cant blame you for following suit with keen abandoning stuff , and like keen software thanks for the time you did give a crap - best wishes

I'm sorry to hear that. This is the first I have heard of the issue. Sadly, after the game went to 0.8 two years ago and then was abandoned, it stopped running correctly on my computer. I'm no longer able to play the game properly or spend any time retrofitting the mods. If you or someone would like to download the files and try to get it working, you have my complete permission. I wish you luck!

Unable to place this down in the world... it will light up with the green box, but will not actually place when you click..

Maybe make this take two (iron dust) iron powder and make three iron dust.
Iraski Feb 27, 2019 @ 12:27am
Looks like the stamp mill Keen slipped into the hotfix today is basically an official version of your mod, at least in concept.
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] Feb 23, 2019 @ 2:23pm
Lol! Ooh, that’s kind of important. Thanks for the note, I won’t tell :). They must have changed durability for 0.7. I will adjust it next time I’m near my computer. And thanks for the kind words.
shortybsd Feb 23, 2019 @ 1:18pm
First of all, amazing mod! Hands down one of the best. On a side note: Ore Crusher Grindstones have no durability damage. I don't want to be the guy that gets shot because no one else wanted to report it lol.

Great news, I'm glad! And thanks for the nice note, I do like this mod :)

Hey yas & captain -- thanks for letting me know. I just checked it out. They've changed how the vanilla research works for mills. They *said* they put in backward-compatibility, but it seems like it didn't work. I have updated my files. If you research making a Sawmill, or have that research opened on your save, it *should* work now. Let me know, please.
captainamaziiing Feb 15, 2019 @ 3:43am
What Yas0032 said. My crushers disappeared from my ore facility too.
FriedTato Feb 15, 2019 @ 12:58am
since the update new map and all the crusher is not appearing in the large blocks for placement. nor the head is showing up to be crafted.
Izzin Jan 4, 2019 @ 8:17am
Just create another "wheel" like we have 2 saw blades for the saw mill. Change the stone to reflect powder for ore, and stones for pebbles.

STORI3D PAST Productions Job with putting stones into tables and back is really tedious when you need to do big amounts of stone. Benches have really small inventory, which makes you constantly throwing stones in/out of bench. Profit from rock crusher might be in a) better final product ratio and b) you don't have to take crushed rocks from crusher in order to put new. Maybe you could just do other type of toolhead for rock crushing?
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] Nov 4, 2018 @ 11:42am
Hi Destiny, been asked a number of times down below. Right now the vanilla stone-to-small-stone system is so quick and so overpowered, it doesn't make sense to make it even easier with the crusher. Besides, the crusher would really crush stone too small to be used for building in real life. It's better just to set up 2 or 3 craft tables nearby, dump all your large stones into those tables, and set them to craft.
Destiny930 Nov 4, 2018 @ 11:40am
any chance this can bu udated to change stone in to small stones ?
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] Oct 29, 2018 @ 7:19am
Yeah Fatman, I've toyed with the idea of creating a hammer mill or stamp mill for some projects. It would be nice to see it in action, and I agree that it is probably more likely than a grinding mill to work right -- given the power available. It's on my list, though not sure when I would get to it.
Dr Fraud Oct 29, 2018 @ 4:38am
A request for a cosmetic change. A stamp mill would be more period appropriate.

awesome tysm :)

