This mod also makes all lighting darker, which is what I actually was looking for, maybe you should add this to the description.
This tweak only touches the darkness value and nothing else.
I may have a look at the editor sometime this week and see what else is there and if there is a night penalty value, I might make a couple of separate difficulty tweaks if there aren't any already available.
I think I deleted most of them from the archive I uploaded to reduce the loading time when you first start the game because it only has to load 3-4 different effects rather then the 30+ that come with ReShade.
If your game is working fine with my ReShade preset, you can just ignore the outdated warning, it's just there to tell you that there is a new version available. If you would like to update but keep the effects for Darker Nights, you just have to:
Go to reshade.me, download the newest version installer
Double click the installer, click on "select game to install to" then just select the reshade installer itself.
Tick "Direct3D 10+"
Click "Yes" if you want to download all the the available effects or "No" to continue
Then copy the "dxgi.dll" file that downloaded and replace the one in the Kenshi folder.
However, there is a link in the readme that leads to another repository, what does it do? Also when I start the game it said that the ReShade version is outdated. Should I update it and how?
Nevertheless this mod (with ReShade) make the game look great without affecting performance too much :).
dxgi.dll
dxgi.ini
kenshi.ini
And one folder:
reshade-shaders\
@Komrad Thanks, glad you like it.
@ourhealthmatters I can't play anything without it anymore lol, too many games are totally desaturated these days
there are 3 files and a folder in the rar:
dxgi.dll
dxgi.ini
kenshi.ini
reshade-shaders\
make sure that you put those files in the same folder as kenshi_x64.exe
upd: btw, without installing ReShade ur rar preset not working...
