I had the missing descriptor issue too, however, it worked after i removed the write-protection from the Stellaris Mod Folder in my Documents Folder. (Windows 11)

I can't even find the workshop ID number/folder. Does Steam Workshop not allow us to download the mod without the descriptor? If the only thing that's wrong is a missing Descriptor, then I could fix that myself.
nynikai Aug 3, 2022 @ 7:59am
Also having the missing descriptor issue.
Darn Oct 10, 2021 @ 9:13pm
The launcher will not let me turn this mod on as it says it is missing a discriptor file. Just thought I would mention it.

Love it! Thanks a lot! :Geralt:

Still works perfectly with ST: New Horizons! Thank you so much for making my dream mod for me!
FusionREactor7 Jul 15, 2019 @ 3:55pm
hey can you add the music from the DS9 episode The Siege of AR-558?
FusionREactor7 Jul 14, 2019 @ 11:57am

@Bovi Happy I could help facilitate a good memory! Thank you and enjoy the mod

The 50th Anniversary Suite ...

I was there for the first episode of the 1st Series. I was 15 years old, and I was hooked from the moment I saw the Kirk walk onto the bridge, fully in charge.

I feel old.

Great mod! Thanks ...

@Jim Jones I've never had that problem in vanilla Stellaris or modded Stellaris with or without my mod, so I think that might be a problem with your install. Beyond that, I don't know enough about the inner workings of the game to speculate on what could cause a crash like that.

Any particular reason why the game CTDs when I try to skip a song?
gatoriepet Mar 11, 2019 @ 5:46pm
I don't think it matters because the last update was minor, but please update it for the latest version in the mod info
CaptainBadger Feb 24, 2019 @ 1:17pm
Got it, thanks again for the help, it's rare to find someone actually willing to provide decently comprehensive information to answer a question, so I really do appreciate your efforts, I'm decently sure people have had the same question before but never asked for various reasons, so if nothing else your answer will help them too.

It really is a shame Tyrannicus didn't make a Part 6, especially since he had so much obvious talent in making the other parts.
JokerFett  [author] Feb 24, 2019 @ 9:38am
@CaptainBadger You're correct that there isn't a part 6, that was going to be the DS9/VOY themed suite that Tyrannicus never made and at this point probably never will which is a shame. When I converted the files originally I used a free program called "Audacity"; however that was over a year and a half ago so there may be better programs out there.
CaptainBadger Feb 24, 2019 @ 12:28am
On a final note, I notice there isn't a part 6 to the megasuite in the folder (I did find it), is there such a part or does the suite just jump from 5 to 7?

Also, what would you recommend I use to convert the files from OGG format to MP3? I recall doing something like this quite some time ago, but it's been so long that I'd prefer to ask in case someone knows a better way to go about this.
CaptainBadger Feb 23, 2019 @ 9:21pm
See, I thought they were on my computer, but the closest reference I could find was something saying that the game pulled the files from some mysterious source and the only reference to them doing that is in a text file, so it's good to know where the files are stored.

Thanks, it's great to know that the megasuite hasn't been lost to oblivion.
JokerFett  [author] Feb 23, 2019 @ 5:31pm
@CaptainBadger Have no despair because if you're subscribed to this mod, then the files are already on your computer. Stellaris saves mods inside the Steam directory on your computer which includes the audio files for music mods. For instance, this mod is saved for me at this destination "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\281990\1098695376" however if it's not the exact same for you, just search "FinalFrontierMusic" and you should find the zipped archive that has the .ogg music files. From there, it's just a simple step to extract the archive and convert the files into a more accessible format using a free audio converter program. I hope this helps you complete your collection of these wonderful musical suites!
CaptainBadger Feb 23, 2019 @ 4:16pm
Is there any possibility of getting a copy of the music files you've used in creating this? I notice you (somehow) managed to get a hold of Tyrannicus's entire Star Trek Megasuite, which has been all but impossible to acquire ever since they were taken down by YouTube's copyright minions, and I've been despairing of finishing the collection ever since.

