Is there a way to remove the scabbard for this, the scabbard on the back just seems wierd and moves strangely
Mewtooo May 9, 2015 @ 9:11am
Must have. Subscribing now.

<3 blades smithing, ninja katana/dai katana and this, yay for variation

@Monochromation Its really easy to edit the speed if you have the Creation Kit. :) I could also make another version. :)
Monochromation Nov 11, 2013 @ 4:56pm
This is amazing. I only wish it were faster. I mean, I have my character pull this sleek, beautiful blade from his back, bring it to the ready, and then heave it in this slow, lumbering swing. Aside from that, wonderful work. I commend you.

I'm not seeing it anywhere in steel smithing category and i have the steel smithing perk
mikesepticeye May 6, 2013 @ 1:12pm
no no no only one handed
[Ui]Trajan May 5, 2013 @ 2:03pm
I love these, they are great - thank you so much for taking the time and effort to create these fabulous weapons!
Ideo Feb 7, 2013 @ 3:35pm
aaaaaah fuck i've searching all over for this. I have a Blade armor (minus the helmet which is meh) which waited for me till i find a weapon to go with it. since i'm a 2h user with that character, i couldn't use the blade sword, and the ebony blade wasn't quite of the good color to go with the akaviri armor set ^^ Thx a lot!
aBadMan  [author] Feb 5, 2013 @ 11:29am
Yeah, its easier to update/upload on Skyrim Nexus too :)
DerEider Feb 5, 2013 @ 8:26am
Fav'd here but d/l from Skyrim Nexus to avoid Steam messing with it.
Yanis Gazoil Jan 19, 2013 @ 5:32am
I love the modder (l) !! thanks very much

This is a good mod, but when i upgrade my weapon to Exquiste level, the one hand blade and the two handed blade do the same amount of damage. this needs to be rectified.

Great Mod but Ive see Dai katanas in Museums (The Walters Art galery here in Baltimore has a Medievel room FULL of armor and weapons) and they seem to be longer.... almost COMICLY longer given the size of the average Japanese male.....speaking of COMICS ( cartoons) someone need to make an oversized scimitar Like Hassan used in Bugs Bunny cartoons and comics ( HASSAN CHOP!) ( the creation kit boggles my mind I cant use it so I throw Ideas out to those who can)
Swordbreaker925 Aug 15, 2012 @ 1:05pm
LOVE this mod! the Akaviri Dai Katana was my favorite weapon in oblivion for the longest time! i swear i kept that thing for my entire playthrough, never sold it, and probably used it till i was level 20 at least! love this mod and thanks so much for making it!!!
FRSNG Aug 13, 2012 @ 3:20pm
could you make a version that hits quicker but does less damage. katanas are supposed to be fast and the current version feels to heavy and slow
aBadMan  [author] Aug 4, 2012 @ 4:15pm
It's nice to hear that you all are enjoying the mod! :)
AnOdeToNoOne Jun 13, 2012 @ 4:05pm

frendaandbred May 17, 2012 @ 11:59am

Archon Mar 30, 2012 @ 11:17pm

Liquid Mar 29, 2012 @ 5:28am

Superfly Mar 28, 2012 @ 8:57am
very nice Weapon, specially for female characters. Good balanced too
aBadMan  [author] Feb 25, 2012 @ 4:11pm
Well Bethesda did use spears in that "Bethesda Game Jam" video, hopefully they release something... :)
A Corgi Feb 23, 2012 @ 1:13pm
I always thought it was kind of a shame when all the variety of weapons from Morrowind were removed in Oblivion and Skyrim... IMO, being able to use proper halberds, crossbows, throwing darts, etc. just made the game that much better. Hopefully some day someone might get the pack back for Skyrim. Great mod, too.
Totemtanz Feb 21, 2012 @ 3:04pm
the dai katana in the picture lookis pretty short for a dai katana. I wish it was longer
BlitzBob NoPants Feb 21, 2012 @ 12:05pm
It's okay... I didn't really expect you would. You making this craftabale was the next best thing and as long as it doesn't conflict it's all the same to me. Good job!
aBadMan  [author] Feb 21, 2012 @ 7:09am
Yes you can upgrade/improve it... and it counts as steel.
Gwarl the Destroyer Feb 21, 2012 @ 6:55am
Can you improve these at a grindstone? Make sure it counts as steel for the double improvement from the perk.
aBadMan  [author] Feb 20, 2012 @ 1:11pm
No but I can "fix" that in an update :)
Paprika Feb 20, 2012 @ 10:25am
can you craft it?
aBadMan  [author] Feb 20, 2012 @ 7:48am
@BlitzKrieg-BoB: No I gonna keep the sword here.
Charners Feb 20, 2012 @ 3:04am
Cheers for this
BlitzBob NoPants Feb 19, 2012 @ 8:20am
Ah just what I have been looking for. Nice work on this one. Btw There is a mod called "Craftable Blades Armor". Maybe you can ask the creator (SkyShadowing) to add this sword to that mod?
Hidden Gunman Feb 18, 2012 @ 4:40pm
Cheers man, just upgraded the blade, and it's very nice, very nice indeed. Thanks muchly :)
aBadMan  [author] Feb 18, 2012 @ 12:29pm
Update released. :)
aBadMan  [author] Feb 18, 2012 @ 10:57am
I'll try to fix the upgrade part in an update :) thanks for letting me now... forgot all about that hehe :) You can drop the sword and write: setownership (in console) and then you can pick up the weapon without any problems.
Hidden Gunman Feb 18, 2012 @ 6:23am
Nice, thanks. Couple of issues though...if a certain decision is made in-game, the Blades don't interact with you, and because of that you can only 'steal' the gear. Nothing I've tried removes that stolen status off the swords. Second issue is that they can't be upgraded, which makes them vastly weaker than comparable weapons.
