With new civic, converting all words in tomb world can be seems as good option

Does this work in the latest test patch (2.2.6)?
cbshing  [author] Feb 18, 2019 @ 6:51pm
@Booperius, it's not high on my list for updating, but I plan to at some point.
Booperius Jan 28, 2019 @ 1:44am
Is this mod going to be updated for 2.2?
cbshing  [author] Oct 7, 2018 @ 2:51pm
@LordXenophon, I did make a mod as such called Tombing Planets, but it's out of date (still 1.9).
LordXenophon Sep 21, 2018 @ 12:37pm
How about a mod to terraform to a Tomb World the normal way - by bombarding it from orbit?
cbshing  [author] Jun 17, 2018 @ 6:48pm
@Serithiene, I think this should still work, but I came back and am catching up on updating all of my mods right now.

Does this work currently? It'd be pretty cool to have a tomb world empire. It's something I've not tried yet.
ZacharyBuilder Mar 31, 2018 @ 9:35am
alrighty
cbshing  [author] Mar 31, 2018 @ 9:14am
@ZacharyBuilder, it's all cool. I wanted to add the feature directly into the Origins Civics mod anyway, so I just recycled the code from this and updated it for 2.0. These should be no compatibility issues when I release the OC update (I hope). But let me know if you find something!
ZacharyBuilder Mar 31, 2018 @ 9:12am
thanks for taking some time out of your day, and yes i am using origin civics mod.
cbshing  [author] Mar 31, 2018 @ 9:10am
@ZacharyBuilder, I just updated this. If you are using the Origins Civics mod I'm also planning to add this directly into the mod, probably latest by tomorrow.
ZacharyBuilder Mar 30, 2018 @ 9:48pm
thanks
cbshing  [author] Mar 30, 2018 @ 7:12pm
@ZacharyBuilder, it's on my todo. I'm hoping this weekend I can release an update.
ZacharyBuilder Mar 30, 2018 @ 1:01pm
will this mod be updated to 2.0.2?
Rob Feb 24, 2018 @ 8:43am
Fair enough - thanks for the response!
cbshing  [author] Feb 24, 2018 @ 8:37am
@Rob, that’s a great idea, but I think i will just make it so that the weighting is higher if you have the post apocalyptic civic (make it in line with the weighting related to tomb world preference)
Rob Feb 24, 2018 @ 7:23am
Hey dude, I was thinking - perhaps if you choose to update this to 2.0 you could make a little event that gives you the tomb world terraforming tech if has_civic = civic_post_apocalyptic
cbshing  [author] Oct 15, 2017 @ 5:46pm
@Deveyer, I've modified the cost of terraforming so now its 2000 energy I also allowed the AI to terraform planets, but only if they have tomb world preference (I hope). I've done some testing and have not seen the AI terraform to a tomb world yet, but if you do find a bug let me know.
cbshing  [author] Oct 13, 2017 @ 9:00pm
@Deveyer, you got it. I'll look into that and see if the terraforming bug is still active as well before I release the update. I think it also makes sense since tomb worlds are kind of a tier1 planet for tomb world preference species.
Cheesemongle Oct 13, 2017 @ 8:15pm
the tier1 one. because it is easier to nuke a planet than make a better one
cbshing  [author] Oct 13, 2017 @ 5:02pm
@Deveyer, got to love the AI! That being said, that was when I did a playthrough in 1.6.2. It was also the reason why I made the mod human player's only, haha.

I can look into doing something about the energy cost. I know you mentioned 75% cheaper, but are you thinking it should be close to the tier1 terraforming cost (2000 energy) or the tier2 terraforming cost (5000 energy)?
Cheesemongle Oct 13, 2017 @ 4:46pm
oh right i forgot about that
cbshing  [author] Oct 13, 2017 @ 4:45pm
@Deveyer, thought about that since I made tombing planets (from the Tombing Planets mod) cheap. The AI then decided to change every planet into a tomb world since it was cheaper than terraforming to a usable planet type.
Cheesemongle Oct 13, 2017 @ 12:16am
should be 75% cheaper lol
cbshing  [author] Aug 14, 2017 @ 3:29am
@Cray935, @Rabbidsith, you're welcome! @Kellen - Dank Memes, I get what you are saying, but the spirit of this mod is to allow a player to terraform to tomb worlds without any extra special mechanics. That being said, the other mod Tombing Planets explores using a fleet to create tomb worlds, but right now it only works with inhabited worlds.
Kellen Aug 12, 2017 @ 3:59pm
this is kinda funny, having to use a terraforming station instead of a fleet to turn a planet into a tomb world.
Grace of Thule Aug 11, 2017 @ 12:43pm
Thanks.
Skill Less Aug 8, 2017 @ 11:13am
ahh thank you very much, *hitting subscribe* :D
cbshing  [author] Aug 7, 2017 @ 6:53pm
Hello @Cray935, I thought about it and changed the mod so you can terraform inhabited planets. Enjoy!
Skill Less Aug 7, 2017 @ 9:59am
i see, then never mind ^^
cbshing  [author] Aug 6, 2017 @ 4:26pm
Hello @Cray935, I did this by writing a condition into the terraform file for the mod that the planet has to be uncolonized. It does not affect vanilla files so only terraforming to tomb worlds is affected. I did this completely for head canon reasons. In my mind, to create a tomb world one essentially is destroying a planet with nuclear weapons (which occurs when the pre-FTL civs wipe themselves out), so I thought it does not make sense to terraforming living world since I am dropping bombs on it with people living on the planet. That was the force behind me creating the Tombing Planets companion mod. That being said, I don't mind changing this mod since it does feel like I rolled back to 1.5 for tomb worlds and doesn't really change much code.
Skill Less Aug 6, 2017 @ 10:41am
"Note, you can only terraform uncolonized planets to tomb worlds." Did you do anything for this explicitly? If yes, why? Stellaris got a new tech to terraform colonized worlds...
cbshing  [author] Aug 5, 2017 @ 5:59am
@Benjen, the AI should not be able to terraform to tomb worlds. This mod is intended for Human players only. If you find it does let me know and I will fix that.
Saint-Benjen Aug 5, 2017 @ 4:10am
Can the AI use it?
