Strange, I actually used to have this mod running WHEN the airstrike actually happens, not when bombs occur. For everyone else, do a file check on DoI, restart steam, reboot your system, and re-sub this mod.

Holey Cow this is awesome.
The Stuka now scares me. EVEN when i am playing as the Axis powers.
I am scared to call in a Stuka because of this sound mod.

Would it be possible to add in the whining/howling sound the Stukas made in the movie after they passed overhead? It's very prominent in the clip from the film, and it'd be nice to have here. As far as I can tell, it isn't in the mod as it exists today.

@Canicheenrage The "real stuka siren" sound is uncertain. None survive. Only distorted and lo-fi pre-war recordings that have suffered from being recopied many times on analog equipment.
It's nothing to do with some mad idea about a sound having too much fame.

In short, instead of including a real stuka siren, you put the one from a movie where it was changed on purpose because the original, historical sound was "too famous'.

You never hear the stuka? it might play once or twice during a battle and not more, but it is heard

I've never seen or heard a Stuka used in DoI unless it was me against bots testing sounds. Yet, people still make amazing sounds for them. I love the Stuka Siren, and during Dunkirk when the first Stuka came it made me go on the edge of my seat. Bloody good work!
