  • Updated IsaacSaveManager to v2.3.1. Last update to the save manager accidentally broke any callbacks that would have some sort of effect for floor-specific saves before it was reset on the next floor. This affected Alternate Reality, Epitaph, Palliuim, and Escort Beggar

Another small update. Pushing due to a critical error I overlooked in regards to T. Peter that can cause a cascade of potential issues
  • Fixed Tainted characters causing errors for Love Teller's EID display and not receiving anything for getting the machine to pay out
  • Fixed enemies who spawned from submerged enemies not being counted as flipped by T. Peter, not gaining the Strength status effect and potentially causing other issues
  • Fixed Fiend Folio's Splattercap unable to be flipped as T. Peter

Fixed taking damage in Great Gideon's room enacting the penalty for getting hit while sparing bosses while Gideon wasn't being spared

I took some time to gather bug reports and evaluate the state of the characters, namely Peter and Tainted Peter, and fix a ton of smaller things all over the mod I looked over on the initial release. There's still room for improvement but I didn't want to leave this update hanging for too much longer. Thank you everyone for playing the mod!

General Adjustments
  • Renamed "Two of Shields" to "2 of Shields"
  • Removed error buzz when Keys to the Kingdom fails to spare any enemies in the room
  • Spotlights that appear when using Keys to the Kingdom on bosses no longer appear on every segment of a segmented enemy (Larry Jr., Chub, etc)
  • Turned off debug text and changed "INDEV" version string to proper version numbering
  • Leaking Tank Q0 -> Q2
  • Tambourine Q0 -> Q1
  • Spiritual Wound's (T. Miriam's attack) attacking SFX will no longer play if you tap the attack buttons and do not continue firing
  • Removed from Gold Chest Item Pool: Wine Bottle, Iron
  • Removed from Greed Mode pools: Pharaoh Cat
  • Added to Beggar Pool: Box of Belongings
  • Added to Treasure Pool in both modes: Heart Embedded Coin. This was intended from the start but was spelled incorrectly in the xml file
  • Added to Secret pool in both modes: Pillar of Clouds
  • Removed from Greed Mode Treasure pool: Pillar of Clouds
  • Blacklisted from Greed Mode: Backspace Key, Enter Key, Grass, Escape Plan, Dungeon Key
  • F4 Key + Alt Key synergy will no longer activate in Greed Mode

Gameplay Changes
Peter & Keys to the Kingdom
  • Increased stats gained from sparing bosses and enemies
  • Removed cap of gaining a maximum of 6 different stats from spared bosses per boss in the room
  • Spared bosses now grant 3 random stats (from 2) and minibosses now grant 2 (from 1)
  • Removed stats not able to be gained when sparing enemies that spawned from other enemies
  • Non-boss enemies spawned from other enemies can no longer grant soul charges
  • Adjusted chance of gaining soul charges from non-boss enemies. Now increases with each floor and should be gained less often
  • Peter can now gain charges from collecting black/soul heart pickups, even while at full health
  • Segmented and splitting bosses should no longer drop charges on death of each segment/piece, instead respecting that each individual boss, upon death of all segments/split parts, should only drop one boss soul charge
  • Enemies no longer drop soul charges in rooms where it would grant a holy mantle charge
  • Removed penalty for hitting a boss while it is being spared
  • Spared bosses should no longer spawn any extra enemies they would on death. This is prominent for splitting bosses (Fistula, Envy, Matriarch, etc)
  • The Visage can now be spared in their first phase
  • Great Gideon can now be spared. He will become docile instead of being removed

