Hi @hopwood thank you and I'm very happy you like the mod.

Don't want to get your hopes up tho about updates cos I have very little time nowadays for this hobby.

But if it's more skills you're after let me suggest you check out RnF's Jack Of All Trades class mod . The Jack Of All Trades class has no skills of its own, but this mod also converts all skills in the game into spells which the class can then use in its 4 spell slots (actually ANY class can then use those spells!).

I'm very into this idea of choosing directions of biulds.But right now the class is more of stats stacking(very easy to get block,damage reduction,etc),but less function skills,fun skills.I hope there will be more skills like shield breaking(the roar has too little rang),giving debuffs and so on.this is a great mod,I'mvery enjoying playing with it,Hoping it get better.

hey thanks so much @Dark Templar Sephiroth for trying out this mod!

I updated the description to point out that this is an older version of the Classless mod and there's a newer version inside Viz's Variant Classes mod. I encourage you to shift to that one instead, but it's been a while so I'm not 100% sure whether that version will address the issues you pointed out.

I've been wanting to make some updates to the Animancer - maybe I can do some for the Ranger as well if I get around to it :steammocking:

Definitely a lot more invested in character development with this mod. I've tried out the rogue, ranger, and animist early game. Some thoughts;

Starting with no skill points at all feels bad. There is no safe place to have a skill point set already, so include an item in the starter chest that awards one skill point (one use potion) so they can at least start on the discipline they wish to follow.

There isn’t much variety in Ranger skills. The staples aren't there. The immolation Ammo and Ricochet are welcome but we could use something like multishot or rain of arrows type skills for a physical damage AOE choice.

Really wish there was a way to track the number of summons you have active at a time. Skeletons seem a bit underpowered. Do they get better stats with skill investment or just discipline investment. More stat bonuses for minions like resist and armor should be rolled into Discipline levels.

Love the class otherwise.

About the CTD i have to ask the usual questions - what other mods are you playing (if any) and what load order are they in?
Its very much a case-to-case thing 'cos I have a steam friend who was MPing with this mod a lot and I actually asked him about MP issues and he said it plays just fine.

definetely my favorite class but you cant seem to play in multiplayer, as soon as my friend enters the same zone as me it CTD, any known fix?

hmmm it could also have been something to do with the particular weapon you swapped to.
But i will look into it, it does sound very strange...

Love the idea behind a Build-a-Class sort of philosophy the Citizen is rocking. Currently running one for my Vet HC run.

I seem to have run into a bug though, not sure if it's because of the mods I have present, but using weapon swap gives Citizen a huuuge burst of HP regen as if I had used a potion. It seems tied to the Defender Discipline, with the HP addition it gives, as unlearning it seems to resolve the issue. Because of this challenge-nullifying interaction, I'm forgoing my usual Tank builds in favour of a Fighter/Animancer build.

while the idea is admittedly extremely appealing i would suggest adding more skills to the animancer if you plan to make it a stand alone class

Planning for the break-out of disciplines, it was a toss-up between Animancer and Caster for me. Caster is more complete so would be easier I guess. I just kinda like the Animancer so much tho!

Invest more in the basic Animancer training skill. It'll increase their HP and damage when theyre spawned.

Also, Ripped Souls is a way to get a lot of minions real quick. Exploit tip: corpses of champions dont get destroyed, so u can keep ripping souls from them XD

yes ive noticed that the animancer is a very "slow starter" damage-wise. i'll tweak some more when my pc is back in shape ;)

also the health thing actually mauby isnt that big of an issue but the damage is lol takes my animancer forever to do what my spellcaster can do in one spell but you have a very strong summoner base the skeletal knights are pretty nice

yeah i feel like a powerful summoner should have powerful summons like in diablo 3 where your minions scaled off of you for instance start them off at like 50% of the players damage and like 30 -40% of the players armor/hp and as you rank the skill up it increases

i have played a lot of these class mods and i have to say this is one of my favourits i love keep up the work but i just wish that the summons in animancy scaled off the players stats like they do a percentage of your main weap damage and same with hp other then that i love this mod so much

and yep my mods are stable till we mess with this one even by its self witch it odd as it works fine till we have to reload or load it seems that is when the bugs start

mostly there are 3 class mods that we use and the rest is just misc mods like more exp gold and fame and things like that nothing that changes anything in the game really the only thing that we use that changes the game is a skill change witch only effects one skill witch this class doesn't have to start XD

Ok this is what i got from him...

That is multiplayer desync error that tl2 vanilla has in general, i found that it usually happens in the earlier areas of the map, to get around it, both dont enter a portal, but have one tp to the other.
So it loads the same area, in some cases it will try to load 2 seperate instances but you can see each other, sometimes cant, meaning invis mobs.

So teleporting loads their area but they need to make sure it is fully loaded, and not just in loading screen, say 20secs after they can move around.

I did find that synergys and Lao cause desyncs more frequently due to the amount of non vanilla stuff in them (lao having long loading times).

yes but we tested it with only this mod and it crashes when we join the same zones on dudes we already made if we both make a new dude it works fine till we reload then we are desynced from each other
