Some mods can increase the chance of that happening due to hunters getting a more complex AI ("Guards! Guards!") or changes to transport ("Storage management") or eeating algorithms ("Kitchen&Cooking" with eatery option). In case you are using these, I recommend planning for short transport ways so that whoever gets the pickup task can get your meat in quickly :)
The forester house now has a unique build icon.

Das Försterhaus hat jetzt ein eigenes Bausymbol.
This means it is a problem with the forester workers. Do you also have a vanilla forester building, and do the workers who work there have the same problem?
Do you have any mods active that change the amound of resources or anything about the trees?
* look out for your foresters in very regular intervals. If you see one going at a large tree for some time, see how hungry they are. The act of taking control of a villager in first person will interrupt the task, and if the forester is hungry, he will then go home and eat before going back to work.
Best luck for your village, and I hope that you can save your workers from a ghastly death by neglecting basic need during overtime work!
Are you using a mod that makes the trees yield more wood? The more wood a tree gives, the longer it takes to fell it. Especially if your foresters aren't equipped with tools they might starve or freeze to death on the job!
There is basically only few things you can do without having to uninstall your mods (which, in the case of the tree mods, makes most of the trees on your island die and it takes a while for new ones to regrow)
* you can try seeting you foresters to plant only. When you need wood, use the manual order to have your villagers chop some trees near your town centre
This building is designed to have a big radius so that foresters will not have to replant trees, in order to reduce the micromanagement necessary for a constant wood supply.
You could just have your workers cut them down manually (with the collect wood button), if your foresters aren't quick enough :-D
I have updated the mod.
In case of fire the building should now burn as a barn does.
MEGADORI I have noticed that the villagers donot go inside the Forest House as it has a door, so instead they stand the wood stockpile on the left of the building.
The old forrester they did. Any chance you remove the door? I tried going in with 1st person .

I looked into the art of creating mod buildings and just wondered how you crafted the buildings to aesthetically correct. My idea was to build a manual grinding stone to mill wheat. In real time back then they used 2 round stones ontop of each other a hole in teh center and a level to grind their mead or grains to flour. Corn was very popular.. Much later came the Windmill.