Tainted Peter & Muddled Cross
  • T. Peter: Now has a starting speed of 1.25
  • T. Peter: Removed all previous methods of recharging Muddled Cross (room clear, timed recharge in clear room, killing enemies). They are instead gained from submerging 10 enemies, 10th of a charge per enemies. This can be reduced by AAA Battery and 9 Volt
  • T. Peter: The extra enemy room flip duration gained from the amount of submerged enemies is capped at a total of 30 seconds. Car Battery allows this to extend up to a full minute
  • T. Peter: Enemy room flip no longer instantly flips back upon killing an enemy if there are enemies in the room that are normally available on both ends of the reflection, such as any bosses
  • T. Peter: Enemy room flip destroys all projectiles in the room instead of in a small radius around each player
  • Non-T.Peter: Muddled Cross is no longer charged across all players and all active slots simultaneously with every kill. They now only charge one Muddled Cross to the player that dealt the killing blow to the enemy.
  • Non-T. Peter: Increased number of enemies required to kill to recharge Muddled Cross from 18 to 30
  • Global modifier: Stoneys and Shopkeepers are now present on both sides of T. Peter's reflection
  • Global modifier: Pressure Plates can now be interacted with on both sides of T. Peter's water
  • Global modifier: Anything submerged in T. Peter's water no longer takes damage from spikes, including T. Peter himself
  • Global modifier: Will-o-Wisps added to blacklist, available on both sides of the water
  • Global modifier: Should now be able to interact with the White Fireplace

Other
  • Added numerous synergies for Tech IX with other weapon-changing items
  • Old Camera's photo pickups spawn Purgatory ghosts on a brief delay rather than all at the same time
  • Full heals such as XIX
  • The Sun and Rainbow Poops no longer bump Heart Renovator's counter to 99. This was unintentional, but now instead add the same amount of red hearts you had before the full heal
  • Rotten Apple's Damage Up changed to +1 (from +2)
  • Moon Hearts are now compatible with Soul Locket and Immaculate Conception
  • Added a Half Moon Heart. These do not spawn naturally and are primarily for interactions with other effects that spawn a half heart variant, such as "0
  • The Fool?"
  • Keys to the Kingdom, Apocalypse, and The Dreidel have switched to a tears up formula instead of a direct modification of fire delay (though this won't stop it from breaking the cap because the API is awesome like that)

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed Peter's soul hearts being absorbed into Keys to the Kingdom when continuing a run if not fully charged
  • Fixed Keys to the Kingdom returning an error when attempting to spawn dust clouds for bosses with an odd-numbered hitsphere size
  • Fixed an error with T. Peter if you had a costume on that overrode your default hair costume
  • Fixed Muddled Cross constantly making beeping noises while fully charged in uncleared rooms
  • Fixed enemies that spawned from other enemies not properly obeying the rules of which side of T. Peter's water they should be on
  • Fixed entities that are allowed on both sides of T. Peter's water unable to interact with entities on only one side
  • Fixed returning to the starting room after entering, room-flipping, and exiting an off-grid room, such as angel and devil rooms
  • Starting health and starting costumes now use the vanilla API instead of REPENTOGON due to a few reports of them not working, resulting in instant death/baldness
  • Fixed The Forgotten gaining The Soul's soul hearts when swapping between the two forms
  • *Should* have fixed Glowing Hourglass not reverting internal save data (not achievements)
  • Fixed soul orbs for Keys to the Kingdom still spawning when sparing segmented bosses (Larry Jr., Chub, etc)
  • Removed rooms with unused enemies
  • Fixed Moon Heart, Tab Key, and Soul of Peter not properly updating the visibility of specific rooms immediately upon use
  • Fixed having Tech IX removed while having special synergies (Brimstone, Ludovico Technique) not update what you should be firing (Brimstone shooting tears, Ludo still having a Tech Ludo ring)
  • Fixed softlock with Gemini and Steven when sparing them with Keys to the Kingdom
  • Fixed Keys to the Kingdom able to spare in the Dogma/Beast fight. Should now grant a Holy Mantle
  • Fixed split pieces of Envy not being counted as minibosses
  • Fixed explosions left by tears being visible on both sides of T. Peter's water
  • Fixed unintended endless damage reduction when constantly swapping out Alabaster Scrap with another trinket

EID Fixes
  • Adjusted Keys to the Kingdom's description to slightly reduce wording and clarify removing devil deals grants a permanent stat
  • Fixed E Key's and Juno's EID entries having a missing texture markup
  • Adjusted T. Miriam's EID entry to make note of damage scaling with range
  • Adjusted Moon Heart's EID entry for less wording and adding mention of effect upon heart depletion

Not the 1.1 update. I'm still cooking that up! Just wanted to make a quick patch.

  • Removed constant beeping from Muddled Cross in cleared rooms
  • Turned off debug text
  • Version in debug console now reads 1.0.1 instead of INDEV_REWRITE
