Its kind of depressing that alot of mods are hidden thanks to ESL you tube channel and the other one stealing mods. People suck. I definetly support the modder hiding their files from thieves, it just sucks that everyone has to pay because people got greedy such as mod drop. Mod authors have a right to protect their work, Im an artist and people stealing your work to make a quik dollar can relly ruin your week.

I was just on nexus mods and downloaded the nexxus mod manger. I dont know if it was me but the thing sux, suxs, suxs. Its UI is horrible. All I got was it scanning a bunch of games and the mod would'nt even download.

until now yes, but the next update (hopefully) adds a new character. There, I want to try giving her her own dialogue options and voice (I've never done this before and I am curious myself whether it'll work one day :))

Thanks for telling me :) I have to admit that I didn't notice this problem at all but I luckily there's the internet and I figured out how it to fix it with the latest update. Now, dark elves can be chosen in the character creation without any further issues

The idea sounds awesome :) hard to put into practice, but still awesome. It is quiet simple to write the dialogue (/ dialogue option) for the guards or inhabitants, but to actually hear them it would need actuall voice actors (they don't even have to be professionals). That's by the way also the reason why my other characters only say the standard vendor/beggar sentences. If anybody out there is interested in helping me with it, I'd love to make Daves' suggestion possible.

Tottaly agree :) I just came up with an idea, WHAT IF you made a mod that does makes them accepted, and that the guards say i dunno... something like It's so good that the dark elves got finnaly accepted in a city in skyrim or something like that or, Since dark elves have such a bad reputation, i think the new jarl in windhelm is a great jarl or something ... that would be cool i gues :/ *scratches head* i mean, it would be a great mod maybe

He does accept them but besides there is no further change noticeable in the city. Well it's just a personal thing... For me it fits, for you it doesn't and that's okay if you don't like my version, there are others at nexusmods.com maybe you find something suitable there :)

Hjerim is set in the noble part of the city and the biggest available player home in the game. For me and my dunmer char was it far too big and in my eyes, it didn’t fit the lore (considering the hostile attitude towards dark elves all over Windhelm). So I wanted to create a small place where my “old” char (lvl 102 at the time this comment is written) could settle down as well.
Adding to that there is a huge contrast between the houses so both can be seen separately and for those who don’t want to use it as a player home can also see it as another abandoned house (nothing unusual in Windhelm looking at Calixos house).

Windhelm has a player home, Hjerim :) You get to buy it after you have defeated General Tullius or Ulfrick Stormcloak. It's the house where you catch the serial killer in windhelm. Or The Butcher in windhelm. One thing i do not quite understand, why add a player home to windhelm. when there allready is a player home ? .. *scratches head*

Ok FloofCZ, really you "had to". Come on evryone knows that stuff is a hoax at best or urban legend at worst. Besides curses only have power if you believe in them and I don't so not worried lol. (i recently proved this by entering a cursed stone circle in a haunted vault in Edinburgh and im still here months later).

I use the mod "Towns and Villages Enhanced: Windhelm" myself and I didn't notice any problems at all. I just changed the navmesh a bit so the NPCs won’t get stuck in trees etc. anymore.

I made a mistake. Its the Bethasda Launcher. You get the creation kit for SE thru it. Here is the site that you can get it. Membership to site is the same password and stuff that you used to download mods thru Skyrim SE if you have it. If not done it, the membership to site is still free. here is the link

Hey LISK. If you get the bethasta downloarder, thru it you can get the free creation kit for Skyrim SE. Then you just upload your mod into it. Here is alink to a guide that will allow you to do it. https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Porting_Skyrim_mods_to_Skyrim_Special_Edition

I wish you luck though. I have SE, but will not play it until SKSE64 is no longer beta.

If I knew how, I would :) At the moment I’m just capable of working with the creation kit (made for the original Skyrim) and I have no idea how to edit my project so that it fits for the special edition as well.
