To answer some comments below:
- yes, you can tame Iron Spiders
- yes, you can tame blood spiders
- it works on megacrab
- for unknown reason, it works on some broken skeletons, who are not beasts.
- it works on every vanilla animal, but it'll not work for vanilla animals in squads, added by other mods, like Kaizo. That's why you'll need patches.
- if you really want to be a beastmaster with a lot of animals in your faction, consider using "no animal hunger" mod, or at least "Grazing" mod, it'll save you a lot of micromanagement.
Can I use this mod to tame Iron Spiders?
Place feeding troughs close to where animals roam for easy feeding. When building a new base, I recommend two animal areas: one safe space (like a building with a feeding trough) to keep them secure, and another near your main gate. This second area acts as a buffer so defensive animals can fight off enemies if the gate is breached.
For recruiting modded animals, you might be able to edit them using the Forgotten Construction Set (FCS). Perhaps someone with experience can provide more guidance on this.
The food issue however has become a near if not currently definite game ender for my recent playthrough, to the point I have made endless amounts of dried meat, cooked yellow meat, and so much more, and the stupid things still are never full. Idk if its something to do with this mod or what but thought I'd mention it regardless. They also take food automatically out of your peoples inventories, which is why it is so detrimental and bad. (Even when I have the option for them doing so set to off).
However, I've got this MOD and I was wondering as to how you go about taming a large, adult beast that won't fit into the prisoner cages?
Like those Beak Things or possibly the large crabs found in the Howler Maze area?
And by "finding" an unconscious beast. I'm assuming if you've OK'ed one yourself, that'd still work?
