@[PBSr]Pablo Escobar Yes, the type of building is mentioned in the top right corner of the page, under the thumbnail.
Pablo Svich May 2, 2020 @ 10:33am
Is this growable
Wagram Apr 11, 2020 @ 6:13am
FIXSOU Jan 18, 2020 @ 1:54pm
j'arrive pas a lancer le mod

I rather like their simplicity, gives you alot of opportunity to express yourself without alot of additional props to contend with. These are great assets.

One thing that did strike me though was the need to dress up the fronts a bit, I think adding shutters and a gas lantern like I did adds to the ambience of the asset. Thanks again for doing these Gecko

Thank you for your answer Gecko. Don't be so angry, I admit that I read the description too hastily.
Lost Gecko  [author] Sep 24, 2018 @ 12:34am
@Levkoni Please refer to the last sentence of the first paragrah and the entire bolded second paragraph of the description. I'm sorry for not having made those all caps and italics as well to increase the chances of you maybe noticing it.

Hi, why props from this houses don't show in my game?
BlankFX Jun 29, 2018 @ 7:33am
Wow, these houses look so french, they could be german.
Lost Gecko  [author] Jun 5, 2018 @ 8:05am
@Ganliard Scale in this game is all over the place: vanilla props like tables are too large, citizens are usually true to scale, cars are overscaled, many large buildings are underscaled. My houses, and all my assets in general, are based on real life measurements. The doors are a standard 2m, the floors are around a standard 2.8m.
Ganliard Jun 5, 2018 @ 7:22am
It looks like the houses are slightly too small in scale - the door are small compared to cims and cars
Lost Gecko  [author] Nov 26, 2017 @ 9:12am
@kabee As indicated by the category in the top right-hand corner of the page these are growable. Just like all growables ever, they will grow randomly in areas of the right zoning type. But you can find them with... the Find It! mod oddly enough.
kabee Nov 26, 2017 @ 8:45am
How can I find it?
Lost Gecko  [author] Nov 2, 2017 @ 10:15am
@EDJ95 Because they are small and very basic.
EDJ95 Nov 2, 2017 @ 9:32am
Hey, how do you get your models to have such low tris? :-)
soundersbloke Oct 28, 2017 @ 12:08pm
Merci à ta réponse. J'ai désactivé bcp de mods et d'assets. Je le réessayerai. Cela dit des assets déjà detaillés seraient formidable quand même
Lost Gecko  [author] Oct 18, 2017 @ 3:05pm
@soundersbloke Je suis effectivement francophone.
Merci
soundersbloke Oct 17, 2017 @ 8:52pm
I wish you could make a series of homes with their plots already detailed with props. My Asset Editors crashes everytime I try to add props, so it's not worth it. I will resubscribe when this comes with props! Thanks :]
S1T3Z Oct 11, 2017 @ 9:03am
Thank you for answering me, i'll try to find a way to make it works :D
Lost Gecko  [author] Oct 11, 2017 @ 7:51am
@Ljubiaka Not sure what you mean by the difference between subscribing and downloading but pressing the subscribe button should be al that's needed. I have no idea what causes the problem because it seems to work fine for others, sorry.
S1T3Z Oct 11, 2017 @ 7:31am
Hi. I tried to install it automaticly (subscribing) and manualy (downloading) but only house 1 works, others are "MISSING - Ig" can you give me an answer please :)
mofenu Oct 2, 2017 @ 5:10am
@ Darkangel

