it's two major releases behind the current mod version and hasn't been updated since 2018. Chances are it will not work or will bug out badly. Look for ESC NEXT is you want the current version of the mod..
Ortlife Mar 19, 2022 @ 9:25am
This still works in 3.3?
NHunter  [author] Apr 28, 2021 @ 9:02am
yes
Alizia Apr 27, 2021 @ 4:45pm
The stelar energy tower says it gives +15% FOOD from jobs .. is that intended ??
NHunter  [author] Apr 6, 2021 @ 7:55am
It should be the former.
W0lF Apr 5, 2021 @ 11:15am
So, if I have 40 Large Tier 3 Cyclonic Shields on my Ship: Does that mean they regenerate (40*0.005)*(40*1440) = 11.520 Shields per day or does it only recharge 0.005*40*1440 = 288 Shields per day?
Mimic Mar 22, 2021 @ 8:23pm
I also can't find Psionic Charge. A friend said that he saw a fallen empire that had buildings that produced it. I think you might have to defeat a specific fallen empire to get some.
doodlepigs Mar 19, 2021 @ 5:00pm
same here, I can't seems to find the building for making psionic charge .... a hint?
NHunter  [author] Mar 7, 2021 @ 12:01pm
they should also regen regardless of the ship being in combat... if I remember right and that ability hadn't been pulled out yet in 2.1
shrvm<3 Mar 6, 2021 @ 1:14am
So are cyclonic shields II better than Hyper Shields VI in terms of regen?
barrett Nov 28, 2020 @ 6:03pm
Strange, because I do not have a building that generates Psionic charge. I'll look into it.
NHunter  [author] Nov 28, 2020 @ 3:39pm
All ESC-specific resources (and vanilla nanites used by nanite weapons/armors) have a building that provide jobs making the resource.
barrett Nov 28, 2020 @ 2:02pm
Not sure if you still care about this or not, I'd just like to know how do you get the psionic charge resource? I've been scouring the game and the internet to find anything to no avail. I swear I'm just not looking hard enough.
NHunter  [author] Feb 21, 2020 @ 9:08am
AI will *** eventually *** research ESC stuff. But even grand admiral is too stupid to keep up with a human
The Almighty LeeLee Feb 13, 2020 @ 4:40pm
quick question, playing this in conjunction with NSC2 and it feels like AI can never keep up, does the same apply when you guys have played with just the extra components, does the AI utilise them to keep up with your fleet power?
NHunter  [author] Feb 9, 2020 @ 6:29am
No, standard shields have fixed regeneration rate (yes, it does come down to 1%, but it is defined in explicit units (e.g. 10 per day) so while those units do add up, you still end up with equivalent of 1%)
Drunk Demoman Feb 9, 2020 @ 6:27am
Don't those standard shields still stack (So 1% shields on 3 slots=3%)? Or have I been wrong my entire play time?
NHunter  [author] Feb 9, 2020 @ 4:40am
except those .5% are additive as percentages (so 3 large cyclonic shields will give you global 1.5% recharge rate) while conventional shields' regeneration is additive as values (so 3 large shields still have 1% recharge rate)
Drunk Demoman Feb 9, 2020 @ 3:30am
So just a question, the highest tier standard shield is straight up better than the highest tier cyclonic shield at the large size (same shield defense rating, but .5% cyclonic shield recharge compared to the 1% standard shield recharge rate- 14.4 of 1440), while the cyclonic juuuuuust beats it out at small shields, and is exactly the same at medium. Is this intended? I thought cyclonic shields were meant to be weaker, but recharge faster? If so then I don't see why anyone would bother with putting them on large slots since they're worse at that size.

