v3.9.0 : the Big Bucket Update

- Added a new weapon type: Sloshers!

These weaponized buckets play like nothing else, flinging big projectiles forward to make a mess. The standard Slosher flings a large blob forward that drops smaller splashes under it; the Explosher launches a single round blob that explodes on contact with the ground; and the Bloblobber flings bouncing, piercing projectiles that fizzle out after some time. Though their stats may look low, the projectile spam and energy cost of these fanciful buckets will serve you well with the right gear!

Tier 3 sloshers can be made at the Inkfish Crafting Table and the appropriate anvil, while tier 4 sloshers are only at their anvil. Tier 5 & 6 sloshers of all kinds are found at the Manipulator crafting table! You may also rarely find the tier 3 Slosher, tier 5 Explosher, and tier 5 Bloblobber in treasure pools when exploring. :)

There are currently 3 variants:
-- Slosher: comes in 5 variants, covering tiers 3 through 6. Octolings and Inklings have different models for their tier 4 option.
-- Explosher: comes in 2 variants, covering tiers 5 & 6. Octolings only, Inklings must get the recipe from others.
-- Bloblobber: comes in 2 variants, covering tiers 5 & 6. Inklings only, Octolings must get the recipe from others.

- Added a new altfire type: Sprinklers!
They're just like the real thing, throw them and they stick to a wall while spraying inky projectiles everywhere. They break after a short while.

- Added a new altfire type: Angle Shooters!
Tossing one of these creates a bouncing beam of light that slightly damages anything it touches, tagging it with the Marked status effect! This makes the target extra-visible while giving it a slight armor penalty.

- Added a new altfire type: Point Sensors!
Similar to the Angle Shooter, this gadget creates an area of effect where all hostiles within will be tagged with the Marked status effect.

- Note that the Marked status effect is prone to change depending on balance and how we feel it could be improved. This status effect is odd to translate from the Splatoon series, so it may do different things or have stronger effects in the future.

- Stringers now all properly fire multiple shots now, with shot behavior changing depending on charge status! Their damage has been altered to reflect this, and may be altered against in the future for balance purposes.

- Added the New Frontiers Spacesuit and New Frontiers Leggings, both new tier 5-manipulator additions meant to make a complete set with the New Frontiers Earphones. Modeled after Neo Agent 3's final armor set, this outfit is known from the start by both Inklings and Octolings. Like the Earphones, the Spacesuit and Leggings require the tier 4 equivalents to be crafted.
-- The Spacesuit, like the other Neo Agent 3 chest items, protects from extreme heat conditions.
-- The Leggings protect from extreme cold conditions.
-- There will not be a tier6 upgrade to this set. Consider it the price you pay for having heat+cold protection on craftable armor.
-- If playing as an Octoling, picking these up will give you the recipe for the codex "That Heavenly Melody", previously an Inkling-exclusive recipe.

- Added the Kamabo Co. Spear. Not for the faint of hearts, this spear doesn't hit particularly hard with its gross old blade, but the toxins it injects with each stab are incredibly strong.
-- This is a tier 6 weapon and as such requires the materials + crafting table for endgame weapons; its recipe is reliant on using a CQ-80 to unlock Octo Expansion/Deepsea Metro recipes. It can also, very very rarely, be found as a drop from hostile Sanitized NPCs.

- Added three new Ink Tank types: the Agent's Ink Tank, the Octarian Ink Tank and the Spire Ink Tank! These are higher-tier ink tanks that provide various buffs and effects on top of oxygen and radiation protection.
-- Inklings start with the Agent's Ink Tank recipe, Octolings start with the Octarian Ink Tank recipe, and both need to unlock the Spire Ink Tank using a Blank Palette.
-- These items are fairly special: the Octarian tank can't be crafted by Inklings, and the Agent's tank can't be crafted by Octolings. But there will be ways in the future for anyone to obtain these.

- Added a new codex, meant to compliment the codex "That Heavenly Melody". It currently can't be crafted, only found in Inkling habitations.
-- And yes, those are the actual lyrics!

- Added a new EPP Augment: the Clean Augment! This slots into any back item and provides immunity to Sanitization of all forms.
-- It cannot be crafted or bought, instead being rarely found in treasure associated with Kamabo Co. and Sanitized Octolings.

- Added a fun new object: the Farming Sprinkler! Identical to the altfire Sprinkler but not breaking after use, this cute sprinkler waters your crops more efficiently than the generic vanilla Sprinkler.
-- Both races can craft it from the start!

- Added the Cephalon-Style Streetlamp and Cephalon-Style Lantern. Based off of the charming architecture found in the depths of Splatoon 2's Octo Canyon, these lamps provide some colorful lighting for all your needs.
-- Octolings start with the recipes, including all 4 colorways for the Streetlamp (pink/green/yellow are crafted at the Dye station!). Inklings will have to pick up one of these objects to learn the recipe, but will be able to obtain them from NPCs in the future.

