Works. For those asking why not simply delete it - other mods do that, and they don't work.

Why to have not simply deleted it ?

I saw this mod and wondered if I could get some help, because my idea is almost the opposite of this mod, with a catch. I would like to create a mod that starts with one GDR. Maybe it is a leftover from a previous fallen civilization, maybe it is an explorer from space. Whatever the backstory, I just want to start my civ, whichever leader I choose, to have one GDR. Ideally, I would also like to tweak it so that it can only heal in the original capital (so if that capital is lost, out of luck). I tried this once in the past, following the mod guide, and it kept telling me I needed uranium. Then I got a new computer and lost all my old files, so I can't even go back and see what I did before... Anyhow, if this is something you would be interested in either doing for me, or talking me through, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

i recall a few months ago i was playing on warlord, and i had about 5 heavilyy upgraded GDRs marching on a civs captial. this civ had 110 defense, about 2 bombers, a crap tone of anti air guns, and some tanks. my GDR army was annaliated. GDRs dont "unbalance the game", you just have to fight them right. they are SUPPOSED to be over powered people! they are called "giaant death robots" for a reason! they are expensive to build, AND cost uranium, which very few civs will get. plus they are obtained at the very end of the game, so if you have not won or fortified by then, thats your fault, not the games. just being honest:/ heck, i have yet to be attacked by giant death robots.. i even played a v1 deity game, all the way to turn 300 something. i won a tech win, and the most powerfull enemy the AI sent at me was bombers and mechanized infantry.

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH :DDD

You should expect giant robots to fight wars in the future.

Thanks, the GDR irritates my immersion and have no idea why precisely...

@Pat-Back - Or if you research faster than them and they don't upgrade it makes it too easy

Thank you, I generally don't like removing units but I want a tougher late game in a domination only game.

Why would you want to remove it.... its apart of the game. but I guess if your slower at researching stuff and you only have infantry when they have the GDR than ok...
Full Throttle Axolotl 13. apr. 2013 kl. 22:42
This mod seems kind of lazy, why not actually remove it?
Monado 24. mar. 2013 kl. 14:40
Thanks, I hate the GDR
Grim Shiada 2. mar. 2013 kl. 12:19
making it 999 uranium isnt really removing it

The Giant Death Robot is kind of overpowered, and it makes end-game too easy. It has 150 strength and can move 5 spaces, as well as being able to move after attacking. Infantry have only 40 strength in comparison... So I concur that this mod balances the game.

I don't get all the hate here. I personally find these things OP and not much fun to use. Late game when I get these I have ~50,000+ Gold saved up so having an army of these just ends the game to fast and they just don't fit in anywhere.
Vagabond 18. jan. 2013 kl. 17:29
i actullally like the giant death robot
Arkane Wisdom 17. jan. 2013 kl. 7:36
i like the idea, personally i'd not want to remove anything from the game (haven't played it yet but i'm a civ vet) i'd reather have it balanced is some form or another, such as ghandi freely using nukes that i've been reading on.... i mean why the hell would GHANDI just freely start throwing nukes >:/
lvl 10 mage 5. jan. 2013 kl. 9:17
Wish ther was a mod that got rid of overpowered nukes, atom bombs, and war machines
Gwyliwr y Nos 1. jan. 2013 kl. 14:02
I DONT APROVE!!! (Unless you will make a mod that will give me 999 uranuim but still)
Ultra Violent Pacifist 31. dec. 2012 kl. 13:38
999 uranium? Challenge accepted.
Vesper 30. dec. 2012 kl. 11:30
Worst. Mod. Ever.
Lord Maximus 29. dec. 2012 kl. 5:02
If you don't like it, don't use it!!! WOW that was easy, you don't have to bash the Author, he is just giving something to you for free to use. As for me, I don't like them. I rather see more real items such as RORO ships, A-10's and things like that. That's my 2 cents, you all have a great day and enjoy the game no matter what mods you use or don't use.

Nukes weren't removed.
V93 23. dec. 2012 kl. 7:27
I like this mod. why remove nukes and stuff like that which are real?
lvl 10 mage 6. dec. 2012 kl. 15:44
i would like tif this removed atom bombs, nukes, and the robot, all three give unfair advantages
~Draugkir~ 30. nov. 2012 kl. 2:35
Actually.. it would be fun to have more types of robots.. something like Mechwarrior mod or something :)
Ulster Voluteer Force UVF 29. nov. 2012 kl. 6:40
death robot is just stupid thats why it is taken out. Unrealistic
Spoonikle 27. nov. 2012 kl. 18:03
whats wrong with the giant death robot?
Pumba70 27. nov. 2012 kl. 15:59
How about just disabling the GDR? There's another mod that does just that.
