Midnight Aristocracy is what Vlad's text often refers to in loading screens and during quests. It is the name of the 'greater vampire empire'.

Immortalz should be what you swap the bloody sunz for, you should swap the overall greenskins to the Green Tide or the "Da Green Tyde" something like that.

Bad Moon Boyz? Fists of Gork & Mork?
Suspense  [author] Sep 12, 2017 @ 1:34am
I'm trying think of a better alternative to Great Waagh. I changed it to that but it didn't seem as popular as Immortalz, plus with the Waagh mechanic it's a little weird. Cuz you got "Da Great Waaagh Waaagh" which is odd. I'm thinking something about the Bad Moon or Gork and Mork into the name. That's sort of a united front. The greenskins just don't unite a lot. Same with undead.

*Not a fan

I'm a fan of that name. I need a lore book because other than the one mod someone made I have never seen "Midnight Aristocracy" used also it doesn't feel like it's a faction name but an organization inside the faction. it'd be like calling the Empire "The Elector Counts"

Should swatch "Empire of the Dead" to Midnight Aristocracy.

Did you consider changing Da Immortalz to The Great Waagh? When confederrating as minor faction or Azhag Red Eye's (crynsos) Immortalz doesn't really fit since they're Grimgor unique legion.

Thank you, you beautiful person!

done
Rustic Clover Sep 7, 2017 @ 12:08am
I hope it's done soon-ish. :P
Suspense  [author] Sep 4, 2017 @ 7:07am
Grr. I got to fix it.
Rustic Clover Sep 3, 2017 @ 11:49pm
So I just saw that the Norscans (when they confederate) aren't actually called "Ruinous Vanguard", they're still called "Champions of the Gods".
Swerto Aug 24, 2017 @ 8:04am
Both work, though in lore it is usually called the Empire of Man. Marienburg and the northern provinces aren't probably too happy being called part of the Empire of Sigmar, though, since they have their own gods they hold higher.

Well, afaik the only human empire called as The Empire (of Man) is only this one empire, Cathay will be refered as Cathay, so to me (and so far source material i have here) the name "The Empire of Man" already distinguished it to other human empire.

and lot of others nation refer to the empire as such also, when people of warhammer said "The Empire" it pretty much surely refer to a specific empire, thus i dare to say it kind of official name of it, although i remember somewhere in the old books of mine there is alternative name (but forgot the exact phrase)
Rustic Clover Aug 23, 2017 @ 3:54am
Yeah personally I prefer Empire of Sigmar. Lol
Suspense  [author] Aug 23, 2017 @ 3:53am
It's kind of both to be honest. Empire of Man from their perspective might be correct, lofty asperations and what not. Kind of like how Vampires like to think themselves the true empire but... they're not really.
Rustic Clover Aug 23, 2017 @ 3:48am
@Einfahrt Freihalten
Was it really? I thought "Empire of Sigmar" kind of distinguished it from otherr human empires like Cathay.
Suspense  [author] Aug 23, 2017 @ 3:28am
I'm probably going to change it back. I wish I could compartmentalize it like my recolor mods.
Deadwalk7753 Aug 23, 2017 @ 3:25am
this is a very good flavour mod i have so far, give a sense of something on confederation, and make faction more unique in a sense it have proper name (no longer generic racial name).

but i still preferyo ur previous mod on the empire, with the name of empire of man instead of empire of sigmar, because in the lore empire of man / the empire was actually (kinda) the official name of it.
if i may ask, how can i change the sigmar back to man? since im very inexperienced with modding ._.

@Suspense
Also, when is the rename of a Norsca confederation to Ruinous Vanguard going to happen, if you don't mind me asking?
Rustic Clover Aug 20, 2017 @ 10:37pm
@Git Gud (Swerto)
Why not Midnight Aristocracy instead?
Swerto Aug 20, 2017 @ 5:21pm
Should probably not name it Empire of Nagash since Nagash isn't in this, save that for Total Warhammer 2's grand campaign when Tomb Kings are added.

