PS: The only case the AI actually disregards strength is when they don't have any regions left (except for horde factions), in which case they suicidally attack the next best hostile settlement and try to take it.

They should actually realise that. I recently did an auto-resolve playthrough of a whole campaign for testing and I didn't notice any such problems. But I mean, it's a total war game - sometimes, the AI is just completely retarded!

What I realized is as follows (Empire campaign with Karl Franz): AI is stupidly and suicidal aggressive. For example: Marienburg pretty soon declared war on me. I put all my units into Eilhart, and Marienburg sends armies to attack me all the time. The first army was about 1800 men vs 1800 men of marienburg. I won. The next turn, marienburg sent the same army (now consisting of probably 900 men again to attack me (I had almost no losses, so still around 1800 men. Next turn it was 500 against 1800. So they don't seem to understand that my force there is more powerful than theirs. Secessionists and Redhorn tribe also did similar stupid things (Redhorn Tribe lay siege to Reikland, which has a good garrison, but I also had an additional army there.

So it seems AI can no longer realize when they are hugely overpowered and still attack.

The changes have by now been implemented. I have not properly tested the Wood Elves as of yet, though, only superficially.

By the way: I will definitely make some big changes to the amber system in the future ...

I now own the DLC and have looked into the issue. Wood Elves are now far friendlier towards each other and diplomacy should be easier.

Thanks for looking into it

Hm, strange ... I don't really know what to do. I'd try myself, but I don't own the wood elves dlc (yet)^^

I start and continue steadfast throughout the whole campaign thanks for looking into this :D

So I looked into it and the only possible cause might be that all wood elves are very unreliable. The only other factions with similar unreliability are beastmen and, from about turn 60 onwards, minor greenskin tribes and the vampires. This should actually not have an impact on what they are prepared to accept, though, it just means that they're treacherous. Maybe your reliability is just very low? Is it steadfast in the beginning or do you start as unreliable?

Seems pretty weird, as far as I can tell I made wood elves no different from the other factions and their inter-faction diplomacy works just fine. I'll look into it when I have time. Leave a comment again as a reminder, I might forget otherwise :D

I really like this mod, especially the other nations capturing and recolonizing, however, I normally play as the Wood-Elves and I've been having a hard time getting the confederation option to come up beyond impossible and the other wood-elves tend to refuse anything beyond non-aggression, trade agreement, and I normally have a pretty easy time earning their favor. Any advice?
