This made everyone stop calling me Archmage (and Nirya starts talking about "a change in leadership" again).

You need one where Feralda can be Archmage or Master Wizard instead of Tolfidir. Guessing that would mean she heads aftershock quests or something.
J'zargo for archmage 2014
True... but i think they want you as arch mage since your a F***ing Dragonborn lol
Unfortunately it is the same with all the other guilds too, I had hoped there would be a choice.

setownership 1c19e
those commands will solve that but player can still sleep in it, it's displayed as owned but not in red
Others still greet you with Arch-Mage unless you undo this: Game.GetPlayer().SetFactionRank(CollegeFaction, 6 ) Didn't searched what it should have been but setting the rank to 5 solves the greeting problem, if it was lower that would still be OK, I suggest you simply add Game.GetPlayer().SetFactionRank(CollegeFaction, 5 ) to that stage 5 script to help people who finished the quest.
Or you people I think it ok to use the console command player.addtofaction 0001f259 5
if that command is good to change the rank if you are already in faction, otherwhise set to -1 first.
That faction code is for CollegeofWinterholdFaction but there's also a CollegeofWinterholdArchMageFaction (00103372) but to me it seems that's not played with in the process.
But I agree with Commando 2047, his hair does clip heavily! Give him a hoodless version!
In any case, fantastic idea. If you are able to create a variant of this for some of the other questlines/factions (the companions one specifically seems to irk me, especially since they still treat you like an errandboy after), that would be fantastic. It's nice to be able to get these titles if you want them, but having each one handed to me (forcefully) starts to hurt the roleplaying aspect and the immersion aspect pretty quickly...plus it quickly begins to feel like Bethesda is pandering to the (perceived by them) inferiority complexes of their fans by granting them some kind of wish fullfillment overdose.
That said I do apreciate a mod like this for winterhold. There are enough different schools of magic that most builds would take on at least one or two. Unfortunatly winterhold is the only place in Skyrim that teaches these skills. (At least in a roleplaying cannon sense.) So it's a godsend to be able to "major" in a particular guild, but have still saved and learned from the college.
P.S. One of my characters is tied to being the arch mage. The other simply goes there to master her illusionary magic. Thus is makes role-playing sense that afterwards.
the crazy old coot keeps on losing shit!
rediant stupidity!
He sometimes unquips the robe and walks around naked, but you know what?
If he's a senile enough old fuck to assign a drifter to the position of 'Arch-Mage of Winterhold' and indeed all of Skyrim after three dungeon crawls and half a day of questing, that befits his character perfectly.
I'm not even a Mage. I'm a thief/archer. I know maybe six spells, and only had to cast two through the entire questline.
This would be an excellent fix for people who've already completed the quest upon finding this mod, me especially.
This constant being the ultimate hero thing really, really bugs me in Skyrim, to the point of ruining the immersion and making it less fun. Thieves Guild, Companions, Winterhold College, Dark Brotherhood. I might as well be High King; I run everything else in the nation.
I would suggest finding a method of allowing it to work with a save game after completion a priority. I don't plan on replaying a mage character anytime soon, but this may be the thing that convinces me to go back for a while.
@alexanid: The mod isn't designed to be activated through the console. It is designed to be activated through a dialogue option at the end of the College of WInterhold questline. If you have already finished the questline, it's not supposed to do anything. Someone asked if they could activate it after they have finished the questline, and I made the suggestion to try activating through the console because I have had users say that has worked.
UPD: I can't even restart the quest "The Eye of Magnus".. showquestvars gives me "Stopped" and i can't do anything about it..
