V2.1 Beta: That Nasty Mint-Green

========================

- Hey it's been awhile! Between the current health crisis, other hobbies, and just Life Happening, this update's taken some time. But I've been working on some fun new stuff for the mod, following up on 2.0's theme of what hides beneath the surface...

- Added the Strange Ooze liquid. Recipe is obtained from the CQ-80, like other Octo Expansion-related items; please re-use your CQ-80 to learn the recipe! It can be crafted at the Inkling Crafting Table and at any crafting station where you can create stimpacks.
-- Strange Ooze is easy to craft, using materials that can all drop from the special tentacle crop. Or, if you're THAT kind of person, Inkling NPCs can occasionally drop its materials when killed..
-- It's used for a few recipes that have been retooled and simplified, namely the Sanitized wigs and the Vial of Shimmering Ooze (which has been renamed to Vial of Strange Ooze).
-- To accommodate these changes, the tentacle crop has had its harvest pools updated to better support Strange Ooze creation.

- Added a third level of Sanitization status.
You might seen it before: the "light" version that the Vial of Strange Ooze gives, and the more intense version that the Berserk Agent's Gaze headgear gives to the wearer. This update adds an INCREDIBLY strong version of the status, administered to players and mobs alike upon direct exposure to Strange Ooze. This version is incredibly fast-acting, extremely damaging, and will very quickly kill those exposed to it...

- ... Unless?
All three Sanitized wigs (tier 5 + 6 wigs, and the unstatted standalone wig), now provide full immunity to all forms of Sanitization status.
-- Note that these block sanitization OUTRIGHT, not just the damaging effect of it. You won't get any perks by wearing these and dosing up on ooze, it just won't work at all on you.
-- As with all status-giving clothes, they'll have to be in the equipped clothing slot for their protective effects to work, not the social/cosmetic clothing slot.

- Added the Kamabo Co. Tentatails, based off of the second Octoling hairstyle! (It only took forever, oops.)
-- Recipe is obtained from the CQ-80, be sure to reuse it!

- Added the Golden Toothpick, a tier 5 (manipulator) headgear! Wear it proudly.
-- Also obtained from the CQ-80!

- Added the Sunbathed wigs: tier 6 (accelerator) wigs that combine the four Agent 8 wigs with the Golden Toothpick to truly show off your pride and achievement. These wigs ALSO have the same special status effect as the sanitized wigs: they give the wearer full immunity to sanitization and poison.
-- They can be crafted after creating a Golden Toothpick, which will give you the recipes on pickup.

- Added the Kamabo Co. Dualies. Their recipe is obtained from the CQ-80, or by picking up a Vial of Strange Ooze; you can easily get the recipe from dropping+picking up the latter.
-- They're tier 6, and can be crafted in pairs at the Accelerator crafting station.
-- Their shots cause moderate sanitization effects on impact with a target, and also splash small amounts of Strange Ooze here and there.

- Added the Kamabo Co. Charger. Similarly to the dualies, their recipe is obtained from the CQ-80 or from a Vial of Strange Ooze.
-- It's tier 6 and can be crafted at the Manipulator crafting station.
-- Its shots inflict severe sanitization effects on impact with a target, but do not splash any Strange Ooze.

- Added the Clean Poster, to remind you to wash your hands and stay clean in these disorienting times.
Just don't get TOO clean...

- Added the Clean Mask! Not only does it also provide immunity to sanitization and poison, it'll help cover your face too.

- All Splattershot / pistol models now leave a bit of sticky slime behind with each shot!
-- This is especially fun with Frackin Races, which gives Inklings an immunity to slime slow while other races don't have this immunity!

- Nearly all ranged weapons now color whatever their shots hit.

- All tiered armor* can now be dyed in all colors, with every color palette carefully chosen by hand for peak freshness!
-- *This includes the: Aviator's set (t1), Iconic Squid set (t2), Traditional set (t3), Agent set (t4), Kamabo Co. set (t4, no wigs but both pants), Octoling Soldier set (t5a), Fresh Octoling set (t5a-alt), Samurai set (t5m), Armored Agent set (t5s), Octoling Elite set (t6a), Shogun's set (t6m), Chill Idol's set (t6m-alt), War Hero set (t6s), and Rebel Idol's set (t6s-alt)!
-- This does NOT include variations of any of these items (such as wigs or the Berserk Agent's gaze)-- not yet. These variations are next up on the list, along with the Off the Hook clothing sets, the original Squid Sisters sets, and other tiered clothes!
-- Tier 4 wigs cannot be dyed due to their color complexity.
-- Nontiered clothes are lowest priority but I'll get to them at some point.

- To accommodate these changes, some very minor color and structure changes have been applied to select tiered armor, such as the tier 5 Accelerator set and others. These are super small, subtle changes to create more cohesion between colors across sets!

- Slapped mech patching and behavior a bit, and it all works safely and predictably in testing. (Maybe it'll actually work with Frackin Universe now?)

- Fixed the Werewolf Shirt's icon.
- Fixed mysterious pixel issues on the Orderly Idol's Top.

