Is this mod still being maintained? and if so any idea when an updated version will arrive? :)
Wolvyreen  [author] Mar 16, 2021 @ 5:19am
@Windrunner LOL! At least I now KNOW it's working! :-D
Amidinate Mar 16, 2021 @ 4:31am
Haven't played this game in ages and didn't notice this was installed, was so confused as to how my research was being totally smashed out hahaha
LykanBluePaws Mar 15, 2021 @ 11:27pm
Yeah it is working sorry i didnt test it properly.
Wolvyreen  [author] Mar 15, 2021 @ 10:27pm
@LykanBluePaws The mod is working 100%. I just tested it. Are you sure you're using THIS mod and not another person's mod that has stolen this mod and made it his own?
LykanBluePaws Mar 15, 2021 @ 2:30pm
Please update this.
Wolvyreen  [author] Feb 20, 2021 @ 11:33pm
@papatango269 glad you found a solution and you're welcome :-)
PapaTango Feb 20, 2021 @ 9:07pm
All right, thanks for the answer. Found an alternative, the NASA Education System mod, when I will be done with the scientists, I'll then train them in another field, or simply leave them without specialization...(friggin casino is always looking for those :steammocking: ).
Still, many thanks for this mod.
Wolvyreen  [author] Feb 20, 2021 @ 8:44pm
@papatango269 there is no way to switch it off other than in mod manager. The moment the game registers that all researchable items have been researched and you save the game, switching it off in Mod Manager will not revert the researched items back to the previous state. So once the items have been researched, that's it. Switching it off though should not break your save game though, you should still be able to play it will just be that all your research items have been unlocked.
PapaTango Feb 20, 2021 @ 1:18pm
Works as intended. This implies there is no more need for scientists, which is fine by me...but my sponsor sees it differently, 3 out of my 5 goals requires scientists (50 martian borns for the ultimate goal)

Is there an easy way to switch off the instant research?
I'll have them work on the copyrights...at least they will bring in cash, but at a regular speed.

If disabling the mod, the saved game still runs your code. Checked how to implement it with "Mod Config Reborn"...way too complicated for me.

Youre welcome :-)
SICKTWISTEDFREAK Feb 18, 2021 @ 8:35pm
This mod works like a charm! I had to click on the in game mod editor and then hit load. :cryptothink:Thank you so much @Wolvyreen
CTH2004 Feb 12, 2021 @ 7:10am
huh... works now
CTH2004 Feb 12, 2021 @ 6:52am
nope, useing steam mod.

maybe I need to uninstall and re-install SM, after un-subbing from this, to try to kind of "reset" it.

I don't use the Paradox one. Too much of a pain (:
Wolvyreen  [author] Feb 11, 2021 @ 9:46pm
@CTH2004 Not sure what to tell you. I will test it again but mine is working without complaints.

UPDATE: MAYBE what happened. You have not added the mod through the STEAM workshop but rather through the in game mod manager from Paradox. There is a user by the name of Regal8773 that has stolen my mod and placed it on the Paradox workshop and claimed it as his own. You have probably installed his.

I don't know but when I use even his copyright infrigement version of my mod, it doesnt complain about game version. So I am not sure why you're complains about game version.

As a side note, I have reported regal8773 for plagiarising my mod and once Paradox has removed his mod I will upload mine.
CTH2004 Feb 11, 2021 @ 9:01am
I have the latest version, both of this mod and SM
Wolvyreen  [author] Feb 10, 2021 @ 10:22pm
@CTH2004 Nope, nothing wrong with the mod that I can see. I loaded a new game without any errors or messages and the mod marked all research options as complete.

Maybe check that you have the latest version but from what I can see, all if good.
Wolvyreen  [author] Feb 10, 2021 @ 10:19pm
@CTH2004 So this mod was created a long time ago and I haven't played SM for a long while. Let me spin up the game and see if it is just a version update.
CTH2004 Feb 10, 2021 @ 8:47am
I can't get it to work. It says "incompatibile version"

so, why might that be?
Wolvyreen  [author] Jan 14, 2021 @ 11:21pm
Thank you walter :-)
Hugh Jaynus Jan 14, 2021 @ 7:47pm
Works perfect. Been searching the workshop for 45 minutes to find this. <3 You deserve that award.
Wolvyreen  [author] Jun 6, 2020 @ 5:04am
@houseofchange, Should be
Chilly Fox Jun 6, 2020 @ 4:36am
Is it still working?
DrewDrooJroo Jan 20, 2020 @ 3:25pm
@Wolvyreen I never enabled the mod with the in game mod editor. Once I did that it worked like a charm. Thanks!
Wolvyreen  [author] Jan 19, 2020 @ 9:48pm
@Drewdunno I didn't have to do anything. I literally just started the game and all my research was done. Try temporarily disabling other mods and see if it fixes it but from what I can see on my side, it works and works for everyone else too
DrewDrooJroo Jan 19, 2020 @ 5:31am
@Wolvyreen Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not. I unsubscribed and resubscribed to it and launched a new game, selected the first row of research items then went back to the main play map, waited a whole Sol, still only normal research progress.
Wolvyreen  [author] Jan 18, 2020 @ 11:48pm
@Drewdunno I loaded up the game and it works perfectly for me.
DrewDrooJroo Jan 18, 2020 @ 4:13pm
Not working with latest version.
Wolvyreen  [author] Jul 26, 2019 @ 10:32am
@VladiZarth no problem :-)
Vladi Zarth Jul 21, 2019 @ 4:47am
nvm. im a retard. thankyou my friend
Vladi Zarth Jul 21, 2019 @ 4:45am
it seems i cannot make it work
Wolvyreen  [author] Jul 20, 2019 @ 1:11am
@VladiZarth yes it should still work. I haven't had any reports that it is not working
Vladi Zarth Jul 19, 2019 @ 9:27pm
is this stil work?
Commissar May 27, 2019 @ 5:20am
I don't know if I'm the only one doing this, but when I did that, I did a lot of research, and I didn't apply for it.
Astronaught May 26, 2019 @ 2:49am
Worked like a TREAT !!!!!!!!
Kedi May 5, 2019 @ 8:14am
Really Good :steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy:
Wolvyreen  [author] Aug 7, 2018 @ 12:07am
I'm looking in to the game version incompatibility issues.
ChoGGi Jul 29, 2018 @ 1:25pm
If you use a CreateRealTimeThread instead, then your thread won't speed up when the player speeds the game up.

You should also use OnMsg.CityStart instead of OnMsg.PostNewMapLoaded to get rid of:
[LUA ERROR] attempt to index a boolean value (global 'UICity')
Mars/Lua/Tech.lua(823): global GrantResearchPoints
...kshop\content\464920\1337852234/Code/instantResearch.lua(14): <>

Or you can just use this, so you don't need to have a timer running every 3000 ticks:

function OnMsg.ResearchQueueChange(city, tech_id)
GrantResearchPoints(city.tech_status[tech_id].cost)
-- updates the researchdlg by toggling it.
if GetDialog("ResearchDlg") then
CloseDialog("ResearchDlg")
OpenDialog("ResearchDlg")
end
end

Unfortunately this isn't possible. The devs have actually stated in an official response that they won't be disabling achievements when using mods so we can't reverse that either by disabling achievements. I don't think at least.
SpyShadow117 Mar 25, 2018 @ 9:40am
Be giving it a try, any idea how to temporary disable achievements to avoid using cheats to activate them? Sometimes I like to just play the game on a god mode but have achievements off.
