There is a mod that sets the nightengale and DB cowls with this effect that apparently works, I hope this one gets up and running though because having it as an enchant instead would be so much more convenient.

Crouch to make sure I'm hidden, equip an enchanted item, kill someone, run away, crouch to make sure I'm hidden, unequip the enchanted item, sheath my weapon, walk up to a guard, and I still have a bounty.

thank you this is helpfull not cuz im a cheating bastard but because my mod where it "diguises" you from gaurds is glitched because i had the stormcloacks take over so instead of having the owner patch it ill just use this

okay i've tried a few things, like running away from guards till they didn't follow me anymore. but it seems like this mod doesn't work for me. i've read the guide to do it like 5 times... great idea for a mod tho

This works great with all DLC, yes if you do not get that disguise in your bag, look out side on the street in Whiterun, that happens to me too, lol, great working mod, no need for updates! This mod out classes many other mods out there, due to its simple manner, I enjoy doing evil things to bad fellas when I have this in my kit:) Makes a good fella look like good all the time :)

Didn't get added to my inventory, but I found one on the street in Whiterun after I entered the town.

if you are still working on this mod, if not a feature already, consider a "framing" feature, where the disguise can be hidden in a house, and then you'd tip off a gaurd etc.?
i've been trying to find a mod that does that, as it seems like a unique option that'd be fun to use and would have a lot of applications, and it'd work greatly as a feature of this mod.

I get the hood right away? I don't have to search the map for it or buy it for a ton of gold? Fantastic! Not enough hoods in the game so this is great! I also love that it disguises you so you aren't instantly nabbed for stealing something when you could have sworn no one saw you.

When I load the mod, it makes so that my character cannot run. After unoloading the mod, my character can run again.

and supremeoverlord it does work, but you have to take the mask OFF and THEN ur bounty will go

thanks so much for this mod! for anyone saying its a cheat, i wouldn't call it that because lets face it, in real life if you wore a mask to a city, went on a killing spree and came back the next day they probably wouldn't arrest you

For RP purposes, I put this enchantment on a Thalmor Hooded Robe and named it, "Thalmor Disguise." I haven't managed to get it to work, though. Even small bounties, such as for torching a chicken, still remain.

@GP you need to wait for some hours cause the guards could be chasing you and if you wait for like 4H and they not there then you should remove the mask

This isnt working i put it on commit crime run away take it off & when i go back the guards still attack me

well my armour is good now ill put the enchantment on it the mask and also then have normal clothing best bounty hunter enchantment ever

Does not seem to be working. Not really sure why. It use to work a while back, but then I stopped playing for several months. Now no matter what I do it does not work. I'll put it on, commit a crime leave the area (far from the crime scene), take off the mask and nothing. I'm still a wanted man. Any suggestions?

...This'll work for when I feel like mindlessly slaughtering villages.
Or when my Vampirism reaches truly feared and I gotta GTFO...

I should have read the description before I used this. Accidently took it off right after murdering everyone in the Drunken Huntsman and got confused why I still had a bounty.

Guess it makes sense. There is a Argonian in daedric armor chilling next to dead bodies right after a murder.

wish i would have used this for the dark brotherhood questline lmao. it's so immersion breaking for me to be wearing stuff that covers my face and yet have guards put a bounty on me and recognize me when i come back to the region months later.

I have no idea why they didn't put The Gray Foxes Cowl in the game? Guess Nocturnal got that back while losing some stupid skeleton key? Like the skeleton key really matters if you perk up you lockpicking skills. The hood was actually in front of the Breezehome on the ground in WHiterun each time I've played...I actually didn't notice it about 8 times and I walked over it those 8 times until my character made a sound like he hit something or something hit his feet when I first subscribed this mod and played a fresh game.Thanx for making it breakable to enchant something else with it.

best freakin mod ever i hate when you somehow committed a crime and you don't know what you did so you find a hiding spot and just take off the mask and the crime dissapears.

*Facepalm* you need to have the search fully off for it to work. Not just hiding from them, actually have the search off @Souldgriffon

Doesnt work for me, I attack sven twice in riverwood to make him aggro while wearing the headwear that it gives me run away go in stealth mode take off disguise and they still attack me.. are you supposed to enchant it with something in order for it to work?

you should make a differnet mask thats like a ski mask

This is a bit pointless if the max bounty is 500. I wanted to love this mod but my character is a cold-blooded murderer. I'm sad now :( Can that limit be raised? Pleeeeaaaase?