Summer Bugfixes: v2.0.3Z

===============

- Fixed the Bamboozler MK III's shot, it got typo'd. How did that evade me for this long???
- Surf'n'Turf food no longer makes the game explode. Had a typo'd status effect somehow.
- FF Marina wig was throwing an absolute fit in the error logs about not having a mask.png file. Despite the fact that it and many other wig items work JUST FINE without a mask.png file, I made it one. I hope this doesn't backfire.
- Reset the Inkling mech back to an ingame mech type because APPARENTLY trying to make it work like others do doesn't work.
Someone please tell/show me how to make the mech patching compatible with FU lmao.

FinalFest Goodies: v2.0.3

===============

- Added two new outfits based off of Pearl and Marina's respective outfits for Final Fest.
-- They are tier 5 and all Inklings should know the recipes by default.
You can craft these sets at their respective tier 5 crafting tables.

- Added FOUR new hats based off of the newsfeed freebies for Final Fest! I think they're all pretty neat.
-- These do not have stats, and are crafted with a Basic Splatfest Shirt + assorted ingredients from the Inkling Crafting Table's clothing section.
-- As usual, these recipes are unlocked upon picking up a Basic Splatfest Shirt, which you can get at Jelonzo's stand or through the SplatNet vendor.

- Added two new awesome pieces of graffiti, one for each team. Show your team pride!

- Turned tier 6 machine pistols into Dualies as they should be.
- Shuffled around Dualies models into different tiers for [future planning reasons].

- Still tweaking Splattershot & Dualies lines stats.

- there might be visual bugs on the clothes/hats somewhere, it's 4 AM and I'm going to sleep. will do more testing tomorrow to make sure I didn't miss anything lol

Flash Fixes: V2.0.2

===============

- Inklings now have some cute secondary color stripes on their arms. :)

- Added a handful of new body colors, mostly "what if ink tinted skin?" sorts of ones.

- Tweaked that one weird sleeve on one of the starter shirts, HOPEFULLY that'll stop clipping.

- Added a bit of content to hopefully bring the mod into full compatibility with Frackin Universe.
-- It was listed as having incorrect/improper mech matching; something has been added to address this. This is still a full work in progress, because squids absolutely shouldn't be driving THAT.

- Smaller adjustments. . .

- yeah there's more content planned for July but right now I'm doing a bunch of other stuff? there will Absolutely be stuff for Splatocalypse though!

Pew Pew Pew, Part One: v2.0.1

===============

- Fixed the Marinaded pants recipe to actually work instead of just being a recipe for the shirt. :\ Sorry about that!

- Fixed the Tentacle Clipping recipe to be more accessible.
-- Remember, you can still get Tentacle Clippings from starter Inkling ship treasurepools, and also rarely from harvesting a fully grown Tentacle. The recipe exists for the sake of pre-v2.0 Inklings.

- Ammo Knights no longer sells wire due to Sheldon trying to give the stuff away for free.

- All vanilla Splattershots have been retooled to have higher DPS and lower energy costs, with some subtle fire rate changes! The tier 5 and 6 models in particular have been spiffed up. They are also now all 2-handed to reflect their original Splatoon/2 functionality (but visually appear to be 1-handed, which may or may not be addressed in the future), and are "Shooters" instead of "Handguns" to reflect Splatoon flavoring.
-- This is not the final stats for these, it's likely that they will be changed further. I'm trying to balance them to be a viable option as opposed to Dualies, as well as to other guns that have extreme firepower (Splatlings) or incredibly strong single shots (Chargers).
-- Modified Shooters have not yet been retooled for stat modification, but it will definitely happen. This whole update is meant to be a quick bugfix and introduction of TLC for Inkling guns.
-- Recipes may change in the future to be more challenging to make up for their buffed stats. idk lol
-- The tier 4 Splattershot has been renamed to "Hero Shot Replica" for overall consistency with everything.

- All Machine Pistols have had their DPS and energy costs somewhat retooled to facilitate their 1-handed status! In the same vein, the unmodified tier 2, 3, 4 and 5 Machine Pistols have all been changed up a bit to reflect their playstyle!
-- They're now all called "Dualies". Let's call them that from now on.
-- Stat changes for Dualies are also not final and are subject to change.
-- Modified Dualies currently still use the old N-Zap and -Matic models and have not had their stats tweaked. New models, along with a new look for the tier 6 Dualies, will come in time.
-- Because the t2~5 Dualies have a cool new look, they'll also be getting new recipes for their vanilla versions. Not now, but at some point.

- The Octoling vendor at the Outpost has been rerolled to have a different spawn seed, and as such is hopefully no longer in post-sanitization rehabilitation.
-- inb4 she is because i only just changed the spawn seed and didn't actually check
-- but i will check at some point

The LARGE V2.0.0 Changelog!

