No crashes in 1.55 open beta so far
VLAD Jun 18 @ 4:53pm
work fine 1.55
Cipus  [author] Jun 15 @ 1:29am
try this and might work but not less than 0.5 as vehicles with low spawn might no longer appear at all
Mr. Bigfootus Jun 14 @ 4:33pm
Just to check, if I want to decrease the max amount of traffic by the mod, I can still use g_traffic to reduce it a bit?
I like the changes, but I'm getting traffic issues (AI doing dumb things) to often.
Azuirele May 30 @ 1:00am
@GT182 Yes, it works in 1.54, its shown in the mod preview there. And also compatible with Jazzy AI Traffic pack, this mod is also designed to specifically work with them.
Cipus  [author] May 29 @ 2:27am
if you get stuck in traffic or too much traffic at some point, just clear traffic with g_traffic 0 then add back g_traffic 1
@Plainolalex: my mod do not add any vehicles in traffic, just increase density of the existing ones
Plainolalex May 29 @ 12:52am
Hey CIP geretting a crash from the police charger Heres the error and cross r3eferenced by chatgpt

The "Real Traffic Density and Ratio by Cip" mod includes high-poly AI police vehicles, and the charger_police_06 model is way too large:

35,039,983 bytes (35 MB)
That’s 10–20× larger than a typical AI model, and it's blowing past the engine's memory pool limit, resulting in:

@Banana Chips thx fpr you post. I also had my problems with traffic mods. Among other things, you can't get across at certain intersections because of too much traffic.
GT182 May 28 @ 10:26am
So this works with 1.54? And is it compatible with Jazzycat's Traffic mod?
Azuirele May 28 @ 5:52am
@Axiolot, like other person said, it is affected by both time of day and area. Although due to how SCS set up their traffic spawn, there would still be issues with rural areas sometimes being more "crowded" than urban areas.
CraZy leGGs May 27 @ 10:39pm
@Axiolot, for me traffic density is reduced during nights similar to irl.
Axiolot T4T May 27 @ 5:59pm
Hey, question, im not quite sure i understood but is the density of traffic affected by area and day/night?
Don Lisper May 26 @ 9:57am
so much traffic like in real life...
FlyingLegend3 May 25 @ 4:01pm
so much traffic
Cipus  [author] May 25 @ 4:00am
for all negative comments, this mod is unchanged since long time ago, and since it's the most subscribed traffic density mod for ATS. This mod only receives compatibility updates at each new game version, which does not change any traffic numbers. if you noticed performance drops starting with any game version, this is clearely due to SCS updates and you should address the issue with them. also feel free to use any other traffic mod you may find on the market and stop posting here comments that I cannot reply since I still play only ATS 1.49 thanks for understanding :steamhappy:
Azuirele May 24 @ 11:09pm
@EggTBD g_traffic basically increase traffic volume in everywhere and at everytime, meaning at night, it would get crowded as well. But since you don't drive during that time, I guess it won't affect you much
Azuirele May 24 @ 11:07pm
@CraZy IeGGS Thanks for extra information, hope it will be finally solved or somewhat solved with 1.55 async loading coming.
CraZy leGGs May 23 @ 10:20pm
@Azuirele, Reports of poor performance go as far back to the 1.50 beta. SCS even acknowledged is issue and supposedly working to address this so they say.
Banana Pizza May 23 @ 2:42pm
@wasnhierlos this was the traffic mod that I alluded to on that May 16 post that I did: "More realistic traffic" by un.nahbar
Banana Pizza May 23 @ 2:37pm
@wasnhierlos funny enough after that last post of mine, I ended up uninstalling that other traffic mod and switched full time back to in-game g_traffic which I set to 3.85 for a perfect balance of surface road, freeway, backroad, country road and opposing road/lane traffic amount. I do not do overnight driving between 9pm and 5am so I'm not sure how setting g_traffic that high affects night time traffic volume.

