@Doctor "DJ" Jones, thanks for the reminder. I released this mod when Dragonborn was only on consoles and wasn't aware of the 'split' Amethyst Dragon Claw. I'll try to get around to updating the claw to anotehr unused material.

@trent.robertson. In DB DLC there is an Amythest Dragon claw.

@~Rune!h|Renux!~, the key is only for collection's sake -- no functionality is tied to the key. It is meant to continue along with the lore presented in the Thieves's Guild vanilla questline.

If you're having trouble and are stuck, use the coc console command.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... I use alternate start and I my start point was in this cave. At first the main entrance was locked and just thought "Oh well I will fight my way through" just to find out I can't get out... Will this thing work on the actually door? Or am I totally screwed?

@Oblivion Slayer: There is a mod for that. Look at the Nexus site. A key to this dungeon is provided, giving you access to the Word Wall and everything else inside.

That's fine, thank you. I think I see what you are going for. I was hoping this mod would make it so my pladin type character wouldn't have to do a thives guild questline.

@Oblivion Slayer, that's not the scope of this mod: a simple, lore-friendly addition to Vanilla Skyrim. I think I've seen another mod on the Workshop that does what you're asking for.

Location Spoiler: It can be found in the last room of the dungeon, near the alternate exit. And of course, beyond the Claw door.

@Zer0, that's precisely what he says. But I wanted to add the item back into the game, so decided to pick and make a new claw (since it's not known what it is made of).

@s_d_c08, thanks for the heads up! I try to check all my mods (from MW and Skyrim) against the UESP, but the info on Dragonborn has been slow to come and I didn't find it when I searched originally. Guess I'll have a headstart on changing my claw to a Garnet or some other gem before Dragonborn is released.

@JoeyTerrifying, @Night is correct, the Ivarstead bar keeper has the Sapphire Claw. But perhaps you recognized mine as a retexture on it? (Technically, the textures are the same, I just changed the color info in the nif to match the precise color from the amethyst gem models)