===============

=== i. New Content ===

- Introducing Flooded planets! These planets, designed after the post-human Earth of Splatoon, are based off of the Oceanic biome but boast resources, residents and ruins not found on vanilla Oceanic planets. They can be found orbiting Temperate and Radioactive stars, so grab your Oxygen Tank and prepare accordingly!
-- Due to them using dungeons that usually don't appear on islands or underwater, Flooded planets take extra time to load their resources upon being generated, and it reflects in the Starbound.log text file. This is completely normal.
-- Yes, I know there's a bunch of missing objects from the Inkling City dungeon. That's being worked on and tested, and might be fixed someday.
-- Flooded planets will not be found by pre-existing characters, as their universe file is mostly already set. You're much more likely to find them by creating a new character.

- Added the CQ-80 to the outpost's octoling merchant! When used, this trinket unlocks a whole variety of Octo Expansion content that's been added, so be sure to go pick one up today!

- Added a couple new codices.

- Added three clothing sets. The Kamabo Co. set has three versions of headgear (sorry, no ponytail version right now!) and two versions of leg gear; these differences are purely cosmetic.
-- The paired clothing sets are tier 3 while the standalone set is tier 4.

- Added an assortment of new objects. Some are purely decorative, some are interactive, some have questionable uses. All of them are wonderful.
-- And one of them is a big QOL fix: the Splatnet Laptop! It acts as all four main vendors in one, with a couple items added or removed (no more cheap silk for you, you gotta build the vendor stall for that) and everything a tad more expensive than usual.. but the price is worth it for convenience! You can craft it at the Engineer's Table with the four main vendor objects and some Durasteel Bars, and you start with the recipe.

- Added an assortment of new hats and wigs, including gear inspired by the latest Splatfest (yes i know one of those is missing, it will be added when it's ready). Some are available from the Cooler Heads stall while others must be crafted.

- Added the School Blazer chest item, because it really needed to exist. It can be found at the Jelly Fresh stall.

- Added the Hero Shot Neo, a replica of the Splattershot mimic from Splatoon 2's vanilla story mode. It's a two-handed pistol with some fairly tough stats, and can be found at any Spyke vendor.

- Added many more prepared foods and recipes (11 or so), as well as a custom Inkling cooking table that facilitates all recipe types. Most of these recipes are available to Inklings from the start, while others are unlockable. The cooking table is available earlier than its vanilla equivalent: it can be made directly from the Inventor's Table without upgrades required.
-- Also added was a smaller cooking table that only makes drinks, condiments, and.. buffs? You'll know it when you see it, that's for sure.

- Added a farmable tentacle crop, based off of how Octarian society seems to grow synthetic meat and Octarians in labs. These tentacles drop Raw Tentacles, Tentacle Clippings (which acts as the seed for the crop), and rarely, Vials of Ink and Slime blocks; they regrow after being harvested and tend to take anywhere from 7 to 12 minutes to mature.
-- This crop behaves like an aquatic crop, and needs to be immersed in liquid to grow. Any liquid is fine, water is easiest.
-- You can create a Tentacle Clipping by combining Raw Tentacles + Soy Sauce at a medical crafting table.. or you can just find a few of them in the shiplocker upon creating a new character.

- Added a new consumable buff that is made primarily from the products of the above crop. This buff item is used to craft a couple of other things, as well...

=== ii. Character Additions & Alterations ===

- Added 19 new colors for your tentacles and markings!

- Added one new body color palette.

- Added a handful of new names into random name generator list.

- Touched up a few hairstyles and made varieties of existing hairstyles in the form of hairstyles without secondary color accents! With these new alternate styles, the tally of available hairstyles (including the three or so gender-specific ones) is roughly 76.
-- This adds a lot more variety to character creation and generation, both for the player and ingame, because some hairstyles don't wear a secondary color that well, and it's tedious to have to pick the same color as your secondary.

- Revamped the spritework on the Inkling body sprites and made males + females much more similar, based on a lot of observations that there's really not much dimorphism at all in canon. Assets such as tech skins have been edited accordingly.
-- Additionally, all clothing items for the chest have been inspected and fixed up for stray pixels, clipping, and other issues.
-- yes that includes the Anchor Tee, @ me who didn't notice issues with it until she started actually testing everything

=== iii. Edits, Fixes & Buffs ===

- Buffed the DEATH CAN's damage, changed it to function like a Broadsword, gave it a special and tweaked its element+effects. It's now a little bit more worth the Super Sea Snail pricetag, and generally needed the love because it's an in-joke weapon that I enjoy very much.
-- You can also now only obtain the DEATH CAN from Spyke. I don't know why it was available at Ammo Knights, because that makes it less special. This is supposed to be a dangerous metagame-ruining weapon, darn it!

- Fixed up the first three tiers of the Inkbrush line, which now all have specials due to being Broadswords. Also, removed any and all recipes involving the original Shortsword Inkbrushes; while the original items may still exist, you won't be able to craft them anymore.

- Fixed a multitude of bugs, including: idol outfit sets not having equivalent stats to their counterparts; vanilla Heavy Splatling firing issues; and other more minor things.

- A small assortment of Inkling dialogue, as well as a couple of codices, have been changed up in some places so that the mod remains consistent lore-wise with both my worldbuilding and the canon material.

- Small numerical adjustments on weapons and armor for consistency, balance, and other big important words that act as reasons.
