very well done and amazing mod for the game and works very well, i have been trying to test other countless other brightness and lighting mods to make campaign maps brighter but none of the other mods were suitable to me, this mod in particular makes each of the campaign maps for the game brighter and makes dark spaces/rooms more illuminated and easier for my player, and navigating the map feels way more bright, really brightened my day knowing this mod corrected the gamma correction for the brightness for the game, and this game mod really is awesome, amazing mod you made and good work.

I know it's very late, but I have a question
Can you make "low sun"? For example, remove sunlight but keep the sun (circle)
Because I like it that way

Nice, bud. Now the Cold Stream's second map is fully playable from the beginning to the end. It's just how developers don't always realize how unlogical and bad idea default sun rays are. I mean, for such a bad thing in the game there should always be an option to disable.
And it was so much simple to combine by adding the vtf. If I get pissed off with other light effefcts, I would darken the other light_glow images as well.

Nice mod for the Cold Stream tunnel, every time I go out side the safe room the sunshine will hurt my eyes.Thanks for your mod, It's pretty helpful.

no, they actually perm deleted the priv. to have mods on versus servers.

now the sun flare doesn't work on the hentai rape group versus server, guess they like it to be annoying.

L4D2 is made like a movie, with movie posters for loading screens, grainy effect during gameplay like reel films and movie style scrolling credits. That's why the lens flare and camera effects are relevant.

You can also experience lens flare, if you're wearing glasses also... And in my case, my glasses has a lot of scratches. And it looks like BF3 when I go out on a sunny day outside.

Finally a mod that removes that silly visual impairment, thanks. <3

Just to clarify I didn't make this for realism; I did it because it's an annoying feature.

@KAT27 - go outside. Don't look at the sun but look so the sun is in your view. You will not see lens flare or any other effects. Try the same trick with a light bulb. That is real life. You get lens flare with cameras not with your eyes. Try leaving the basement.

Cold Stream isn't canon so I don't take that one too seriously. But indeed that tunnel is annoying.

But really, when the sun shines right on your eyes it will be annoying how is that unrealistic?

add +mat_motion_blur_percent_of_screen_max 0 to your l4d2 launch options if you haven't already.

in real life your eyes dont get sun flare, lens flare, and all the other effects that game producers seem to think make it more real.

The sun is very much not awesome in Cold Stream where it blinds you in that one tunnel just after a safe house. As if my character (Ellis) wouldn't just tilt his cap to block the sun and be able to see just fine. This mod is much appreciated.
