Yea, the code is still around but I want to split them out better (fully vanilla instead of re-created). I hope to get it back in at some point, but the code is mostly still all there

Also, leap is only effective when aiming forward, if you aim up too much it doesn't even gain height, it just propells you forward, do you think you could somehow modify it to react in a similar fashion to NS, i know the air control values aren't there, but it would be nice.

Actually it was seemingly working fine just before >< Is there anyway to get a stub with the goldsrc movement in? i was using that for some private modding stuff that i am planning to release for maps i've made >< atleast leave it as an option that we can enable but with multiple warnings? i mean it surely can be activated like seperately but off by default (your advanced movement option) i was finding it easier to jump around in maps created for ns

yea if you can get them in game and working. The chambers dont really require much, in the name of perf I would probably make them static models if I do revist some of that stuff.

the combat wave respawn code should be more robust now. Also do note that only 6 players can respawn per wave, so if a 7th player died they would respawn in the second wave

Though with that map AXAMDY, i'd reccomend if you wanted to try, try out the map co_legacy from combat if you really want co_faceoff ns2 style, it's sort of worthy.

I will make an effort to update the actual map(or seperate map co_faceoff port)

Alright. I updated the mod which should fix all the issues except the respawn bug. Usually that is caused by a bad navmesh on the map, but ill check those maps later

Well honestly I didnt realize anyone still played this... more was just keeping it loading incase people wanted ideas (some other mods are based of things from classic).

That said IF I get bug reports (like below) I will certainly make an effort to fix them. I just cant dedicate large amounts of my time to testing classic each patch anymore (especially since it really requires full playtests like NS2 should).

Issues report of combat mode:
1. The armory is floating in the air rather than on the ground.
2. Motion tracking is not working.
3. Sometimes ppl can not respawn (normal playing, not under the team balance mode), I saw 'Failed to find spawnpoint for respawn wave!' in the console of the server.
4. When 1 vs 1, if one person went to the readyroom or quitted, the game was still going on instead of end.
5. Later joined players didn't get the compensatory XPs like NS1.

Right now I just find these issues, if I find more I will add.

Btw how to increase the max entites limit in the classic mode ? (not just those stuffs in the ClassicConfig.json, I mean sometimes it would showed 'Can't build - too many entities' while commanding) The current setting for siege007 is really not enough.

Archie - you need to press X and vote for your upgrade first. Then it'll unlock the structure in which won that vote.

made ns_hera and dont mind doing anymore. Played a few rounds of ns_hera and combined with the mod it's quite fun.

I haven't updated this for a while, but I was pretty sure it was fully working still even in 274.. Did you encounter some issues?

@Haruka. NS2 is 32 bit. NS2: Combat is 64 bit. There's a reason why it was made into it's own game. the 32 bit engine could not handle the requirements.

So how is this mod compared to Classic? I want 100% classic gameplay. NS2 failed hard for me, hopefully the new dev team can fix that game. Looking forward to this when it's completed.

I have found a bug when u scan on marines it doesnt reveal the room so siege cant fire unless you actually go in the room your self

If not there is something wrong, preventing people from connecting to the server

(May not be the NS2C mod itself, I was able to host a server running the mod)
