I saw this and assumed that it would allow me to hook up CC and temperature-control the area within a shield, making something like a bio-dome. Any chance of that sort of thing being possible?

They don't conflict. The shields have an internal temperature which heats up as they take damage and cool off over time. This allows you to rapidly cool shields using air networks or prevent your shield from heating up a small room.

Cool. As much as I prefer RedistHeat, it's nice to have something that works.
