Excellent puzzle. Of course the intro video in which the player can't do anything adds a few minutes to the time. There is a way to shave quite a bit of time off, but you don't realize what it is until you've already solved it, so it doesn't count as an exploit. Naturally solution videos are lickety-split... but those don't include the false satrts, bumbling around and standing still while pondering during the first time through.

Very clever puzzle. Took me longer than the advertised time, around 45 minutes! But I got there in the end.

Incredible work! This test chamber has everyrthing every Wheatley-themed map should have: buttons, funnels (complete with music), bottomless pits, and explosions. It's absolute dynamite!

Enjoyed playing this one. The door didn't stay open for me either. After several tries I just considered it solved anyway and left. Good map and good puzzle. Keep up the good work.

good puzzle.
franken cube did not stay on the button, that keeps the exit door open, untill 3rd attempt.
2nd attempt, I funeled to exit area, after disabling the outer fizzler.
then got pined to the door, the frame preventing me from moving,
untill I fired a portal & had to repeat the process.
you could move the exit door across 1 tile, to solve this.
you could make sure the franken cube stayes on the exit button, by:
placing a funel above it, that could be activated when all other buttons have been pressed breifly once.
apart from the glitches, a very good map.
which more than makes up for it:)

It was great, but the cube kept falling off the button, so I ended up going through 7 cycles before the door stayed open long enough for me to get through. Other than that, I'd say this map was cool.

@presto668, that was origonally actually in the map! The problem with that however, was some of my testers found this nudge before figuring out what to do, and it gave it away if you were randomly firing portals trying to find a solution. I will look at alternatives tommorow though for this problem.

If it's the portal position that's the problem, maybe add an info_placement_helper to nudge the portal to the right spot?

I did not have that issue. Good map. About FAQ 4, do more wheatley themed tests! And single portal chambers! They're your best maps.

@people who are having issues with final button, I will investigate this now in hammer, but in the meantime, it could be the position you place the funel in, if the funnel is not strait on to the button I can see this happening.

Well, that was pretty good. The puzzle wasn't especially hard, but it was quite a pretty test in the Wheatley style which I love so much. I also liked the little 'ride' at the beginning.
