Version 1.8.* update!

This update hopes to bring the mod a bit more in line with the vanilla experience while still buffing stations that needed it.

Post-1.6 update, the following changes have been made compared to the current vanilla game:
+Smaller military stations have received the biggest buff; 5000 to 8000.
+Medium military stations have gotten a smaller buff; 15,000 to 16,000.
+Large military stations have received no buff at all; remain at 40,000.

Oddly, the devs still did not buff civilian stations. This mod addresses these similar to before:
+All civilian stations have received roughly a x4 hitpoint buff (to bring them a bit more closer in line with small military stations).

Finally, regarding building zone restrictions: I appreciate the devs efforts to reduce station spam in favor of stronger stations. I'm not married to the idea, but I want to try for something between this new method and old method:
+All sizes of military structures now have the same zone restriction (same as vanilla), but that zone has been reduced from 200 to 80 (to put them roughly in range of each other with only large guns).

The idea of this last part is to, again, reduce the urge to spam stations, but make "death blossom" station defenses still possible at a more limited extent. If this proves to be OP, I will adjust the range accordingly.

In an effort to make stations more viable in late game, I have roughly halved their placement blocking limits. You can now more effectively build rings of stations to provide cover for eachother. They still won't save you against massive fleets, but they are at least a viable defense through mid-game.

As Frontier Outposts are a key component to cementing your hold over territory and smart opponents will focus on killing these asap, I thought it was only fitting they get an additional buff to offset their other weaknesses. Like all other stations, I have not touched any other stats so FO's are still incapable of fighting off even a modest enemy fleet. The difference is now they will hopefully last long enough for you to respond to the attack.

Specific changes below:
+Further improved Frontier Outpost hitpoints from 6000 to 12000 (vanilla is 2000).
+Fixed version incompatibility flag for 1.4.1
