I like the fact that this is a balanced mod. Others give back the full amount, allowing an almost silly amount of creation/smelting down and limitless skills levelling. +1

hmm this is something im thinking about making myself

Ahh np, not much you can do about it ;) Looking forward to the update when you get the DLC ;)

yeah indeed. Melting recipes must specify the item id so basically all non-standard items are not supported (including DLCs). Sorry about that

Ahh I see. Yeah that's the problem with the way they market the DLC... too expensive when they release the ultimate or legendary editions. They should really address that. One other question, do you need to specifically list the items and how much they melt for? I ask because a lot of custom armour can't be melted too.

Thank you, but I don't have the Dragonborn DLC. I'm planning to buy it at the next sales.
I have a lot of ideas to improve it, but not much time. I really hope to continue improving it.
Thank you for your support.

update*

This mod had been great but needs updating! There's a lot of stuff that cannot be changed/ melted down such as Stahlrim. Would you be able to pdate it?

@s-cardenas63: I've enabled the ability to smelt more items, including daggers. Unfortunately I had to make the ration 4:1 for daggers because it was way too unbalanced otherwise. However it is now also possible to smelt some light alloyed item (swords, waraxes, helmets, gauntlets) and hide armor (which I left out previously). I hope it satisfies your needs ;-)

thanks for the info.

@s-cardenas63: short answer: no I'm sorry. Long answer: I'll probably add such recipes for smaller items very soon (maybe 3 to 1, not 2 to 1), but I want to be sure it plays balanced with the game. I'm still testing it (for long term effects) to see if it helps blacksmiths too much or, the other way, is of little to no use at all.

i have a question for you. if you recycle 2 iron daggers will you get back 1 iron ingot?
