Yeah, since they have charcoal in there to begin with.

And science did not think it was a good idea....Science discovered it was the idea.

The secret of steel has always carried with it a mystery. You must learn its riddle. You must learn its discipline. For no one - no one in this world can you trust. Not men, not women, not beasts.

Great idea! That always bugged me, how they made steel :\.

You know, I always thought that should have been the case from the start. Thanks for making it more realistic and less corundum-wasting. :)

Brilliant idea for smelting charcoal. Like LeeDavis, I added to my personal mod as well.

This mod is excellent, except you should need iron ingots instead of iron ore. I have another mod that lets you smelt down other gear and get ingots from it, and it would be neat if I could smelt down an iron shield and use the ingots I get from it to make a steel shield.

Thanks for the idea...updating my own mod (personal use only)

I think you did sonething backwords. 1 iron ore + 1 charcoal = 2 steal ingots. I think you wanted 2 iron ore + 1 charcoal = 1 steal ingot

Good idea for a mod, but I'm finding that 1 iron ore + 1 charcoal is giving me 2 steel ingots... Bug?

I also hate how leather weighs more than the skin that you get it from!
