If you want to heal your bonedog, disable the mod, feed them, let them heal, re-enable the mod.

the animals dont need to eat, true, but they also won't heal any prexisting hunger either. my pack animal and my bonedog forever at less than max strength is annoying. could have just made it like 90% less hunger instead

The way I worked around limitations was to change the "race" individually. If the mod create new races (even if they are similar), it won't work. If they don't, it will likely work. It depends on how modders did it.

It did work, I got a mod that allowed me to buy beak things from an animal trader. They consume no food.
So they are compatible.

I works on the vanilla wild ones. However, they can't be tamed vanilla, so if you have tamed ones, that's from a mod and I certainly can't guarantee it will work. It probably won't.

Well, then you do have a mod for it :)
Backpack are partly enabled through the race settings (you make a backpack, then say on each race you want "they can use this specific backpack"). So is the hunger rate.

Overriding the backpack mod with mine might work ? It's worth a try. The only other solution would be to edit the back pack mod and set the hunger of your chosen animal to 0.

It works on bone dog, garru and beak thing. But since you can't have beak thing without a mod, I assume the issue is linked to the mod (it simply doesn't work if you use a mod changing the creature).
The best way, if your mod doesn't do alteration to the creature besides making you able to buy them, is to overrride the mod with mine.

Also, remember it doesn't reset the hunger bar of the creature, but make it so it never decrease again. IIRC importing will reset it.

Giant velociratpor are a mod. Doesn't work with mods, you should contact the mod author if you want the feature.

I checked, and yes he can't feed. Sadly there isn't much I can do, essentially the hunger is set to 0 and act as a multiplier to both eating and "losing" hunger. Also the entire squad is set to malnourished, if I changed that, the character won't be starving either, so that's too big of a change.

Not much I can do on my side, I suggest disabling the mod, feeding your dog until it's not malnourished anymore (no penalty) and then enable to mod.

He eats, but his hunger doesn't go up. It shows the arrow but it doesn't move either way

The mod shouldn't interfere with their eating behaviour. Feed the dog (drop meat on the ground or give him a limb), and he should eat. If that doesn't work, save and import. If that still doesn't work, let me know, and I'll check.

Animals you can use (dogs, garru, bulls) shouldn't be sold malnourished. The others are for gameplay reason (they are eater, either people or crops).
If the animals that spawn from the trader are malnourished, let me know, but I think it's unlikely considering in my game they are full. It may be related to another mod.

I love the idea of this, but ultimately ended up removing it. A lot of animals spawn malnourished and I'm not able to feed them to raise their stat penalty with this.

I have found the stats category, but no hunger rate, only "animal strenght", "smell blood" and "smell eggs". I guess im in the wrong place, but what is the right place then?

Ok, so if I'll assume you know how to edit a mod and open the stuff you need to. If not, check a tutorial or something, that's going to be too long otherwise^^
Open the species you want to mod. In the bottom of the list on the left, you have a "stats" category. Inside you have a "hunger rate" line. Set it to 0, and the species you are editing will never need to eat ever again.

I can't do anything as I would need to edit the mod you use. I can't make a blanket change, it's a species by species changes.
I'm a bit busy ATM, but I'll tell you how to edit it yourself. It's just about editing a value in each species data.

I figured out the problem, the mod "Animal traders" has all the animals with the ending PET, so "Bonedog" becomes "Bonedog Pet". The animals that end with pet dont get their hunger disabled. Can you do anything for it, or tell me how to make a fix myself? Thanks

You probably added a mod between both purchases. This mod affect the species directly, so every animals will be affected. Unless you use another mod related to animals, and it override the species datas.

For some reason this mod worked at the start of my campaign, but then it stopped working, i could have two animals side by side, one that had the effect of the mod, and one that didnt, both animals were bought from the same trader in different times

Not really, sorry. It's his mod, I would only change a single value on his animals, meaning it will be his work for the most part. It would be more appropriate from the mod author to do it than myself.

Also, I don't use the mod myself, so I don't have an interest in it^^

I found where the conflict was, it was with the Wildlife Diversity standalone mod from the Genmod collection