- Added an assortment of public safety signs, because we lacked them and they're fun decor and my Smallfry won't stop chattering about them. Also that one store sign I forgot to make recipes for? Uh, it's accessible now. Oops!
-- Inklings get signs 5, 6, and 7; Octolings get signs 6, 7, and 8. They can learn each other's exclusives by picking them up and such.

- Added another album cover to brighten up your wall. :)
-- Both races get this from the start.

- Added the Classic Kamidana, because I think the octopuses can do a little Shinto, as a treat.
-- Octolings know this from the start. Inklings will have to learn it otherwise, but they might get their own kamidana version later because Squid Shinto is real too.

- The Scavenger's Croptop and Explorer's Overcoat now protect against extreme heat. You can use them as extreme heat resistance on planets with those effects in play.

- The Slosher (t3), Explosher (t5) and Bloblobber (t5) have all been added to treasurepool lists, with the two t5 weapons being exclusive to the race that crafts them.

- The Kamabo Co. Charger, Kamabo Co. Dualies, and Kamabo Co. Scalpel are all now very, very rare drops from Sanitized Octoling NPCs.

- Burst bombs have a unique explosion now, and have had many of their parameters altered for better damage, physics, and overall application.

- Splat bombs and suction bombs, specifically the item versions, have had their damage and physics altered for balance purposes. You can't craft a whole ton of them to just oneshot everything now... but their damage DOES still scale with armor and other buffs.

- The Idol Merchant, found occasionally in the Inkling City, sells a fun new item. Meant to be a pixel sink, this surprise bag has all sorts of stuff inside, including particularly rare treasure... but it might also just give you an Inkbrush. :p

- Altfire bombs have been tweaked in energy cost and damage to be a bit more balanced.

- The Orderly Idol's set has been shifted to Seperator focus to balance out the tier 5 armor options.

- Moved some recipes:
-- Wellspring V (t6 bow) was moved to Accelerator table.
-- Bass Dropper's Claws & Octobot King's Impact (t5, t6 fist weapons) were moved to Separator table.

- Fixed a bit of missing antennae on the sleeping sprite for the Drone, Jelly, Luck, Power, Range and Support amphipods.

- Sanitized Octolings now spray Strange Ooze when they're splatted.

- Back items added by the mod, including the 3 new ink tanks, can all take augments now.

- Made some small fixes to the Octoling city (both variants) to patch security flaws.

Opdatering: 11. jan. kl. 23:43

- Tweaked the spriting on Octoling eyes because I somehow completely spaced on this for 2 weeks. Their eyes are now consistent with Inkling eyes, which was the original intention.

- All chargers now have a laser pointer, just like the real thing.

- Added some assets for future dungeon-making efforts.

Opdatering: 11. jan. kl. 23:22

- Added an assortment of new .abc files for players to jam to. These arranges are all used with permission from their composers, thank you :)
-- Mr Eb: Till Depth Do Us Part, Splattack!, Anarchy Rainbow, Calamari Inkantation (new version)
-- Mrjackamo: #11 Above
-- Hamnokunsei: Hide and Sleek, Smeared Canvas

- Fixed an issue with one of the new nudibranch variants.

- Fixed an issue where the Kamabo Co. Inktank couldn't be crafted by Octolings. They can now do just that, with no need for extra recipe unlocks; other races will need a CQ-80 to learn the recipe. Otherwise, you can also find these in chests/etc and from merchant NPCs.

- Back-end work for mod compatibility.

Opdatering: 30. dec. 2024 kl. 21:06

Fixed ANOTHER issue where Sanitized NPCs were dropping the wrong items.

Opdatering: 30. dec. 2024 kl. 20:55

Fixed an issue that made NPCs have issues pathing around the teleporter in the Octoling ship.

Opdatering: 30. dec. 2024 kl. 14:52

- Fixed issue with colorpink status causing invulnerability.
- Fixed issue with Universal Uncrafter compatibility with scrappable items.

- Buffed the paralysis duration on weapons with the Octobite Bomb special. It lasts a little over a second now.
- Most Order weapons now turn things the correct color, besides ones that don't use ink (Order Knife) and the Order Blaster because it was misbehaving.

- Applied tags to various weapons for FU compatibility.

Opdatering: 29. dec. 2024 kl. 12:29

- Added racial text for Cuboid Sushi Poster (inklingposter10).

- Added recipes and racial text for Inert? Suction Bomb (insuctionbomb), Squidwave Sticker (insticker14), and Squidforce Sticker (insticker15).
-- Both inkfish races know the recipe for insuctionbomb by default, you craft it at the Dye Shelf using a Suction Bomb. Other races will need to pick the object up to learn the recipe.
--The two stickers' recipes are only learned by picking up the object, regardless of race. These are made at the Inkling Crafting Table.

- Squashed bugs involving inklingcity and octolingcity dungeons.
-- If you continue to find issues with these dungeons, please don't engage with the planets they're on, because they don't fix themselves retroactively.

- Updates for inkling.raceeffect and inkling.species.patch, as well as the additions of octoling.raceeffect and octoling.species.patch, were pushed by me as a merge request on Frackin Universe's github.
These should be present and active when FU opts to update next.
