No problem!
Dark_Whiskey Oct 14, 2021 @ 2:54pm
Might just take you up on that, and of course the credit would be all yours considering... btw, just added it to my wabbajack playthough 1700+ mods... but yes, it's a keeper for sure.
Altbert  [author] Oct 8, 2021 @ 4:32pm
Good to hear (read) Dark_Whiskey. If you need my permission to post the SSE verion on the Nexus or AFK mods, hereby granted, but at least give me credits.
Dark_Whiskey Oct 8, 2021 @ 11:37am
Still works great with no issues on both Skyrim and SSE (minus having to remove the scripts from the Bsa and opening the Esp up in SSE CK and then hitting save for the Esp)

please do. I like the idea of your mod because I do something similar for immersion; I try to put all corpses on open flames :steamsalty:
Altbert  [author] Jul 17, 2020 @ 4:35pm
I don't have any clue what's happening here! But ... this mod could be outdated, since it's posted before the last update from 2015. I will look into this problem.
12051 Jul 17, 2020 @ 9:05am
exactly the same as Caerdrath here
Caerdrath Apr 10, 2019 @ 1:37am
They have the same name. The mod seems to load, as I said, I got the spell and I can cast it, but then nothing happens, just a push on the target.
Altbert  [author] Apr 8, 2019 @ 10:01am
@Caerdrath: I don't have an instant clue, but I will look into this. Do the .bsa and .esp in your folder have the exact same name? If they don't, that's the problem. In that case the .esp doesn't recognize the .bsa as belonging to the .esp.
Caerdrath Apr 8, 2019 @ 5:00am
Hi, Altbert. The mod isn't working for me. I have the spell, but it just pushes the corpse. Any clue on this?
I have downloaded the mod from your website and there is no "amm_disposeofcorpses.bsa" just "disposeofcorpses.bsa".
I have both, .bsa and .esp in my folder.
Altbert  [author] Mar 10, 2019 @ 1:36am
Check to see if there is a file called amm_disposeofcorpses.bsa in the Data folder. If the file isn't there, you can download a zip-file from the above mentioned website and extract the .bsa from the zip to your Data folder.

For some reason I can't dispose of any corpses, are there any mods that are known to break this one?
Altbert  [author] Jan 19, 2019 @ 4:44am
ID is xx000D63 where xx is the load order number (in hex) for this mod. You could also use the constole and type "help _amm_DeadBodyCleanUpSpell" without the quotes. This will display the complete ID of the spell.
5thRankInnerDingDongTheFishtClan Jan 18, 2019 @ 1:01pm
I misspelled half of that comment
5thRankInnerDingDongTheFishtClan Jan 18, 2019 @ 12:49pm
My game crashes when I enter breezholm, so I was wondering if you could list the spell id so I can still use the mod?
Altbert  [author] May 30, 2017 @ 2:40pm
@ Nerdy Scout: Can you send me your load order list (info@elder-scrolls.nl) so I can check if some other mod is interfering? Easiest way to create a load order list is by using LOOT.
CertifiedDwarfLord May 30, 2017 @ 12:50pm
I have this mod at the bottom of the load order and it just pushes corpses slightly when cast, no reward dispensed or dissapearing corpse
Altbert  [author] Aug 26, 2016 @ 2:37pm
Are you using any other mods? Try putting this mod lower in load order, as another mod might be conflicting! Use TES5Edit to find conflicts between mods! Are both the BSA and ESP files in your data folder? If the BSA file is not there, the mod will not work as the scripting that takes care of making NPCs disappear is part of the BSA file. This mod works perfectly with vanilla Skyrim and its DLCs as long as both the BSA and ESP file are installed. If you are using mods, be sure to have some good utilities available: TES5Edit, LOOT, Wrye Bash. There are several thousands of mods available at the moment. I can't check these all for compatibility!
darksoul50115 Aug 26, 2016 @ 4:30am
congrats on making a mod that dosnt work i tried it on a wolf and a impiral soulja i killed and it just shot a fire ball and it moved it ddnt dissapear:steamfacepalm:
ziggy362 Dec 18, 2015 @ 10:19am
Tried two 'providers' neither had the tome. Subscribed but nowhere I my Inv (just to 2x check). Good idea.
Altbert  [author] Oct 8, 2015 @ 2:16pm
Are the bandit and elf killed by the player, a follower or another NPC? Or were they dead by default? In the latter case the spell won't work.
Altbert  [author] Aug 13, 2015 @ 3:16pm
Sorry to hear this mod doesn't work for you. There's a lot that can go wrong with mods: incorrect load order, conflicts with other mods, and so on. Ever since Skyrim's release I have had no problems other than those caused by my own mistakes, such as forgetting to activate a master file or deliberately de-activating a master file (can be both an .esm or an .esp). My advice: 1. use Arthmoor's Unofficial Patches (solves most bugs, if not all, in vanilla Skyrim and DLCs), 2. use LOOT to organize load order, 3. use TES5Edit to find conflicts between mods, 4. use a mod manager (my personal favorite is Wrye Bash 3.05). If this doesn't help, put this mod as low in load order as possible, as it than probably overrides changes made by other mods.
Alex Draco Aug 13, 2015 @ 2:27pm
The idea has potential ; unfortunately, it doesn't work as intended. The spell given by the book is just a fire damage spell that does not do anything special.
DarkEternal Jul 25, 2015 @ 8:00pm
Yeah, it just doesn't work. I tried this and the copy on your website. Neither are working.
PhoenixRush Dec 29, 2014 @ 2:17pm
did not work
Altbert  [author] Dec 3, 2014 @ 6:54am
I think it would be possible by attaching a script to every named NPC, but that NPC should be marked as unique.
aroundthefur79 Dec 3, 2014 @ 2:09am
Oh I was just "riffing" around. The idea of your mod got me thinking about why skyrim doesn't have a better "Death System"(?). I like your mod by the way but haven't gotten around to trying it out yet. I have been meaning to ask someone if there is any way to find out which Characters have died in skyrim? during/throughout a playthrough. I hate findng dead charcters in the game an then having to look them up to see what there signifigance was to the game. I want to make a mod that has a courier track you down an gives you a letter EVERYtime ANY named character/follower/non essential character dies reguardless of if you have met him or her yet. As a modder do you think something like that would be possible to do in this game?
Altbert  [author] Dec 2, 2014 @ 9:22am
@aroundthefur79: That would be very nice, but I don't think I wouldn't be able to create such a system. The investigation part should be possible, but at the moment I have no time to look into this.
Altbert  [author] Dec 2, 2014 @ 9:19am
The reward version doesn't work well, but I haven't figured out why. The script seems to detect the race of the body, but screws up when determining the reward for a particular race.
Odd Donny Dec 2, 2014 @ 7:25am
I had to swicth to the no reward version. That one is working so I wonder if it has something to do with the granting of rewards that is messing everyone else up.
Odd Donny Dec 2, 2014 @ 5:17am
Did a steam and a manual install. Still can't get this mod to work.
aroundthefur79 Sep 13, 2014 @ 8:49am
hmmm we need a funeral and an investigation of death system in skyrim...but I don't think the aI or ui system could be advanced enough for something that cool. But a basic idea would be much like the marriage (system or should i say lack there of) we would have a funeral system It would be cool if there was a list inside the game of all the people who have died besides the random Thievs/hunters and bandits. Yeah that shit would be awesome. I need ES 6!
Altbert  [author] Jul 28, 2014 @ 3:41pm
Yes, you can do that, but that's breaking your game! Also, the body is not disposed, but only invisible, and you will need the console command 'markfordelete' to completely get rid of the body. Otherwise the body will still load when you enter that cell.
Twistybum Jul 27, 2014 @ 7:54pm
um... you can dispose of corpse without mods all you do it 3 simple steps

