Just in case someone is looking for even fewer monsters: check out my Mod: Synergies VANILLAPOP. It is a modded version of this mod and reduces the amount of monsters to vanilla level.

its a bit above the vanilla because it still adds elite/hero/rare/ancient and boss monsters that aren't in vanilla but it is a LOT closer to the original numbers.

Could the individual monsters be made tougher to compensate? I love the additional difficulty of your mod, but my processor cannot handle the additional load of so many mobs. I was dropping into 10-15 range during the last boss fight of the first act; it was unplayable.

huh.. hmmm the issue with lowering it much more will be balance. The mod is made to account for higher density of monsters. Your game play will be easier on all settings with even more less monsters, perhaps I can try to make you a personal mod version to help you out thou.

May I request a 'Very Low Pop" version? I *love* your mods; they have reinvigorated TL2 for me, but the demand on my CPU is enough to max the core and I get hitching. I believe the number of mobs on the screen is to blame. The Low Pop mod has helped, but it would be nice to bring the number lower for some wiggle room.

Res in place has an xp penalty. As it should. Respawn at the entrance of the level and you have none, or in town.

Will it also revert Death Penalties? It sucks that my Ember Mages now has a negative EXP Count and seriously, I thought TL II did good with getting rid of the EXP Penalty, it's outdated garbage.

Hi, I have a quick, dumb question, but I can't test it myself right now - I really dig the lowering of the population and the vanilla skill-leveling system. However, does that mean that we get back to 132 skill points or are we still sitting on 150, but we just unlock them at a vanilla rate? Meaning - is the fame system changed back too?

Salan can you tell me the correct load order of the mods I have? I want to have low population with higher loot rate and Synergies skill unlock rates. My current order is:

it keeps the same balance as the rest of synergies, but it lowers the amount back to a more vanilla level of monsters.

Does this mod just lower spawnrate? I'd like less mobs that hit harder or are a bit tankier though frankly the elite units and bosses are tanky to the point of tedium imo.

i've unsubscribed to several mods, then i restarted the launcher and now i see the LOWPOP mod; Strange; Maybe there is a limit to how many subscribed mods the launcher can show... (50?).

hi, i tried subscribing but the MOD doesn't show up in my mod list (left side of the launcher). I closed and re-opened steam, re-subscribed to the MOD but with no succes. Anyone had this problem? Maybe someone could upload the mod so i can manualy add it.

a few patches back i stopped mercenaries from spawning from world bosses in general play through, was overlooked originally.

Probably just bad luck. I used Nechromancer and grinded the kill for a while. Then he multiplied in two and my heart broke. lol I'm fairly new to the game, so I fixed things since my post and adjusted the mods and difficulty. Will try again when I'm higher level.

mm. that's not bad being 1 or 2 levels below, most of the time people use to out level the content and that is by far a worse issue. The Hero monster must have had a good affix on it!

Did XP get adjusted back to vanilla in this mod? If not, would a double XP fix solve the issue? Ran into a hero early game and literally did 0 damage to him. Killed everything on the previous maps and did any available quests, but I was still 2 levels below the entire map. Enemies went from 100-200 HP to 2500+. This was on Veteran.

ya roti you can go back and forth with this low pop and normal..

nurmi its drastically different.. they are completely different spawnclasses and dungeon populations

Dungeons seem to be a bit reduced but all other spawns seem to stay the same. :<