you may get unbidden

i was wondering, some tech like the corrosion warhead torpedo are marked as dangerous, is that just flavor, or can the use of those actually cause bad events to happen?
Sternguard82 Oct 19, 2019 @ 9:38pm
@Nhunter The reference involves the corrosion warhead torpedoes as that was the primary means the protagonists had to help deal with the fleet of fog
NHunter  [author] Sep 20, 2019 @ 9:03am
@Rexvulcan, I don't think there is one. But I wouldn't say no to Hakugei!InSpace
Valaso Osalav Sep 19, 2019 @ 3:48pm
thank you good sir, much obliged.
Pyrite Aug 9, 2019 @ 9:29pm
I love the reference to Arpeggio of Blue Steel and the Fleet of Fog. I love this mod for when I try to create the Fog in my Stellaris games. If only there was a mod that added the Fleet of fog ships in as well... If there is I have not found it...
AJ May 21, 2019 @ 10:38pm
ah, that was it, much obliged
NHunter  [author] May 21, 2019 @ 9:47am
You need to kill the scrapper bot leviathan (Distant Stars DLC)
AJ May 21, 2019 @ 5:40am
Hey! This is one of my favourite mods, could you tell me how to unlock the reprocessing plant? I got it in my last campaign but can't remember how
NHunter  [author] Apr 6, 2019 @ 11:18pm
Current Stellaris game version is 2. 2 .6, not 2.1.whatever
Sims_doc Apr 5, 2019 @ 5:43pm
Hey! According to my launcher this isn't for 2.1 but your description says otherwise. Is there a way you can fix this as i've been thinking your mod was out of date for a month now.
NHunter  [author] Feb 16, 2019 @ 2:34am
This is 2.0 version. Are you sure you're posting the question in the right place?
Almega Feb 15, 2019 @ 9:56pm
Especially Stellarite energy
Almega Feb 15, 2019 @ 9:56pm
What are the console commands for the resources please post them becuase I tried the debugtooltip to get the ID and everything and its getting me a bit sour.
Eidolon Feb 13, 2019 @ 5:31am
Loving this mod but does anyone know which console command I'd use to add Transdimensional Vortex and Psionic Charge resources?

For multiplayer/non-testing games, where do I find those?
Captain Taz Dec 20, 2018 @ 9:36am
Alright then, good to know... guess it's back to the start for me. This is what I get for not reading
NHunter  [author] Dec 20, 2018 @ 9:20am
no, ESC 3.0 --> ESC 2.0 transition will not work due to the difference between how component cost/resource production/upkeep were changed in Stellaris 2.2.
Captain Taz Dec 19, 2018 @ 11:50pm
God I wish I could edit comments. The issue I'm having atm is a fleet combat after-action report shows up in my alerts bar, but no matter what I do the game crashes after a moment. Clicking said alert crashes the game immediately.
Captain Taz Dec 19, 2018 @ 11:49pm
I should add I have NSC2 and Space Combat Expanded, the former not being compatible with 2.2 from what I've seen in the comments...
Captain Taz Dec 19, 2018 @ 11:44pm
So I made a big doof and I've been using the 2.2 version of this mod instead of the 2.1 version for most of the day. Is it safe to switch to this one and still continue or should I just start over?

Really happy to see this mod will be updated, thanks you a lot !
NHunter  [author] Dec 9, 2018 @ 2:31am
since I don't expect any really major changes, just number tweaks at this point, save files won't be explicitly broken, but economy might experience tanking at one point or another
Vaeringjar Dec 9, 2018 @ 1:59am
I assume 3.0 alpha developments will not be save-game compatible through its alpha lifetime?
Archemyre Dec 8, 2018 @ 4:00pm
:O
NHunter  [author] Dec 8, 2018 @ 2:25pm
QUICK UPDATE:

Extra Ship Components 3.0 alpha is almost ready for publishing. It should be done tomorrow afternoon or early evening.

Coding part is complete, I only have various graphical assets left to do. Not hard, just tedious...

Balancing will be done based on my own experience and community responses after the initial version of the mod is up and running.
Smoking_GNU Dec 8, 2018 @ 2:37am
Take your time updating, NHunter. Quality over speed, imo.
Domino--s Dec 7, 2018 @ 6:38am
Thank you.

"You can find 2.2 version ... when it's done"
I'm happy to see that. Thanks for keeping the mod updated! :)
st030 Dec 6, 2018 @ 9:31am
please update to 2.2 :)
Sylvie | Abyss Dec 6, 2018 @ 7:46am
great mod, I've been using it for over half a year in most of my modpacks.
