Hello I am currently attempting to rework the hair system in Kenshi, combining many workshop mods so that hundreds of hairstyles show up in-game, removing duplicated meshes, etc..

To complete the mod I need to include your hair textures and meshes in my mod, may I have your permission to do this? FCS does not allow me to simply use your mod as a dependency.

I know this has been asked several times before, forgive me, but is this mod still okay to integrate into your own? Will of course give your due credit and provide a link to this workshop page. Thank you for your awesome mods! :)

Hi! Hopefully someone can help me on this since this was one of the affected mods... I've not played kenshi in a while and all my hairs and beards are misplaced slightly to the left. So there are some styles that have a chunk of hair wether facial or on the head that is "inside the characters face".

Haven't installed any mods and this wasn't really an issue back when I played last.... so my guess is that a mod got updated and screwed everything over lol.

I'm leaving this here and in some other mods to see if someone had this problem or has any idea how do i get rid of it.

Hi Nightman. I haven't played Kenshi since 2019 and I'm not familiar with that mod but it should be easy to enable the beards in FCS. If you need help with FCS, I recommend joining Kenshi Discord or Kenshi modding Discord. I'm not part of it but I heard they're very helpful. Good luck!

How do i get the beards from your mod onto the juggernaut custom race? I cannot seem to find a patch that adds the beards, only the hair i think. since the juggernaut only has vanilla beards I seem to be incapable of making a good looking character

Are you planning on updating this any further? Because if you were I think it would be great to have a mustache with no soul patch and side burn option.

Nice, I looked up hairstyles mod looking for more variety in regular lore friendly haircuts, but most of the mods were just anime hairstyles. I love anime, but I wanted something that doesn't stick out and fits in with the game's look better.

greatmaxim64, did your characters get taken by Slavers? If you're taken and become slave, they'll shave your head. Once you're free, go and find a plastic surgeon in town and you can get your hair back. That's just part of the game, not because of this mod. :D

Hair disappears, first they are, then they beat me and carry the cage and there is no hair. What to do? tried to run even a naked game with your mod, anyway, the hair disappears, the head is bald...

Turns out it was Gen Mod that was causing these issues, guess ill have to deal with cliping hair till a fix.

Since this is extra and has nothing to do with this mod, I'll keep it short. Identify which helmet clips with hair. If it's vanilla, go to FCS and create a new mod. Open that specific helmet entry and change the "hide hair" to "True". Put the mod at the bottom of your mod load order when starting the game.

If any of these instructions are unclear, add me as friend and send me a message. Or you can go to Kenshi Discord and ask over there. I heard they're super helpful. :D

It has to do with how the helmet is set up in FCS.

Some helmet (vanilla or modded) will clip with hair due to the shape of the helmet and the shape of the hair. Most of the time vanilla helmet will just hide the hair (and beard) to avoid clipping. If you wear a helmet that doesn't have "hide hair" enabled or use mods that unleash the hair, it will lead to clipping.

There's nothing I can do about that.

In FCS, create a new mod. Enable this hair mod, your custom race mod, and your newly created mod. Make sure the new mod is marked as active. Go to "Races" and open your custom race entry and add "hairs".

When starting the game make sure the mod load order is in correct order. Your newly created mod should be placed below the other two mods. If any of these instructions are unclear, add me as friend and send me a chat. Or you can go to Kenshi Discord and ask over there. :D

That means a lot coming from you Arkhiel. Thank you. The textures are all vanilla. Most of the beard base texture in the second screenshot is modified from vanilla in Photoshop.

I'm still astonished that your mod isn't in vanilla, your beards are just awesome . Did you make custom textures for them or with vanilla ones?

Hey man great mod love the new hairstyles especially the beards! Hey I was wondering if you do personal requests... I suck with modeling... (And art in general =/) but would love a hair style close to Cloud Strife from final fantasy 7 (advent children) or like Squall Leonharts hair, grew up a FF fan and would be cool to recreate some of the chars! I use a mod that adds a buster sword to the game, and was able to use that ARK hair for Zack Fair's hair, and remade him pretty well, would love to be able to do a close resemblence to cloud or squall though too =D only if ur interested or have time =]
