2X Slower Leveling

This seems the least likely to conflict with my build, so I'm gonna try it first. I've restarted the game like five times now, and am about to do so again, because the enemies get difficult and annoying way too fast for my tastes.

With a Khajit using claws and wearing no armor, plus a mod for low animal aggression, I've been able to drastically restrict or even eliminate exp gain, letting me enjoy wandering and harvesting reagents and only rarely dealing with encounters. But the minute I start making potions, opening locked chests, selling loot or buying ingredients, the enemies get harder, and that's just ugh.

Would like to choose which skills level slowly and how drastically each skill affects my overall level.

would you mind giving the name of any of the variables you changed, as seen in the creation kit filter? I'm a novice modder and am curious to poke around. thanks so much.

Finally! I wish I would have found this mod earlier. I dabbled into alchemy and smithing and was a ridiculous Level 25 before even getting to the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller... Which would be fine and good if many of my enemies werent now completely OP for my now mostly non-combat character... I wonder what Bethesda was thinking when they worked on the levelling and balance.

Not really, it's easy to level up.
Suq_Maidic Nov 22, 2016 @ 7:03pm
why would anyone download this? leveling everything up is already a HUGE pain in the ass.
Super Mean Agent Nov 15, 2016 @ 12:09am
So basically it takes longer for players to level up their skills and it's more challenging?!

As someone else said:I wish it were 10 Skills to level up. I added this mod after getting to level 20 far too fast, and I still hit 30 really quickly. Its mostly due to 5 skill increases leading to a level up.

Been using this mod for a while now and I love it.. but leveling still feels too fast for me..

do you have a 3x slower mod?
I don't really care if it becomes a pain later in the game.. more fun for me imo

I'm also looking for a mod that stops Dwarven and Orcish weapons and armor and all the stronger gear dropping at lower levels..
It's so annoying that within a couple hours of gameplay bandits are running around with damn orcish greatswords and steel plate armor and I'm only like lvl 15..

that shouldn't be happening until I'm around lvl 40 or something imo.. and Dwarven gear should only be found in Dwemer ruins as far as I am concerned.

OMG, thank you Theres *so* many "level ultra fast" mods out there, but Skyrim levels so stupidly fast anyway I never understood why.
Cresta Connoisseur Aug 22, 2015 @ 12:28pm
Is this mod compatible with the lvl 252 uncapper?
Stølverk Jul 7, 2015 @ 11:15am
t8ocv34?????
leveling fast?? -_-
you just wait when you get to lv 49 and you wish to level up already.

OMG THANK YOU! I loved Skyrim the first time thru but it went so fast (leveling) that I only did like 1/2 the quests and missed tons of content. This will rectify the situation :D I am literally starting a new game as soon as this mod is installed and deleting all my old save games. No going back :D

When I unsubscribed to this mod temporarily to level faster, I went and crafted an iron dagger, which immediately jumped me from level 3 to level 6. It also jumped me TEN skill points for some reason. Is there a way to fix this?

Excellent mod, exactly what I was looking for. Works perfectly too.
Warsun Aug 10, 2014 @ 8:43pm
OK after testing i might have to go 3X slower leveling.Anything you do.that is equal to 5 skills just seems to jump up your level. It it were 10 Skills to level up.It would be much better. An feel more realistic.10 skill increases an you get a level up.great.You get 5 skills increase level up.Doesn't sound very fun.

I`ll try this because the last one Smithing increased so fast for Hearthfire i gained 4 levels in 10 minutes.Lets see if this mod is better.

Does exactly what it says and works well. I felt like the vanilla leveling was way too fast and this slows it down to the perfect pace (not too fast or slow). I actually just quit playing for a bit because I wanted to show my appreciation to the developers of some of my favorite mods and this is one of them. Excellent work and thank you for the great mod!
Vark Apr 13, 2014 @ 8:50pm
Thank you for this mod! Until now I was using a similar one that supercharged your smithing and I didn't know why. Couldn't make myself not craft things as I like to do that. So I guess I'll keep my char with 50 + smithing and use this from now on, and chalk it up to an interesting hobby he had for a while that got stale or something.

please make a 2 times faster one

This is a very good mod. Like others have said, it forces me to use training, which I all but ignored in other playthroughs. It also gimps the quick leveling one typically takes for smithing, enchanting, and other skills. I feel like my character is getting stronger with every level, but at the same time, she's not a god. This mod also really makes you really think about the perks you choose when you level up. No wasted perks, you are forced to use your skills and it is very rewarding. Yeah, I was at level 50 in my first Vanilla playthrough, and in this current build, I've done almost the same amount of quests and I'm only level 22, but my combat skills are actually higher because I got to use them more.

This is fantastic! I finsihed my first playthrough at level 45, and felt it was a little too easy to get there. Started over, and it taken nearly half as much time just to get to level 10. And I feel I've earned it - just awesome.

Cheers!

Love whatchyur doing! I'm having so much more fun due to this mod.
Othobrithol Aug 10, 2013 @ 12:38pm
Thaks so much for making this little but significant change. Now the game doesn't feel rushed and buying training is actually really useful. Those +1 to a skill quest rewards from some NPCs now feel like an actual reward.

Thanks so much for creating this mod! I've sunk over a hundred hours into Skyrim and I still feel like I've barely scratched the game's surface. I played Oblivion to death too, but without a mod like this the end-game arrived way too soon, and just finishing Shivering Isles felt like a chore.

Won't download for me

Gonna try this at once!

I like this idea.
