it does then don't worry :p
StepCore  [author] Jan 20, 2014 @ 12:21pm
Isn't this compatible with Synergies?
As long as the other mod doesn't change the same things, it should work fine.
This one only changes values and descriptions for skills.
Blue Jan 20, 2014 @ 4:11am
That's a shame. It would be cool if there was a 2 minute Synergies/FEP compatible version.
StepCore  [author] Jan 19, 2014 @ 4:00pm
@Cyber-Ninja, It would be a bit too much effort to create a version for every imaginable preference in duration. There is also the balance concern. I've tried my best to keep the downsides somewhat in place for powerful abilities. The purpose is just to make the skills less stressful, especially when not all of them make it clear when they expire.
It's already unbalanced (IMO) with just the 5 minutes for some of the buffs. Notably skills like shadowmantle and dervish.
It's hard to keep those skills balanced for longer durations when their downside is their short duration.
Sorry.

@Bullet, Mage fire shield? Isn't that immolation aura? That one is included.

@Lathirex Unfortunately no. not that i know of. I have a 5 minute and a 5 hour version.
You can probably find some mods with class specific tweaks though that might better suit your needs.
Blue Jan 15, 2014 @ 8:21am
Is there a 2 minute version of this? 5 Minutes of straight berserking is a bit much.
Rockin132 Jan 15, 2014 @ 8:09am
@Chumpp No it won't, mod away.
Chumpp Jan 13, 2014 @ 5:42pm
Hi all,

Apologies for silly question (new to mods), but will this mod flag my character as a cheater? Do all mods do that now or does the steam workshop integration remove that problem?
Widar1988 Nov 23, 2013 @ 7:09am
what about fire shield of mage ?
BigHawngry Nov 19, 2013 @ 4:08pm
Hi, I used this amazing MOD you've created in one of my MOD packs
Loved it so much I just had to bundle it!

Cyber-Ninja Nov 18, 2013 @ 1:37am
Hi, May I ask if it is possible to make a 10 or 15 min version?
5 min still feels a bit to short and the 5 hours version is a bit of an overkill.
Still loves the mod though.
StepCore  [author] Sep 25, 2013 @ 5:50pm
@Tim - You're probably going to have to request that from the author. I can't really edit his mod.
@Spankalot - I'll upload this when I get the chance. I'm not currently using the computer I made it on.
Granddude Sep 24, 2013 @ 10:55am
Hey, any chance you could make one for the Far East Preview mod?

Any external host for this? got non-steam TL2 so I can't download this through here
StepCore  [author] Sep 4, 2013 @ 4:46am
This mod only changes the durations of the buffs (In some cases the description too). As long as 2 mods don't change the same thing, there shouldn't be any problems. Are you sure it's not a synergies+landmarks incompatibility?
Have you tried doing what Last Laugh suggested?
Anime is sin. Repent. Sep 3, 2013 @ 6:16am
Sky, tell your game to restart with these mods, it's an option on the server browser when viewing your friends game.
☣Sky☢ Aug 23, 2013 @ 9:11am
but i can join with synergies + this one only
☣Sky☢ Aug 23, 2013 @ 9:10am
This mod is incompatible with "Blanks Landmarks"

Problem: I have synergies mod + this + Blanks Landmarks > cant join my friends game (with same 3 mods)
StepCore  [author] Aug 15, 2013 @ 7:10am
The problem I see with those OP buffs is that I personally would never use them if they were a "Ok, now I have a few seconds to just stand there and deal damage" kind of buff. So I kinda just went with a "not 100% uptime" kind of thing.
StepCore  [author] Aug 15, 2013 @ 7:07am
Well the reserve mana I wanted to make, but I'm not really good enough at this stuff. If someone else can do that, I would recommend that mod instead because the whole point of this mod was to make buffs less tedious.
What kind of change would you like to see to those buffs that don't include the mana reserve?
zParticle Aug 13, 2013 @ 1:39pm
Nico: Yeah, while most of these are just convenient and allow for the use of more diverse skills, a few are disproportionately overpowered (all four that you mention, actually). It's got the right idea, but needs some balance work, which leads me to...

Ragnaman: I totally agree, the "reserved mana" approach avoids the micromanagement while including a real penalty that forces you to make choices. It should definitely be possible to implement through GUTS; I'd love to see a similar mod that takes that approach instead.
Nico Aug 13, 2013 @ 10:37am
Would love to use it, but I think the change dervish is misguided. This may affect some of the others, too, but most of my experience relates to weapon dps based Engineer/Outlander. Having Dervish as a nigh-permanent buff is ridiculously powerful, and subverts the need for tactical acumen. No more "Ok, now I have a few seconds to just stand there and deal damage, time to pop Dervish."
This problem may extend to Shadow Mantle, Elemental Boon and Elemental Overload. The change to Haste, Repulsion Hex, Immolation Aura and Stormclaw is lovely, though. I don't know or care enough about the other buffs to say anything about them.
Would it be fairly easy and straightforward for me to try and tone down your mod to my specifications if I don't have any previous experience?
Ragnaman Aug 12, 2013 @ 5:28pm
Titan Quest approach to buffs was ingenious. Instead of any kind of timers on buffs, each buff "reserves" a certain % or static value of your mana pool.

You want bazillion buffs stacked at once ? Sorry not gonna happen.
Oh you want this buff ? Sure here you go and forget about it...just dont spam your magics.

Perfect balance.
Is it possible to mod it this way for TL2 ?
AdmiralRandom Aug 6, 2013 @ 2:48pm
Does this mod affect the "X-mana recovery over 10 seconds" that ELEMENTAL BOON gives? Does that mana recovery get extentend now the buff lasts longer? Meaning a level 15 ele boon (which normally gives 123-mana over 10 seconds) now gives you 3690 mana over 5 minutes, effectively giving you 12.3 mana regen a second ?
taylorbrontario Aug 1, 2013 @ 2:17am
One mans tedium is another mans divertissement. Five minutes is a little too much foregiveness, but I'm glad somebody did this. Thank you!
That Wun Wabbit Jun 30, 2013 @ 8:18pm
i am definitely going to use this in Tarroch's Tomb
