50/88/39 is my current best

I once made a chiral product the wrong way round and had to start the puzzle all over again

synthesis of isomers, great!

40/179/55. It took me a little bit to get all the stuff oriented properly, but it's a nice puzzle.

This is my fast solution: 395 / 18 / 110 [imgur.com]

Great puzzle! I think my favorite solutions are probably this fast one (245/23/114) [imgur.com] and this one [imgur.com] with just three instructions
Tannhäuser May 13, 2020 @ 11:16am
Very nice puzle, I hav a fairly elegant looking solution. It's one of the cheapest i've seen so far, and it kinda reminds me of windscreen wipers. 60/63/61 https://imgur.com/a/U7dAtYl

Very creative idea. I like it

Here's another low sum solution: 70/37/21 [imgur.com]

An interesting puzzle. The unusual input and output shape makes cycle and area quite difficult. I've got a low sum solution: 60/44/29 https://i.imgur.com/dr2Yw7e.gifv
and a fast solution: 425/17/110. https://i.imgur.com/l74NHwa.gifv
The theoretical minimum for cycles is 16, but that is probably impossible.
MagicMarker Jul 7, 2019 @ 6:22am
I now have a dozen alternative solutions for this problem.
Smallest area : 85 / 47 / 25: https://imgur.com/mUMYmyT
Cheaper/faster: 80 / 37 / 34: https://imgur.com/HQqpE3c
Alternative : 80 / 37 / 34: https://imgur.com/X6d0o2v
My fastest machines do 27 cycles, but they're either a LOT bigger or MUCH more expensive.
vizthex Jul 1, 2019 @ 5:09pm
@BoilingOil Wow, that's really well-made!
MagicMarker Jul 1, 2019 @ 4:47pm
I got 85/52/32 with this: https://imgur.com/caHbrnl

"correcting chirality" , that's legit chemestry, in 3D they are identical ... but in 2D they are just enantiomer
vizthex May 17, 2019 @ 6:33pm
Nice! I could make this a bit more efficient, but I'll have to do that tomorrow: https://imgur.com/k3g7Oak
Cerby Apr 16, 2019 @ 3:44am
Managed to beat the top percentile of area (18) with 90/63/17

Simple little puzzle - that was fun.

It's a Opus Magnum version of a matchstick puzzle.:steamhappy:
Nice work!

One arm added, but now I havve no loop anymore. 6 repeats programmed manually, and collision happens after that.

Money well spent for -1 Cycles
Krypt Nov 4, 2017 @ 11:02am
Now the best solution I have is 320/25/142
And it kind of cheaterry. x2 cheaterry.

70/58/25. Nice little puzzle!
Ivins Oct 27, 2017 @ 4:01pm
70/48/21 best over all, I aim for low area and cycles seems to be the best of both and a relatively low cost.
hyosho Oct 27, 2017 @ 1:05pm
Haha, that student was me, the first time I did that level I did exactly the same thing! :shhappy:
raith017 Oct 25, 2017 @ 9:42am
50/167/46 my best $
85/42/49 my best cycles
90/69/23 my best area
Hamster Oct 24, 2017 @ 8:33pm
I laughed really hard about this. Thank you for making this.
W Oct 23, 2017 @ 7:07pm
This is a very good puzzle! Both cycle count and cost are hard problems: I've yet to manage a 2-cycle throughput to beat my 4-cycle one, both at 35 cycles, but I've managed the minimal cost, 40g, and it was a headscratcher for sure.
coelocanth Oct 23, 2017 @ 4:59pm
50/93/33 using a single extending arm
70/42/48 was my best rotary

Cool! Chirality has gtiven me a lot of grief in this game. :hee: This one was pretty easy, though. I got 100/79/35. :elementomega:
