What map is this?

@OviaZ Unsubscribing from network assets will break any save game they are used in. You need to systematically remove every instance of that asset before unsubscribing from it. This is true of *ALL* network based assets.

@ch1pset

I have fixed the communication issue to clarify my intentions with this asset for the future.
conno  [author] May 9, 2021 @ 9:38pm
@ch1pset

I will never remove my content from the workshop so there is no worry there. I have lost the files for these a while ago and have given up on trying to update them. Feel free to continue to use them without issue/worry but I was just trying to communicate I can no longer really update with all the issues other users are reporting.
ch1pset May 9, 2021 @ 5:56pm
I've been using these for a while without problems. I'm not sure why they are outdated and where would I find a newer version? As long as it works, I don't care, but would be nice to know in case these get removed at some point.

I'm sorry I don't know why it's not working

@conno I don't know why but this mod breaks my save when i disable it from workshop and I didn't find any way to solve it
DO NOT EVER GET OUT THIS MOD FROM THE WORKSHOP PLEASE x)
Barx~ Mar 7, 2020 @ 9:27am
Alright I've solve the problem for the error messages: just go in ressources manager in the game before load your city and turn off manually called "electricity pole" - 2 has to be desactivated - but KEEP "Road" ones
The mod should still working after that with no error messages.
Barx~ Mar 1, 2020 @ 6:32am
your mod seems making trouble with the game when I load my save but still working ingame... but big problem when I turn off your mod it brokes my save like big blue map without any building nor roads on all the map... I just resubscribe to your mod to solve the problem but this is very scary... I got hundreds of hours in my city I don't wanna loose it
Mr Krabs Jan 4, 2020 @ 7:24pm
I mean - no power is flowing through them. Such a shame. Idk if it's conflicting with something, but it looked so good. Sorry. If you could, please update the mod to work with the current pack.
Mr Krabs Jan 4, 2020 @ 7:19pm
They don't seem to work at all.

Was working before Industries. Anyone else having this?

Love these poles, makes my american city more relistic. One question, is it posable to allow us when putting down the poles to curve? Like we have when laying down roads?
TheKosray Jan 3, 2019 @ 5:23pm
What are those traffic lights?
ol' rdtg Sep 16, 2018 @ 12:05am
I am absolutely in love with this mod. Would you consider making a variation with transformers on them and maybe a street light?? That would make them look so great when placed on roads
carlfatal Jul 31, 2018 @ 2:22am
I like these but I get the same message as GordonDry. Maybe you should rename them?
Another problem seems to be, that these poles sometimes transport energy and sometimes not. I stay with them, as they are the best looking ones. But I would appreciate to see them working as utility poles ingame too.

@AngryDragon see the ones we have in edmonton! theyre huge!
AngryDragon Feb 27, 2018 @ 6:15pm
If you've got time, modular elements to create sub stations would also be really nice. There's 2 which aren't too bad on the workshop, but what you can do with them is rather limited. I think that the ones we've got in Québec are some of the more interesting sub stations because they can be absolutely massive with many of them being larger than the average shopping center. Our power comes all the way from the La Grande complex, more than 1000 km away. We've got 2 layers high voltage lines. The 735 kv coming from the north first gets to a substation where it's downgraded to 315 and then sent onto a more local network where a local substation downgrades it to the 25 kv you would find atop those wooden poles.

Thank you guys the tons of inspriration. I really love seeing all of this. I'll get around to looking at the different pole styles!
sp0c3boi_yeg Feb 27, 2018 @ 4:32pm
@AngryDrago, I found some metal poles that are really nice too :steamhappy:
AngryDragon Feb 26, 2018 @ 8:47pm
And... If you are looking for a true metal pole, we do have 3 exemples I know of. Go to the King Grandes-Fourches intersection. That one is a very particular base where they had to get wires across a longer distance then a wooden pole would allow. The other which I know of is located at Belvédère and Galt. The commercial building on the side was once a factory of some kind. The metal pole located there is really old and likely dates back to that era.

Bonus: Look behind Carrefour de l'Estrie and you will notice the location where it plugs into the grid. It's a massive thing compared to most modern equivalents.

Also, look on Boulevard Industriel close to Rue Lesage. That's the power substation. That one is tiny compared to some of those you would find around Montreal, or even the Hertel substation located not too far north of Sherbrooke.
AngryDragon Feb 26, 2018 @ 8:36pm
@Khan Narayan also, notice the round transformers you will find every 3-4 poles. Theses are a must if you are into making a realistic pole.
AngryDragon Feb 26, 2018 @ 8:34pm
@Khan Narayan

For some reason, the steam workshop removes Google Earth links. Search for Jacques-Cartier Becket intersection, Sherbrooke, QC. There's a real mix of styles at that location. You can see how the old and the new got layered which I find really interesting. Just south of the intersection, you've got a radio controlled circuit breaker as well as an example of a pole with where the cross brace is replaced by a metal member. Move along Jacques Cartier and you'll see a number of more modern exemples. The line on becket is a feeder line, so it goes a real long distance uninterrupted. It's also quite old.

@ VTG1800 Okay thank you ill look into it
CactusDude Feb 25, 2018 @ 12:38pm
Love these poles.. I was in Indiana recently and saw them everywhere you have no idea how much I needed these poles for a fallout pre war build.
VTG-1800 Feb 25, 2018 @ 6:09am
Duplicate assets 1306065893.Utility Pole_Data, please fix it

zonda310 Feb 23, 2018 @ 7:05pm
Wait...never mind the poles...WHERE DID YOU GET those Texas/Virgina/Philly style yellow traffic lights with black backplates!? those look insanely realistic
conno  [author] Feb 23, 2018 @ 1:41pm
@ AngryDragon Opps my bad :)
AngryDragon Feb 22, 2018 @ 9:57pm
The pole is still wooden. When i mentioned metal, I was referring specifically to the element supporting the insulator. A wooden pole is plenty strong enough when it comes to transmitting vertical loads. The real problem is lateral loads such as those imposed by ice or wind. That is why the the last pole anchored and the slack is removed. When you have ice, or any extra load / weight, it will want to bend the poles toward each other. Because there is no slack, the extra load is transmitted in a strait line all the way to the last pole where the anchor takes the load and transmits it to the ground.