I'm so over these traffic mods at the moment due to the inconsistent performance issues that I have been having with them since 1.54 was released.
wasnhierlos May 23 @ 2:27pm
@EggTBD What traffic mod use you ?
Banana Pizza May 16 @ 1:51pm
@Tryypz I uninstalled this mod and regained previous performance...easy. I switched to a different traffic density mod and that one works just fine.
Azuirele May 16 @ 11:15am
@Tryypz There have been some reports of performance dropping in v1.54 in both ETS2 and ATS. Perhap it might not come from this mod, I'm getting even more stuttering than usual as well in 1.54
QionToPima May 15 @ 8:41pm
Rx7700xt 2k - 40-120 fps on ultra with this mod) Mostly more than 80 fps
Tryypz May 15 @ 7:47pm
adding on to my comment, my 3070 ti goes from 90-100 fps on ultra to 40 fps with this mod. It's not acceptable honestly.. That's a huge performance drop, and not worth the minimal gain.
Tryypz May 15 @ 7:43pm
Something is off with this mod, the FPS drops even on my 3070 ti is ridiculous. Cant say ill continue using it.
legonair May 1 @ 7:17am
This mod was heavy on my CPU and or Memory even before 1.54. It seems to be worsen when traveling in Missouri.
Cipus  [author] May 1 @ 3:53am
no idea @legonair, I play on 1.49 and works very well. I did not change anything in my mod ever since so must be something SCS have done :steammocking::steambored:
legonair Apr 30 @ 2:04pm
Cipus this mod is heavy on my CPU and or memory is there something I can change to make it less heavy on the CPU and or memory? I would hate to stop using this mod the roads feel empty without it.
Dark & Realistic™ Nessie Apr 26 @ 10:01am
"Read" became an offensive word lately...
Raffi_M Apr 26 @ 3:11am
@starky [ FR ]:
You need to read the description. It definitely says that you need to add the motorcycle pack seperately. He never claimed once that he adds motorcycles.
starky [ FR ] Apr 26 @ 1:52am
You sell dreams to have the maximum download you say that you have added motorcycles in the traffic there is no motorcycle it is a scam your mod you just increased the density of traffic via the config file thing that can be done ourselves.:steamthumbsdown:
Romarus Apr 24 @ 2:24am
Strangely, I tried it again today and the game no longer crashes.:steamhappy: Everything seems to be working.
I also applied the launch options recommended. I also have 32GB of RAM. Let's see what happens.
Raffi_M Apr 23 @ 7:17am
@John Peterson:
I'm glad I can help somebody with that information! :csdsmile:

@Cipus:
Thank you for the mod by the way. Using it since I've discovered it and it makes the world much more alive. Keep up the great work. :104:
Btw, maybe you should include the load order problem somewhere so people know about that from the beginning.
John Peterson Apr 23 @ 7:04am
@Raffi_M thanks man I have the same problem and now it's resolved
Raffi_M Apr 23 @ 6:28am
@Romarus:
I don't know if you use Realistic Train Lengths . If you do be sure to put it below this mod. The game crashed for me when I had it sorted the other way.
Romarus Apr 23 @ 6:15am
"can't load savegame" - i mean the game is out to dekstop when loading process.
Romarus Apr 23 @ 6:15am
I can't load my savegame with your mod. I think the problem is compatibility with Jazzycat's Ai traffic. Isn't it? Another reason could be, that before it i use More realistic traffic https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3423331725
But of cource i have disabled that mod before enabling your. No more mod with traffic i don't have.
So is your mod compatible with jazzycat traffic?
scarce Apr 20 @ 2:00pm
Got to agree with the comment down below, this mod started eating ram as crazy and has an influence of constant fps drops.
Banana Pizza Apr 17 @ 1:14pm
Something off about using the updated mod. It tanks FPS in certain places where it would not do that before (for both my 1660ti and 3050). This lends credence to what the other traffic modder's suspicion that SCS may have tweaked traffic generation in-game natively. In the meantime, I am refraining from using any traffic generation mods and instead will switch back to using g_traffic 5.0 and above...which does not tank my FPS on my 1660ti and 3050.
Dark & Realistic™ Nessie Apr 17 @ 10:09am
@SwippyOG
I think the only collateral effect is that you'll have a higher chance of seeing an accident if the time of day has more traffic, for obvious reasons. But like @legonair posted, they happen in vanilla game too.
legonair Apr 17 @ 9:19am
@SwippyOG I don't think Cips mod is the reason for those accidents because I have encountered a lot of them even without this mod.
SwippyOG Apr 16 @ 9:21pm
Good mod thank you Cipus!
Only thing I've noticed is that the AI be causing a lot of accidents on the road.
CraZy leGGs Apr 16 @ 11:48am
@Cipus, placebo it is then.
Cipus  [author] Apr 16 @ 11:39am
no they did not, I checked the game files for 1.54
CraZy leGGs Apr 16 @ 10:50am
Is it me or did SCS tweak traffic density?

I noticed increased/decreased traffic flow very similar to this mod while waiting on this update.
Cipus  [author] Apr 16 @ 10:22am
Brett you must have mod conflict, or you play with higher g_traffic value (default is 1 don't change this)
Brett Orsborn Apr 16 @ 8:47am
Im not noticing any traffic changes defending on time. Like Rush hour 7-9am is the exact same traffic as 1pm in most places
mauhansen Apr 16 @ 4:08am
ok
legonair Apr 15 @ 4:17pm
@mauhansen Make sure you have the 1.54 version of this mod sometimes the mod manager doesn't update when a new version is released on Steam Workshop. I just played ATS with this mod without any problems.