1). open console
2). click on dead body
3). type 'disable'

Altbert  [author] Jun 9, 2014 @ 12:11am
Then you are missing the BSA file or another mod is interfering.
allthingshyper Jun 8, 2014 @ 2:11pm
All this is doing is pushing the bodies around... that's hardly disposal
h May 18, 2014 @ 4:35am
Ok
Altbert  [author] May 18, 2014 @ 1:21am
Sorry, Hansnicolaim2, I used the Steam Client to type the message, and the client has such small letters. Normally I use the community website!
h May 17, 2014 @ 3:28pm
@Altbert my name isn't @Transnicolaim2, it's @Hansnicolaim2...
Altbert  [author] May 17, 2014 @ 3:18pm
@copezypo: magicka cost has been reduced!
Altbert  [author] May 17, 2014 @ 3:16pm
@transnicolaim2: yes, and with the console command 'markfordelete' after 'delete' you get rid of the corpse completely when you reenter the cell, but it's more fun with a spell.
h May 1, 2014 @ 2:04pm
Just go into the console, click on the corpse and type disable, it will make the corpse invisible altough it still is there.
Altbert  [author] Apr 30, 2014 @ 11:04am
I would not call it cheating and it might even be lore friendly. The Mages Guild (Morrowind & Oblivion) and the College of Winterhold would have studied vampires for ages and should know those vampire spells.
Altbert  [author] Apr 30, 2014 @ 10:35am
@DiGiTaL CLeaNeR:
I have had a look into this, and I think it can be done. However, it has to wait for a while as my Win7 machine has stopped working and my laptop uses openSuse Linux on which I can only use Steam and the CK under Wine, so I just can't test whatever I am creating. openSuse/Wine is not capable of launching/running Skyrim. Also, I am going for a short holiday to Spain this weekend.
Normally the spells to turn an NPC into a vampire are only available when you are a vampire and removed from your abilities as soon as you are cured. So, if you are a vampire, you already have the ability to turn other NPCs into vampire by using the Vampire Drain or Vampiric Drain spell. If you are not a vampire and don't want to become a vampire, then you need a custom made spell.
DiGiTaL CLeaNeR Apr 30, 2014 @ 8:41am
Yeah there's that vampire mod, but the problem with vampire mod's is they eventually cause problems in your game cause they change values that the vanilla game looks for for quest stages and much more. Would be nice to just have this small piece out by itself.
Altbert  [author] Apr 29, 2014 @ 10:09am
I will look into that as soon as I get back from the holidays in Spain.
BotNumber24601 Apr 29, 2014 @ 4:28am
Any chance you could reduce the magika cost? I have an assassin with 100 magic and no destruction perks, so the cost of 118 is a little out of reach without wasting a level up or perk - you probably set it to 100, but the game added to the cost since I have not trained the destruction skill at all.
salzingerj Apr 2, 2014 @ 4:30am
@DiGiTaL CLeaNeR There's a better Vampires mod that gives you the ability to sire those you bite into vampires.
DiGiTaL CLeaNeR Mar 18, 2014 @ 7:23pm
This is a great mod. Can you make a spell that turns NPC's into a vampire? Seems no one has made one and everyone wants it. Might think about making a spell that does the opposite to accompany it.