I've attempted to contact Tyrannicus himself to no avail, so now I'm forced to seek alternate means of saving what is frankly one of the finest Star Trek tributary works I've ever experienced from oblivion.
SquadraCorse Oct 30, 2018 @ 1:03am
Is the ogg file for Mega Suite 3 corrupt? The sound cuts out at around 24 minutes and again at 31 minutes.
TortoTheConqueror Jul 17, 2018 @ 5:36pm
Can you increase the volume of the mega suites?
Cyphon22 May 5, 2018 @ 4:29pm
Dominion music??
JokerFett  [author] Mar 30, 2018 @ 7:42pm
@Lag Compensation All music mods are update-proof and will work perfectly no matter what the launcher says. Whenever I have more music to actually add to the mod, I will update.
TheWaffleInquisition Mar 30, 2018 @ 6:42pm
Update?
Dogtown1 Nov 27, 2017 @ 4:38pm
the "trekky" band image cracks me up ^_^ ....very funny, I cant stop laughing at Spock
Krigstorden Oct 21, 2017 @ 1:32pm
That thumbnail though. :D
JokerFett  [author] Oct 8, 2017 @ 8:24pm
As I said earlier in the comments, all music mods should be update proof but also I've tried updating it just superficially so that it displays compatibility but it did not change it here on the workshop. So it seems like I have to change something actually in the mod for it to update here and truthfully I don't have any more content to add at the present time.
laetra Oct 8, 2017 @ 8:20pm
Any progress on update?
Vic_Odin Oct 1, 2017 @ 1:27pm
Does it have "I Hate You" by Edge of Etiquette?
ODSTbag337 Sep 24, 2017 @ 7:14am
If it's like any other Paradox game I've played, music mods don't need updating unless it's to fix them or add to them.
Kaiser Nhyla Sep 22, 2017 @ 7:31pm
Thanks, I just kinda get OCD seeing the warning sign
JokerFett  [author] Sep 22, 2017 @ 6:33pm
@Dr. Smartypants all music mods should be update-proof but I'll see what I can do
Kaiser Nhyla Sep 22, 2017 @ 10:00am
Could you update for 1.8?
JokerFett  [author] Sep 15, 2017 @ 9:45am
@kerrigan1603 possibly but that honestly depends on both the quality of the show and its music
kerrigan1603 Sep 13, 2017 @ 11:00am
JokerFeet, will you be including the soundtrack to the new star trek series when it comes out?
JokerFett  [author] Sep 5, 2017 @ 9:48pm
@Cyphon22 I'm glad you're enjoying the mod! Right now, the continued making of suites is up to the original compiler Tyrannicus who is on a bit of a hiatus from the Star Trek suites. I'm not much of a music editor myself, but if I feel inspired one day, I may give it a try. That being said, don't expect any new additions like that anytime soon.
Cyphon22 Sep 5, 2017 @ 9:27pm
Will there be a Borg Suite and Romulan?
Cyphon22 Sep 5, 2017 @ 2:58am
I have been lisyening to WOk and Klingon suite for hours lol
JokerFett  [author] Aug 31, 2017 @ 6:20pm
@tacitus27 also to add, the WOK theme is present in the 50th Anniversary suite if you haven't given that one a listen already
JokerFett  [author] Aug 31, 2017 @ 6:11pm
@tacitus27 Yes, as a stylistic choice, Tyrannicus chose to close out the suite with the WOK theme instead of opening with it. Unfortunately, due to copyright claim on his YouTube video for that suite (which is where I sourced it from) several minutes of the suite are silenced where selections from TVH would be, so if it goes silent for a little bit that's not the end of the suite or an error. However the audio comes back just in time for the end. I've tried to get into contact with Tyrannicus to see about getting his source file, but that was weeks ago and he's been MIA on the internet for months, but I'd love to have the full version in the mod at some point.
Panam Aug 31, 2017 @ 5:57pm
Question: Is the opening title theme to Wrath of Khan in here?
Best ST music ever.
I'm listening to it now, but it sounds like the WOK suite is centered around the Enterprise/Reliant battle.

@Azores link in the description
Azores Aug 12, 2017 @ 9:12am
Where did you get that photo? It's amazing XD
JokerFett  [author] Aug 11, 2017 @ 10:33pm
@J1mBlack that'll be the main theme from Star Trek: New Horizons which if I'm not mistaken is an original compilation/composition made for the mod
lord_y1mbo Aug 11, 2017 @ 7:43pm
Joker, or anyone else who recognizes the theme. The main theme when you load into the game is labeled as "Utopia Main theme for me" but its a mix of next gen, voyager, and I think something else. I was trying to find it, if anyone knows the name of the symphony that played it. Was it the 50th anniversary one or...

Who else voted this up and added it to favourites because of the picture before reading the rest of the description?

Thank you for this mod, by the way.
lord_y1mbo Aug 8, 2017 @ 8:31pm
Sorry Joker I was an idiot. I found the youtube link to it.

Anyway to get a full list or is it just the one in game.

I would listen to this all day.
