Hello I just want to give my gratitude for this lovely mod its not just its utility that is great but its atmosphere is also just the icing on the cake so thank you. I do have a request however If you one day get to it the reversals feature only works if you use the automatic spreads presented I really hope one day that this mod allows reversal shuffling without the use of a preset spread and one day hope that by turning reversal shuffling on it simply allows you to draw cards shuffled with reversals in it as well. But once again cheers Hiram Abiff for a truly immersive mod.

actually how did you exceed 70 cards at all
pacmastermeow Mar 1 @ 1:54pm
how would i make a custom tarot deck that works with this table

Well done! This is a really fun and well implemented resource. Thanks for making it.

Great tool! Please do the update you mention so it is possible to use the tool in other rooms. Or give the option, in the same room, to change the table. I try to change the table only but the error appears in this case too.

@memorydecay In my experience, it'll work with any deck; I've imported several decks manually, and found, shuffled, then dealt them successfully.

Which deck are you trying to use?
Simon The Vampyre Aug 8, 2022 @ 3:40pm
@Hiram Abiff I loaded a fresh version, and the flames are appearing just as off as ones I had in the old save before modifying them, though only from certain angles.

I've also noticed that the deck gets flipped over when shuffled back together after a layout is done, since I've been using a deck not meant to be read with rotated cards.
Tiefenrausch May 7, 2022 @ 8:24am
Hey, one question. Is there a possibility on having the spreads start flipped face down? Your table is amazing and I love it, but I tend to do readings one card at a time and then look at the bigger picture and having the future cards already open can distract from that.

@Monkey,

Thank you for your compliment. I'm sorry to disappoint, but the tool itself is not designed to work outside of the initial room. The script depends on the room to be setup in a specific order to function properly. The error you were receiving is related to the script trying to find something that does not exist within your loaded room.

The ability to use the tool in a different room has been noted as a suggestion for future updates.

@Simon the Thinblood

I'm sorry I didn't reply to you a lot sooner. I have not personally experienced the issue you describe and have failed to reproduce it. Does it do this after you load the mod fresh from the workshop, or is it only happening in the save you modified? If its only happening inside your modified saves, then try editing a new save to rule out any mistakes or typing errors made within that save file. If you still run into the same problem, you can always edit a candle in a different save and then import it into the tarot room save, deleting the old candles and replace them with your own.

Great work on this, I'm very impressed! I would like to use this scripted deck on an RPG table I'm using with friends, but I'm getting an error if I try to copy or save the object and load it in the other table. It sees the deck and will shuffle, but then I get an 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' error for the function of whatever I'm trying to deal out (Celtic Cross or whatever).

Any ideas? I'd love to be able to get this work for my RPG.
Simon The Vampyre Dec 18, 2021 @ 12:11am
I really like this scripted table, and have been using it with a few different decks for virtual readings.

I tweaked a saved version a bit for my own use, since I noticed that the candles were a bit off in terms of the lighting and appearance of the flames.

One other thing I noticed was that using the shuffle function to reset the deck after accidentally picking the wrong layout results in an error, after which the deck needs to be found again to work.

The mod has been fixed and is now back to fully functioning. Please view the change notes for more information. :wangwithit:

Update: There is a bug stopping a part of the script from running. I've read that developers are in the process of working on a hotfix. I will update this mod as soon as the hotfix becomes available. If you would like to know more about the bug, please read my response in the "Found a Bug" discussion above.

Just a heads up to everyone, I just discovered that when the game was updated just recently with the new engine version, it broke this and a few of my other mods. I'm currently in the process of working double time to finalize and release updates to get stuff working again. Thank you for understanding.
Lord Wisteria Feb 19, 2021 @ 2:40am
Thanks for the reply.
I am looking forward to new version:p4g_singing:

Hello @Lord Wisteria,

Please be aware, an updated version of this mod is in the works, and the help tablet will soon be retired for better alternatives. The tablet was not updated with the last release and there are currently several known issues. Future updates will use a custom UI with easier access to help information.
Lord Wisteria Jan 26, 2021 @ 7:15am
The version of the help tablet is showing as outdated, is it possible to update it?

Hello @Dexter,

As of writing this comment, I tested the mod and found that the deck still downloads and the script still functions as intended. Because it sounds like you acquired corrupted files, I suggest disabling your mod caching and try redownloading the files.

1) MainMenu>configuration>uncheck Mod caching. Close the config menu.
2) Reload the mod. With mod caching unchecked, this will redownload everything from the internet instead of using the previously downloaded files.
3) When done loading, Recheck mod caching under configuration.

I hope this helps.

Hello @AVI,

I built the cloud within Unity using a particle emitter.

Amazing resource. Great job!

Question, though...
Is there a way to resize the cards and not have the script resize them back to .89 when it links to them?
I prefer 1.2 width/height on the cards, but I can't figure out how to make them stay that size when using the script.
Lord Gwýðion Feb 26, 2019 @ 12:26pm
This is brilliant, truly. For anyone wanting to get into learning the cards and the different spreads but who can't really afford a decent deck or have apprehensions about handling tarot cards IRL for whatever reason. What you've created here is a valuable resource, and I can't express how much I appreciate it in words. Thank you for this tool. :D

Hello Zerren, this mod has just been updated to use a different host for the deck images, please notify me if this fixes your problem.

NOTICE: This is a notice to everyone who has used this mod previously....

If you notice a change in the quality of card images, please understand that card resolution has been reduced to improve loading time and errors caused by high traffic on the steam cloud.
Zerren Aug 31, 2018 @ 9:29pm
I can't see the cards and they only pop up as white, meaning I can't see the rotation, however my friend could. Is there any fix?
Hiram Abiff  [author] Mar 7, 2018 @ 9:56pm
Hello, @Da1TruPhoenix ; To answer your question, upon being drawn, and with Rotation set to ON, the scripted tool will use random math to decide 1 or 2; upright or reversed, and will lay out the cards accordingly based on the layout selected.

As for shuffling reversed cards into the deck like in real life, it is not currently possible; this is because when a card is placed atop each other to create a deck, the card objects (including their separate rotations) are removed and both cards become a single deck object....every card added or removed (respawned) from the deck will then continue to share the decks rotation.

Thanks for commenting and I hope this answered your question. If you have any further questions or suggestions you would like to share, feel free to let me know.

super great mod! i did notice that the deck doesn't have any way to have reversed cards. is there a way to get these? or is the shuffle function just not capable?

seems to be somewhat working for me, i had no problems other than the few things Hiram stated he was goin to address. overall it is well made
Hiram Abiff  [author] Sep 12, 2017 @ 6:31am
Hello Terrence, I'm sorry about that. I had a pretty difficult time getting all the files to upload to the cloud without becoming corrupted or unusable. I have since uploaded each file individually though, so I hope it now works as intended; if you could please get back to me on this whether it worked for you or not, I'd appreciate it. Thank you for the feedback.

Several assets seem to be missing and cause errors when the save is loaded
