For people which want to run custom weapons on there AFK server you can add the weapons as a starter argument for the server in the mutator section. Just add the classname=***.Mut from YOURWEAPON.ucl file.

This way I've added sucessfully a new default turret for the players but sadly i have not found out how to addd weapons in the shop. My little research continues!

Anyone found a fix for the shop? I want to play with my friends on listen servers and the guns dont work in the shop!

I got it working. & have a dedicated Server up, for a foreseeable future & plan to put together the details of how & what to include, including making sure the files are at-least available for a while.

I found a possible fix for solo shop, which displays only favorites for those who havent found a solution.

Find your severperksclient.ini
paste this:

Here you go: 103.231.89.50:7804 and 103.231.89.50:7806 - both the same, the only difference is one has vanilla kf maps that can be played on whilst the other ONLY has maps specificially created for this mod.

Go to multiplayer, in any tab (I think it should work in any tab) right click and then open ip, and then paste in either of them and you should be in! All that's needed of you is to wait for you to download any remaining stuff that you haven't already got and then you're met with the lobby screen.

Any problems, reply here......or in my group or add me and then chat......whichever....

Oh yeah, I should also note that difficulty is also selectable(at map vote menu of course), from Beginner to Hell On Earth if you think lower than HOE difficulty is too easy!

Huh, what idea? Oh right the bots mut - oh yes that's also on there as well - you can play solo, play with friends with or without friendly fire on AND you can play with bots too if you want(all vote options are in mapvote at the end of the game just at the gametype dropdown menu)! ☺:steamhappy:

Becaue you know, WPC's servers are dead....unless you can point me to a valid WPC that's still alive? :steammocking: Or even any other public servers running Aliens KF? No....I just checked all 650 or so servers from the serverbrowser in KF and none are on Aliens KF game type......or maybe there are some servers with it but jsut hiddent in the map vote options.....but I wouldn't know unless I join all 650 or so servers to find out.........

Just that the last time the motion tracker spawned with you when I last played this mod, so yeah that's why I thought it was strange, perhaps they updated it to remove that and so it is only bought from the trader? Or at least that's what I recall....thye should have a changelog to let us know what were the updates and when so I can go "Ahhh, so on the 14th of Jan 2016, they did remove the motion tracker from being spawned along with you and your starter weapons and moved it to the trader menu so they can only be bought after wave 1."....kind of remark...hahaha

Yes it helped, thankyou very much! Perhaps this will also help those others who want to play this game mode solo or with friends/randoms - just host a server with it! :D Actually speaking of which, I might actually host a couple of servers on this if anyone's even remotely keen on this....if so, bump this comment thread and I'll update ya'll on it....or if not, I'll just pretend I never said anything of the sort...hahaha

I myself couldn't get the manual to work. So i used the tatic i told you. also i figured out the motion tracker is bought from the trader once you get the shop fix. either way i hope i helped.

Yeah....so basically just use the manual download method because it has everything, except the shop fix?

And yes you're right, weapons pack was/is still missing and the shop fix needed to be fixed, perhaps ServerPerks was updated and Aliens KF never got an update to reflect any changes ServerPerks made that could have broken it? .....so this needs an update so all we have to do is just download it via steam workshop and should be good to go without doing any extra steps....at least that's what the workshop was/is supposed to be, a way to install mods without any exxtra work needed....or at least any extra *hard* work needed....

Figured it out. You need to download workshop and the manual. Make sure the workshop one is fully intact. After that open your manual file (extract it in anywhere but your steam/killing floor folder.) and find all the files for the alien weapons. So, in your manual files find all the animations/things for the files. Then, go to your killing floor steamapps file thingy, and extract the files from the manual to correct folders. (i.e the weapons file in animations gos to animations, the animation in staticmeshes gos to staticmeshes) and after that not only should weapons work, so should marine models. If the weapons dont apper in the trader, find the download for the trader fix on ModDB.

I haven't tried it yet. gotta identify where just the weapons are, planning to drag the weapons in only, as it makes it more scary with no tracker.

Ok well go do that and see if it fixes the workshop or not......if it does, then that confirms that the workshop is missing the weapons pack....:fhappy:

My guess is you could probably do both, and then drag the missing files in. (motion tracker and weapons) from the manual while leaving the workshop on.

Just got the mod to work workship wise, got the same problem. I have no weapon packs, as there all normal KF weapons. i also have no motion tracker. Its no biggie as everything else (expect for characters) still works. just would like to know how to use some sick alien weps.

Also the motion tracker seems to be inaccurate......50m looks like ~10m distance, maybe even less than that, and apparently 5m = closeup contact where I can't move any further closer because the collision box is preventing me from so.... They should implemt a decimal point system to it and fix this while they're at it, like 1.2m or 0.5m for example...and 0.0m being you're right up to the alien and can't go any further because you have met its collision box.....not 5m....

Maybe the motion tracker is to just make you feel less scared by saying the aliens are further than they actually are and thus you are not so scared when confronting them knowing that they are only 50m away from you when in fact they're like 10m from you....?

I've also notice a change in the Xenomorph death screams too........I don't know what they changed in the manual/workshop downloads but this is what I am currently experiencing. It could be an update or something(either in KF or the mod) messing with this and causing these issues though.... I've even tested this on a fresh install of KF to make sure any other mods I have on my install didn't conflict with this, but nope - still same issues....so either they've silently updated the mod or something in KF was updated silently that broke these things?

I used both....the only difference that I've discovered is that the workshop one is missing the weapons pack.....other than that, if you can manage to install that, then it works-ish.....

I've been unable to make the motion tracker show/work though.....the last time I ran with this was a year ago and everything was working fine including the motion tracker showing up correctly.

I also notice the trader shop menu is empty too....so if you sell your PusleRifle by accident....you can't buy it back or buy any weapons....so you'll just be left with your PitBull and any map spawned weapons you pickup along the way if not playing on pure Aliens themed/oriented map(s).

I came from the manual download and was working fine with that....so far the majority of it *works*, however the motion tracker does not work anymore....for some reason....maybe an update to KF broke this? Also the death screams of the Xenomorphs...is different......from my last encounter................

Rest in piece AKF, I saw updated stuff like the raven in some screenshots a updated spitter and a queen v2 but I couldnt find anything like that and those screen shots were 2015 i think 2014 I forgot.
It was fun while it lasted, it might of died even before i put this.

Guest what guys, Its not complete, on maps folder theres only the "KF-A-AliensTunnelBeta1-2" rom file. Theres no other map on the AliensRelease_v12, also the AliensHotFix didn´t worked for me. Guess Im gonna need more feedback about this.

this mod is awesome! is there still maps and models coming? I cannot get the stupid steam to download the atmosphere processor map and the music pack :(
