just took a shit and had a idea for this
what if the ball did 30 damage and bounce off enemies for a chance for it to hit a other enemy and then deal 60 to them, and then ramp up from there 7 more times

if it were to be added i think neat stats would make it similar to the sand man, exept the ball recharges faster if you land a hit, similar to how in a normal game of pool if you make it in a pocket you get to go again, the other stats could be whatever though.

There's nothing like a good game of "stick hitting colored balls" (that's what they used to call it back then)- and by "stick hitting colored balls" we mean "stick ramming into opposing team's testicles". Go get em, pool shark!

Nope, they're all the same settings. Itemtest is just a poorly lit map and I happened to not be positioned somewhere where a highlight was evident

Well, if the first image is the newer texture settings, and the in-game photos are older, before the first set of texture and shader tuning, than it's already been dealt with.

Sorry, I'm just used to using Source's lexicon for simplicity's sake. You're right though.

Actually, Phong Shading parameters, are shader parimiters. Phong shading is implemented using pixel of fragment shaders, thus it's parimeters are shader parameters, even if you don't write the shader program, or create the shader data, telling the 3D Modeling program and video driver to do so for you is still creating a shader. Even if you attache the shader parameters for prewritten shader programs to another object that isn't a shader, the shader parameters themselves are still part of your shaders.

You may only change a few variables, but because you put values in those variables, 2 maps are created by your export program as part of LOD conversion, and several additional shader programs are enabled on the end user's machine to render those maps.

Those aren't shaders, they're parameters, but a bumpmap is definitely not at all necessary here. I don't know which part you think looks square but I doubt a bump map would help. I think what you're seeing is the weapon lightwarp, used on all weapons, that is very high contrast and you're confusing it for a hard edge because I assure you it's sufficiently round

By shaders I mean the bump map in particular (one of several shaders.)

The issue is that it looks a little "squarish." instead of round.

I think it has plenty of polies and dunno what you mean by shaders unless you mean phong settings or something but I'm pretty sure they're fine

Since a cue stick is longer, lighter and thinner than a baseball bat, the stats could be:

Pros:
+50% faster swing
+20% longer range of swing
+15% projectile damage

Cons:
-20% projectile speed (8-balls heavier lol)
slight projectile deviation (try hitting an 8-ball with a cue stick in real life)