My vote is Vampire Lords or something like that.
Rustic Clover Aug 17, 2017 @ 3:34pm
@Suspense
Yeah, it's kinda weird having two "Champions of the Gods" with both Wulfric and Throgg so I'm thinking of using just your renaming mod as opposed to rename + confederation names. I still like this though, and plan to use it in my current playthrough. :)
Suspense  [author] Aug 17, 2017 @ 3:30pm
I can probably seperate them out. I have been thinking about it.
Rustic Clover Aug 17, 2017 @ 3:29pm
By the way, is there a version of this mod that just does faction renames and not confederation names?
Rustic Clover Aug 17, 2017 @ 8:55am
But at least you've got a name now for a Norsca confederation, the Vanguard of Ruin! Or Ruinous Vanguard, depending upon which you decide.
Rustic Clover Aug 17, 2017 @ 8:54am
It would've been great, man. It would've been great. ;(
Suspense  [author] Aug 17, 2017 @ 2:25am
Found the rule. I'm sad now. At least I can show you what it would have looked like: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1113103133
Suspense  [author] Aug 17, 2017 @ 12:26am
Really? Is that a rule?
Rustic Clover Aug 17, 2017 @ 12:07am
Lol, pretty sure you'd get hit by the banhammer for that, since CA doesn't allow any other properties but Warhammer to be mods specifically due to GW's meddling. Even renaming would probably get you in trouble.
Suspense  [author] Aug 17, 2017 @ 12:03am
True. the "of" tends to do that.... or I can just call them wildlings... :P

I kind of want to make a joke mod that renames and recolors them all to Game of Thrones stuff. That'd be funny.
Rustic Clover Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:46pm
Of course you could also have it "Vanguard of Ruin" in case "Ruinous Vanguard" doesn't sound enough like a confederation.
Rustic Clover Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:27pm
Ruinous Vanguard sounds pretty sweet, I must say. And yeah, I was thinking that referring to Chaos by name wasn't such a good idea.
Suspense  [author] Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:24pm
Ruinous Vanguard? Usually they don't outright refer to Chaos as chaos. I like the way they call Chaos "Ruinous Power" or "Ruinous Forces"
Rustic Clover Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:22pm
Indeed. What about "Vanguard of Chaos"? As they're one of the main forces that precedes Archaon's Host, and it still makes them sound cool without appearing to be mere lackeys.
Suspense  [author] Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:17pm
which is the issue because in the tabletop they ARE part of Chaos's army. CA made them a separate race which is cool.
Rustic Clover Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:15pm
A couple names I thought of for a confederated Norsca are "Chosen of the Gods" and "Bringers of Ruin". Then again they almost sound more like titles for Archaon's host...
Suspense  [author] Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:14pm
oh... currently I got Champions of the Gods not Norse Champions... huh. Missed that... still might change it to World Walkers
Rustic Clover Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:14pm
True, true. I meant more specifically in regards to a name that makes sense if either Wulfric or Throgg are the ones to unite Norsca, not having seperate names for different factions doing the confederation.
Suspense  [author] Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:13pm
If I knew how to write scripts better and coding I could probably figure it out.
Suspense  [author] Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:12pm
Or else I'd do separate ones for Mousillon, Carcassonne, Crooked Moon, etc.
Suspense  [author] Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:12pm
Both sort of but Throgg is already odd ball. Unfortunately I don't know how to make separate confederate names for different factions within a confederation group
Rustic Clover Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:11pm
I'll try to think of/find some names and come back if anything sounds worthwhile.
Would you need a name that is fitting for either Wulfric OR Throgg if they were to unite Norsca, or just for Wulfric?
Suspense  [author] Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:11pm
Others get too long like "Follower of the Ruinous Powers" or something.
Suspense  [author] Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:09pm
Yeah... World Walkers would be better... hmm. It's reference to just Wulfric himself but... meh. Screw it. There's a serious lack of lore for Norsca anyways. Even CA had to invent stuff for them.
Suspense  [author] Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:08pm
I'm open to other suggestions though. I'm not really fond of it either but it was better than what I had before... which was nothing.
Rustic Clover Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:08pm
Fair enough. Although I'll admit that "World Walkers" sounded pretty cool. Lol
Suspense  [author] Aug 16, 2017 @ 10:06pm
Well, that was the only reference I found to a united Norsca. The only other time they united was when they were part of the Chaos army. So it's a bit weird.