Sadly, this asset is pretty conform to what french suburb looks like theses days, as the market of building houses is own by a few players, there is litle to none originality to the architectural style these days. The sadest part being that even cities centers are contaminated by the same disease, where modern buildings for the last 30 years seem to have completely forgot about history, and historical cities center with "renaissance look" are sufucated by glass and concrete architects frenzy...
More over, i'm living near the border of Luxembourg and germany where there, it's quite common to see houses with coloured walls...
Darkangel Oct 2, 2017 @ 3:34am
Yes they could almost be mistaken for some parts of Australia too as many buildings looks very similar these days. The 4th picture looks interesting merging with the grey clouds above and the grey cars below. France architecture seems to have fallen since Jacques Tatis Mon Oncle or hulots holiday. I’ve seen documentaries how much architecture these days is so impersonal it makes the individual feel small in relation to the corporate world around him and that highways are ugly and don’t encourage street performers and arts and crafts like the footpaths of Spain where much color and creativity is seen where people can talk more not having highways and other estranged architecture in their way.
Lost Gecko  [author] Oct 2, 2017 @ 3:05am
As for the lack of colour, I suggest you have a look on Google Street View at all the french suburbs you want. If you don't feel like searching, here are the first 4 random french suburbs I looked at spread across France. Feel free to use mine in an Afghanistan build and very colourful cartoons ones to fit in what you imagine France to be. Keep in mind one of the reasons for the lack of variation is that I wanted to use the same textures for all the houses to decrease loading time with the Loading Screen Mod.
Lost Gecko  [author] Oct 2, 2017 @ 3:05am
Do the houses look extremely bland when used as is? Absolutely. But I don't like to include props in general because they might not be to everyone's taste, and are pretty limiting if you want tobe a bit more creative, with larger lot sizes for example. I don't like forcing people to subscribe to a long list of required items either, and vanilla trees are ugly. This is why I prefer keeping most of my assets undetailed so that people can decorate them in the game if hey want, or in the asset editor with the props and trees of their choice. I understand that it isn't ideal for people who just want to subscribe to them and use them immediately, but this is the compromise I chose.
Lost Gecko  [author] Oct 2, 2017 @ 3:05am
@Darkangel You are right in that "props" don't include "trees". I should know by now that everything I don't state 100% explicitly in the description will result in comments like "The pictures are fake :( " coupled with a negative rating. However, it is perfectly visible on the screenshots that only props and trees have been used as decoration. As you can see, none of the custom props and trees used are listed as required items, which clearly clarifies what "no props" in the description means.
Darkangel Oct 2, 2017 @ 2:25am
To be fair to fizzy bubblehead, props could mean anything like a garden seat etc but as this is a growable you would at least expect some garden to pop up with it i mean i havent installed it yet as the houses all looked the same with with no garden to go with it you may as well just dl the uphouse which is at least colorful and ploppable. Anyway its nice to know how the other side lives. It surprises me the frech being such a colorful race and language would stoop so low as to have everything a murky grey, this looks more fitting for somewhere like Afghanistan and especially with no garden.

Lost Gecko  [author] Oct 1, 2017 @ 8:42am
Thank you everyone!

@Fizzy Bubblech Please read the description. No props .
Scrappy Coco Oct 1, 2017 @ 5:45am
The pictures are fake. I installed the house pack, but all I see ingame are the houses without any garden or something. Doesn't look nice...:steamsad:
Darkangel Sep 30, 2017 @ 12:07am
Looks very similar to colored houses in snowfall.
mofenu Sep 29, 2017 @ 11:50am
excellent !!! thanks for making it ...
BLVBoris Sep 29, 2017 @ 12:46am
Oh my god! Thank you so much for this
Lost Gecko  [author] Sep 28, 2017 @ 5:33am
@hadece Thank you very much! :)
hadece Sep 27, 2017 @ 12:48pm
Very, very lovely! I like the different shapes of each building. They totally deserve position 1 in the workshop. Well invested 7MB.
Lost Gecko  [author] Sep 27, 2017 @ 11:27am
@Black Lister I kept them undecorated so that everyone can use them and decorate them as they please. Also I didn't want to include tons of requred items and modelling all that into the meshes would have increased texture sizes and geometry.
Lost Gecko  [author] Sep 27, 2017 @ 11:25am
Thank you everyone!
cedara2 Sep 27, 2017 @ 2:50am

Lost Gecko  [author] Sep 25, 2017 @ 4:16am
@[82DK-SL] Mainblocks I took inspiration from a bit everywhere and nowhere in particular at the same time, the white ones are quite specific but the other ones I think are pretty generic, loosely inpired by the region around Orléans, Tours,...