Heya Kamakazi, change made. :)
KamakaziCow69r Oct 9, 2018 @ 4:47pm
no probs hun :)
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] Oct 9, 2018 @ 4:05pm
Heya Kamakazi that’s a great point. I can make it so that any log works, thanks for the suggestion.
KamakaziCow69r Oct 9, 2018 @ 3:05pm
hey ive noticed that to make the tool head we can only use pine logs. cant use palm logs which is a big pain for some that live within the palm tree area, is there anyway you could change this to allow any wood log to be used?
Pafnucy Sep 20, 2018 @ 3:27am
I too humbly ask for an iron or steel toolhead for crushing large stones, it's not about speed but limited space in crafting table.
Aarmik Sep 17, 2018 @ 1:53am
@oldbookhunter
Just put down a dedicated crafting table near your stone mine, hold down shift and control while clicking to queue up the small stones, gueue about a thousand small stone jobs, use shift-click to quickly move items to and from the crafting table, always leave one space free on the crafting table. Thats how you make a fast stone processing system.
oldbookhunter Sep 16, 2018 @ 9:17pm
I put another vote in for large stones to small. while converting stones works fast on a crafting table, it requires a lot of running around and clicking required for larger stone structures. it might no longer be a "stone mining simulator" (to quote from the dev diary) but it has become a stone crushing clicker game for me now. The stack count is basically the same for this as for crafting table for conversion, but being able just toss them in and run off to do more building/mining is advantageous imo.
KamakaziCow69r Sep 16, 2018 @ 3:44pm
ok no probs, i have 8 crafting ables set p so its easy enough as it is :)
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] Sep 16, 2018 @ 1:42pm
Hi Kamakazi. No, the current vanilla system is so fast and I believe overpowered, there’s no way I could reasonably make it even quicker or more efficient
KamakaziCow69r Sep 16, 2018 @ 1:00pm
hi will you be updating so that it crushes large stone into small stones?
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] Sep 8, 2018 @ 4:41pm
Hey Aarmik. I just can’t make it 50. Like, I have a philosophically enormous problem with small stones stacking to 25. We can build a 2-story 10x10 curtain wall with 1 inventory load now! I doubled it from 10 to 20 with the update, but that’s all I can do
Aarmik Sep 8, 2018 @ 4:38pm
Not to be too creedy, but could we get a update to the stack sizes aswell to match the new vanilla stack sizes, e.g. make crushed ore stack to 50? Would appreciate having to babysit the crusher less :P
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] Sep 8, 2018 @ 2:06pm
Crud, I had completely forgotten about that @grunkibis -- and you had specifically talked to me about that. I should have updated the model too. I'll try to do that soon. Thanks for the reminder.
grunkibis Sep 8, 2018 @ 1:57pm
hey stori, aarmik had that same thing that i did where the first placement is too low in the dirt and you dont know you placed it -- incerase the footprint height and its all good!
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] Sep 7, 2018 @ 1:35pm
Hah! No worries. That's actually really helpful to know, in case it happens to someone else. And it was good anyway. I needed to learn the new 0.6.4 systems, so I spent today updating this whole mod with all new visual inventory and animation definitions. It should basically look & run the same, but it's updated with Keen's new code that should help it work more optimized.
Aarmik Sep 7, 2018 @ 9:59am
Sorry, it seems that I was just being an idiot. I was placing the grinder on the terrain, but since the first building model is flat against the ground it dissapeared into the terrain. Digging a little bit revealed it. Apologies for the false alert.
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] Sep 7, 2018 @ 9:11am
Back in vanilla, usually logging off and logging back on would work. Or I guess in a server's case a server restart. I have asked a couple server owners on Discord, and they're testing right now to see if they're seeing this problem too.
Aarmik Sep 7, 2018 @ 8:48am
Äärmik. Is there a workaround then?
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] Sep 7, 2018 @ 8:41am
That sounds like a vanilla bug Aarmik, it has happened before. I'll talk to the devs, and to some other server owners I know, and see if we can get that to reproduce.
Aarmik Sep 7, 2018 @ 7:41am
Broken, tested on a dedicated server. Placing the crusher does not work. The crusher does not appear after placed and instead the space it was placed in becomes unplacable for all other blocks as if there was something there.
grunkibis Sep 5, 2018 @ 5:47pm
oh good sire it isnt about the efficiency its about the fact that we human mankind can build a machine to do it for us!!!!! agreed, devote a crafting table to small stones, it would be more of a thing to have - maybe for example a large house wants to start a new project somewhere else then in that case it could be cool. all good and long live the modders!
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] Sep 5, 2018 @ 5:29am
Hah! Moar brackets plz! :) You know, someone else asked about the large-to-small stone crusher. And I looked at it. But my feeling is that the current vanilla system is already really overpowered. Like, in 1 second you can crush 1 large stone into 5 small stones. In just a little time you can have enough small stones to create half a castle in your inventory. I can't see any way to make that faster or more efficient with an ore crusher. If they come back sometime and rebalance to make it slower or tougher, I may add this.
grunkibis Sep 4, 2018 @ 5:30pm
nothing since June then i came along...
grunkibis Sep 4, 2018 @ 5:30pm
pushing my luck and gratitude - and thank you for considering the change, we need a Large to Small stone crusher after the 0.6.4 patch imho, a lot of small stones needed for work and it would be fantastic to grind stone... we love your work and appreciate it all, i always say any mod errors are deepflame's coding... :steammocking: (i feel like the guy that watches PBS but never donates to PBS to be honest)(i consider you a Keen subcontractor at this point)(how does one balance sucking up with selfishness?)(at which point are too many phrase brackets too much?)
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] Sep 4, 2018 @ 10:32am
Hi grunkibis, thanks much for the note. I had never thought of how the construction model could completely disappear into the dirt. Thanks for pointing that out! I'll see what I can do to give it a more sensible, taller first model.
grunkibis Sep 4, 2018 @ 9:53am
in my post please replace 'Furnace' with 'Kiln'... that larger taller frame thing from the G menu when first placing the Kiln rises above the soil line underneath it, blessed be the modders!
grunkibis Sep 4, 2018 @ 9:41am
quick note - i placed an ore crusher in front of my windmill but because of the sand i could not see or access the frame for constrction. once i pickaxed a single hit on the square wondering where it all went, then the graphic for the ore crusher appeared. so the footprint frame graphic imho could use a little more height like the oven or furnace have if i could humbly submit my experience, right now its completely flat and can be hidden by the soil its placed on like it vanishes... loving it, all good!
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] Jun 12, 2018 @ 4:25am
Hm. Yeah you should have the height & power for sure. I gave it the vanilla level of friction at the time, but they may have changed that since then. Glad you got it working now but I’ll see if it makes sense to streamline it more. Thanks much for the notes.
Eyeandan Jun 12, 2018 @ 4:20am
hight is 6 or 7 blocks and running dual blades

i can run 2 saws and 2 grinders:2017meatball: at the same time, but a grinder and a crusher is too much?
sounds weird to me

but a few switches and its fine, so all in all it is working
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] Jun 12, 2018 @ 3:56am
Ok that sounds like it’s working as the vanilla system is designed. Each device adds more drag to the system and will eventually shut it down. You may be able to get more power if you raise the height of the windmill
