Hey Rocket is it cool if I use the sweet looking Fury Fighter in my mod Retaliation? I will give credit of course.
Katherlyn Oct 24, 2018 @ 5:17pm
When you get a chance, I'd like to talk with you Rocket about your models.
Aegeis May 3, 2018 @ 9:53pm
Can you also make this an asset mod so other mappacks can use these resources?

@ShadowZealot7 Guide is up! go check it out.
ShadowZealot7 Mar 24, 2018 @ 9:54pm
@Rocket3497 Thanks for the tips, I'll keep an eye out for that guide!

@shadowZealot7 unfortunately the new models aren't modifiable(as they are .msh files), but you can find old versions of the bz models on bzscrap.org as .xsi files, and you may be able to get these into a 3d program using an importer, but if you are looking to modify existing models you may be out of luck as there is no way of modifying the actual models themselves at this time, you can however make your own, i'm working on a tutorial right now that will teach others what i know as far as simple ship making.
ShadowZealot7 Mar 24, 2018 @ 11:24am
@Rocket3497 Which files are the scenes? I tried opening the .msh files in Blender and 3dMax but mothing showed up. Then I tried using an online converter but nothing showed up. How do you edit the 3d models?
Rocket3497  [author] Mar 23, 2018 @ 10:27pm
@shadowZealot7 actually the hardpoints a vehicle has is based solely upon the name of the object in the 3d scene, in order to change what hardpoint something has, you'd have to find a way to change the hardpoint's name in the 3d file. (hp_cannon_1 to hp_mortar_1)
ShadowZealot7 Mar 21, 2018 @ 1:52pm
Hey Rocket, do you have any tips about customizing vehicle hardpoints? I'm trying to get a scout to fire mortars instead of a cannon, but it won't let me change the type of hardpoint it has.

@darthlink Thanks! i'm glad you like it, i'm working leisurely on some more stuff, will release when it's done.
SirCraptainCrunch Mar 15, 2018 @ 9:20pm

Activate it in the MODS menu from the main menu (the place where you go to select single player, multi player, or instant action), and then click mods, select this mod and activate it. (you may need to restart bzcc a time or two in order to get it to download the mod in the first place)
ndamelio22 Mar 14, 2018 @ 2:44pm
how do you activate it
Rocket3497  [author] Mar 14, 2018 @ 2:17pm
@ndamelio22 if you activated the mod correctly and are in the correct game mode it will be buildable using factory or forge
ndamelio22 Mar 12, 2018 @ 5:21pm
where do you build the fury?
Rocket3497  [author] Mar 9, 2018 @ 5:13pm
@dondelium also be sure to travel to https://bzscrap.org/ it has some tools including a .pak file reader that you'll likely need.
Dondelium Mar 9, 2018 @ 4:22pm
Thanks man. I dont know how I missed that glaring folder of obvious definition files. I guess I was too busy looking for a package to open.
Rocket3497  [author] Mar 9, 2018 @ 3:00pm
@Dondelium Look in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BZ2R\bz2r_res you will find .odf and .inf files which you can modify in wordpad and anything you mod put in C:\Users\David\Documents\My Games\Battlezone Combat Commander and put a new folder in there called Addon, for some additional information you can go to http://bz2md.com/smf2/index.php?PHPSESSID=haij9k5lojto13bs35g2700493& but this website is kinda dead, but there's good info there. Also this https://bzforum.matesfamily.org/
this is a new website: https://forum.bzuniverse.com/
if you can't find the info you're looking for on these websites you can ask people in the discussions section on steam. (there is likely more than enough modding info on the websites i gave you though.)
Dondelium Mar 8, 2018 @ 10:06pm
Hey Rocket, fun addition. With that stated: quick question: I have been looking into modding this game. How do you open the vanilla config files so that you have something to reference while developing your additions/changes?

You wouldnt happen to have a reference guide/link for modding would you?
Ded10c Mar 6, 2018 @ 5:47pm
The SAV class isn't really designed to have a pilot; Furies are sentient weapons, not ships.
Dracon Mar 6, 2018 @ 5:33pm
Ah, yaknow long ago when I was able to play the old disc version of the game, seems like I remember that being an issue to with any mod that allowed you to build them there even.
Rocket3497  [author] Mar 6, 2018 @ 4:50pm
also, the fury fight pilots will jump out for you if you have just finished building them and they haven't attacked anything yet, if they have engaged in battle they won't hop out for you, i think it's a problem with the class, nothing that i know how to fix.
Rocket3497  [author] Mar 6, 2018 @ 4:49pm
actually they are placeable in the editor, but they are designated as fvfurytank and fvfuryflier
Dracon Mar 6, 2018 @ 4:31pm
Pretty sweet mod. Only problem is cant seem to get the pilot of the figthers to jump out so you can pilot one? Even so, stronk vehicles. Pretty much steamrolls the AI since they dont seem to build them lol
Ded10c Mar 6, 2018 @ 1:29pm
@GeneralKong: They already are; in the Objects tab, type "fvsav" into the Config box.
GeneralKong Mar 6, 2018 @ 6:20am
@Rocket3497: any chance for the Fury's to be spawnable through the Editor? thanks for the mod
