I really like the idea of this mod and would love to use it in my RP game for the group I run. I do wonder about the balance and giving nations the ability to raise armies at a drastically higher rate then their neighbors. It makes me wounder what the balance of the early game is since there's no way Bohmeia or Hungary could stop Austria if the Austrians wanted to annex them,

This is such innovative work, I wish the author was willing to expand this, I have some ideas using his mechanics, but I'd need help doing it

So does this mean it will work without Mandate of Heaven? I have tried it and have never seen the options, Mandate is one of the only two I don't have

@blenzO It's because Castille starts with standing army (Mainly for balance reasons). When you have a standing army, it's only possible to raise levies during war (with the mobilize decision- removes "Peasants in the fields..." modifier)

Something is wrong with Castile? It seems they can't levy any regiments. 0 ouf -19 can be levied for a lot of her provinces? Simple mistake or bug?

I really wanted something like this. Historically the only standing army at 1444 (i think) should be the Jannissary Corps and the Hungarian Black Army.

@Elements08 If it replaces the culture file, no countries (except manchu cultures) will have access to levy troops (You could add them yourself tho). Tags only mathers because of initial balance (Countries like Ottomans had a few reforms, including artillery engineers etc).

@Markot, while i do find your idea great, I have all but given up on this mod for now. Too many obstacles and AI dosent seem to perform well at all for smaller countries (ie small countries never raises levies at war, only larger countries does).

Congrats on the idea to improve the completely ahistorical vanilla system. Shouldn't your system replace unit types, though? It makes much more sense to have a differentiation between countries based on reforms than on the belonging to a technology group. Maybe you could just give equal units to each tech group at the same techn level.

You're saying Mandate of Heaven is required for levy regiments. Am I correct in my assumption, that you use the manchu banner system from the MoH DLC to represent levies?

No, it can run but you wont have access to the levy regiments (which is needed for early warfare)

Will do :) working on the artillery stuff atm. Streamlined the reform decision a bit and added some more localisation and some modifiers for having the reforms. Also fixed some bugs with the disaster and tweaked some balance
